"I made love to her mind before I got to her body, and when I got to her body, she was already wet."
RahMeek, hometown hero and spearhead of Philly's most notorious drug ring, is serving a bid upstate after falling victim to someone else's misfortune. By a quirk of fate, he meets the beautiful thought-provoking Bella. RahMeek quickly puts her stereotyping to rest after attesting the beliefs of "a nigga behind bars." He proved, unwaveringly, that his reach was far beyond the bars that held him captive. Although a bit apprehensive, Bella finally submits to his chivalry. RahMeek takes her on the wildest ride of her dreams as he captures her mind... In anticipation of her body.
Roc and Kelly sheds light on that forever kind of love that even the toughest candidate dreams of. Kelly is not only devoted to her relationship with Roc, but she has made his hardships hers as well. However, under despair, Roc hasn't proved to be the man that Kelly once knew him to be. The doting girlfriend is wounded after discovering Roc's infidelities. Kelly cuts him off completely; leaving him scrambling for the love they once shared.
The couples share a different kind of love, with each being special in its own way. However, will it be enough to pacify the bruised egos, lonely nights, and broken hurts?
I loved this book. I cant believe that ending. Bella, Bella, Bella you just couldn't wait. Wow! I'm ready for part 2. Poor Rahmeek, I love him! #Bella&Rahmeek pls forgive her!
This story was just okay to me. It was really hard to get into the story with the many editing issues on just about every page. Due to the many grammatical errors I would not be willing to recommend this book to others or continue on with the series.
I picked this up because I enjoyed a few David Weaver books so I said what the heck. After reading it I was surprised with all the errors and foolishness in the editing though. With all that aside it was an okay read even with it being a bit long winded. It’s one thing to read the day by day but the every little detail was a bit distracting. Yes, Kelly went to the bathroom. I don’t really care that she sat on the toilet, played with her toe nails, wiped, flushe...you get the point. The mess with Bella I knew would come to a head because she seemed to be a fall for any old attention type character. Kind of sad but for the story it worked out. The ending has me actually not wanting to read the next one because if Rahmeek reacted the way he did when she didn’t show up I’m guessing he’s going to take her through it all now. Of course I’m lying though, I have a big problem with reading books in a series and not following thru so I guess I’ll catch some other reads then get back with this one.
20star banger I love it the storyline was bananas the characters just grow to love them this story was entertaining exotic and intoxicating the theme was fresh and different yet wholesome and refreshing I just couldn't get enough hope part 2 get here soon I didn't like the ending that was so messed up Damn why do Bella like that but to get caught like that wasn't feeling it can't wait for mo
This book was EVERYTHING!! Bella... Bella... Dang girll... Why didnt u wait!!?? Ugghh soo mad at tht ending!! Cant wait for book 2!! Heard it may b out end of month!
Well I have to say I've yet to be disappointed in a story that has been written by this author. This was such a story that you are immediately captured at very beginning, when you realize that the hero is in a situation. When we first get our look at Rahmeek ,you know you are in the company of a boss!Throughout this story you will get glimpses of how a man handles business and handles himself.I love that the writer gives you a character that you can like or one that maybe you know. Now on to this weak woman Bella! Really chick you that hard up that you pull a shank move, come on I expected more, considering they way this character com's off in the book. Its rare that you read a story and off the rip you dislike the leading lady.I am going to hold on hopefully she can come back from this(I wouldn't take her back). This was good solid entertainment and so very worthy of your reading time.I just have one small issue and that was some of the typos, there were some pretty common ones that should have not been made, and ones that almost messed the scene up.I would suggest a second or third set of eyes.
That ending though....oooooh I wanted to jump through the pages and slap Bella upside her head. Can't wait to see whay happens next she know she just leading Carter on I don't know why she just doesn't learn to deal with her new found circumstances. Now she oh so lonely that she needs Carter when Rahmeek isn't available. Be real girl he is in jail which you knew from the beginning. She is just being real disrespectful. Roc had to learn his lesson the hardway looks like she is headed down that same path. Instead of taking heed to his messy situation she just continued making a messier one for herself. A crying shame this girl here gone find herself in some deep ish. She betta quit it.
I didn’t really understand the relationships between the characters. The author spent little to no time developing the characters. Especially the boyfriend’s sister that was living in the group home. It really didn’t fit in with the story. And speaking of which, what is the plot in this story? What is it really about? All they do is run back and forth to the prison and get envelopes of cash. And how are you saying “I love you” to a man, an inmate no less, that you don’t really know just because y’all had phone sex? I couldn’t go any further.
Mercy B. Good read. This story is going to be one to remember. Bella didn't have the best life but her heart was full of love, she gave her life to help and she wasn't disappointed at all. Watching Bella go through different situations and finding love was a surprise. Rameek, was the man. He wanted what he wanted and his heart was good as gold. Watching this new love grow will be a ride to see. Will Rameek be able to control himself? Or will he stop this thing with Bella before it really began?🤗🤗🤗
I must say this turned out to be a good book. It started off a little slow but then picked up. Meek is bae all day long. Roc needed that lesson so he want cheat again on Kelly. I'm very disappointed in Bella like how can you cheat on the man who had moved mountains for. I can't wait to see what happens next
That and ending though woo Bella, Bella, Bella woo why couldn't she wait a just lil while longer dang now she might be in trouble I hope things work out between her and Rahmeek I give this book a book a 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ rating Let the drama continue on to book 2
Sorry not my kind of love story. A head of a drug ring nigga in prison and a girl with a big jiggling butt and make-up caked on her face. That's just as far away from my world as you can get. Might as well be in another galaxy. And more importantly not a world that I would like to get to know at all. DNF at 23%, but I should have stopped at 2%, when I already knew it wasn't for me.
I can tell this is gonna be a great series! The scenarios from prison were realistic and easy to picture. The storyline kept me engaged and entertained. Mercy B is the truth with that pen!
Bella girl girl girl whyyyyyyy!!!!!!! I just want to know is their RahMeek out there for every girl? I'm sorry but I would have sent Carter's like dock having ass home. Seeing that would have brought me back to reality thinking about RahMeek!
Good Read💯💯.. a few typos but I really enjoyed this love this. Can't wait to see what happens next hope Meek doesn't go back to jail?? Love his character nothing like a Boss .. Making shit happen been bars😉😉..Bella on the other hand has just fucked up😱😱😱..
I know I’m late to the party.. but OMG Rahmeek(swoons)! That n***a is a Boss. I love the way he handles Bella. Now she done messed up for something not even worthwhile. Roc and Kelly made me so happy. I was glad he learned his lesson and got his happily ever after.
Apart from the grammatical errors here and there. I loved this story, this book makes me want to read more urban romance novels. I want to see what's next for Bella and Rahmeek cause that cliffhanger had me shocked!
Roc made a bad choice and almost cost him his love, Kelley. Bella made a really bad choice, especially after she realized it was a mistake, small d and all. Will Meek forgive her?
I love Black authors. The storyline kept me interested, and I will definitely read the next book. That being said, the editing and proofreading left a lot to be desired.
The book got 1 star from me because it is a part of a series but the rest can’t be found anywhere. I hate that when you’re roped in like that but can’t read the rest of the books in the series. So 1 ⭐️
This was a good book with the exception of few errors. The storyline was somewhat different but a good read. Looking forward to reading the next part in this series.
Bella done got herself in a world of trouble she knew doggone well not to be messing with Carter so let's see what happens cause meek done walked in on bs
Rahmeek and Bella: A Philly Love Story is the first book that I have read by author Mercy B. I chose to read this particular book based on a recommendation, which made me have high expectations. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed after reading this. I will give the author credit for releasing the book for that does take effort and courage that many would not take. However, to say that other books were released before this one would also give the impression that the book would be of some quality that I found lacking.
My first issue was the storyline. The way this book was written was as though I was "being told" the story and not to feel the story or connect with the characters. For me as a reader, this is a necessity to have with the books I read. If I do not feel a connection to the story or characters, then my interest is gone. It also dragged on in parts that were unnecessary and became boring. Once my interest is gone, I will finish the book but not the series if it is one. I just think that book one has to capture the audience to keep them coming back and once you don’t do that there is no reason to read any further.
My second issue was editing/grammar errors. Errors can make or break a book for me. I understand that no book is perfect. However, the issues within this book were more than just minor issues, they included things that should have been corrected before even being released. I wonder if an editor was used or even if someone proofread it before it was released. If an editor or proofreader was used then, the author might need to reconsider who they used. If they did not use either one, they might want to start. I think that if there was more attention to the issues things such as calling characters the wrong names would have been caught and corrected. The editing/grammar errors became a distraction and contributed to my loss of interest as well.
Based on these reasons I will more than likely not finish the series. Personally, I am not interested in knowing what happens or the ending. The above issues ruined any interest to continue. However, I will still try to read another one of this author’s books to give her a fair chance. It may just be that this was not her best work. The rating I would give this a 3.
