Rate this book
There is no difference between a university professor and a custodial worker. Not one iota. Only their professions differ.Ted and Jimmy have just completed their studies at the Georgetown University School of Law. They are about to leave the dorm room they have shared and head for home, but they argue. Jimmy claims that in a few short years he will be a U.S. senator. His father is a well-known lawyer and he will get his son elected. Ted says there’s no way; Jimmy’s not the senator type!

Professor Carter, happens to be passing by. They ask him if there is such a thing as a "senator type," and if he thinks Jimmy will be able to fulfill his ambition. Carter’s response comes as a highly unusual to join him on a tour around the world, with two weeks at different locations to help further his research. They will learn why George is a bus driver who spends every day making roundtrips between Washington and Baltimore, and why Edward is the British ambassador to Egypt. They are also going to get an answer to the question they posed to begin with.

˃˃˃ Inspirational novelThis inspirational novel artfully hammers the notion that there is no real difference between a university professor and a custodial worker; only their professions differ. This seemingly obvious truth has been presented clearly and convincingly in Lerman's fascinating tale, which captures the reader's mind and imagination from start to the surprising end.

Hillel Lerman - There Are No Fools: Book Review – Everyone is Unique

There Are No Fools: Why We End Up Just Where We Would by Hillel Lerman revolves around the difference in opinion among three persons – Ted and Jimmy, who are just completing their Law studies at the Georgetown University School of Law. It is about what we are capable to become with the help of resources around and what we actually become because of our own self. There is a small argument between Ted and Jimmy at the moment they are about to leave for their respective homes after completing their studies, that becomes the foundation of this story. The whole concept throughout revolves around this argument.

Hillel Lerman has presented There are no fools in a fantastic manner.

There Are No Fools: Why We End Up Just Where We Would by Hillel Lerman is a motivational story that can be kept in the library in self-help section. The story is quite interesting. While Jimmy claims that he would become a U.S. senator within few years because of the reach and potential of his father being a reputed lawyer who would use all his influence to get his son elected. While Jimmy is so confident about his rosy future, Ted challenges him what he is dreaming of would never be a reality because Jimmy is not the senator type. At the same time, while this argument was taking place, Professor Carter was passing by who is stopped by the two young chaps asking if there is really such a thing as a “senator type” and his opinion on Jimmy's dream and ambition. Carter gives entirely an out-of-box reply that is beyond expectation of the two boys.

Hillel Lerman created a fantastic motivational story in There Are No Fools.

I loved the way the story has been presented and the way the things have been put beyond such a thing as “senator type”. Overall it is a book to read to get a good amount of motivation irrespective of whatever trade or job you are in. I would rate There Are No Fools: Why We End Up Just Where We Would by Hillel Lerman 4 on a scale of 5.

I found this book interesting, but a bit confusing. I found the ending to be a bit abrupt and unsatisfying. I liked the writing style, so I would like to read more of this author's writing.

Inspiring! This story felt like a fable or parable and I liked it as a whole though parts felt disjointed and confusing and the typos were hard to get past.

I loved being inspired and this book inspired me! You are just like everyone else, the only thing that is different are what jobs you chose in life. This book showed me that no one is born to be anything. We make ourselves into what we want to be. Just because someone doesn't appear as something, doesn't mean they can't be that something!

Follow Ted and Jimmy around the world as they find this out. Not only is their journey an inspiration, but so are the people they meet along the way. What starts as a disagreement on whether someone could be something, turned into an eye opening experience for the two!

I received this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion/review/feedback.

Fantastic book that everyone should read!!

This was a great thought provoking book! It really got you to think about the world and people. I have always thought that just because people are rich or famous it doesn't make them any better than someone who is consider poor. They shouldn't be treated better. I'm glad that this book shared the same opinion along with a lot of great other thoughts as well. It's a great read that everyone should take the time to read. It might make you look at people a little differently after reading it!

Only a sermon disguised as a novel

After reading the positive reviews before getting this book I was looking forward to reading it. However, even halfway through the first chapter it became a chore to get through. It is so poorly written that I wondered if previous reviewers had actually read it. Putting that aside and focusing on the quality of the story, and all I can come up with is that it's a sermon disguised as a fictional novel. Save your money and pick up any one of Wayne Dyer books that run along the same theme, are better written, less contrived and condescending.

A thought provoking tale of how we end up where we do in life - roles, responsibilities, relationships, etc . The characters are diverse and interesting however the build up to a lackluster ending took the wind out of the sails so to speak. I'm not sure what the author was trying to convey in the end but I do appreciate the creative way he got me to think about our choices versus our "destinies" versus our dreams. Just the act of thinking and considering I believe is the author's goal. Goal accomplished.

Anticlimatic

The plot seems to lead the reader towards a huge crescendo; however, by the end what has compelled the reader to push through to the end evaporates. The steam of curiosity throughout
the novel dissipates to a tiny vapor.

Was I a fool to have read this book? Only you can decide!

Yes, it is up to you to determine who is wearing the fool's hat, as opposed to who is actually the fool!
