Planned by Hanban, these series of textbooks are written especially for foreign students with an elementary level of Chinese. The totally 50 lessons are divided into two volumes. There are 11 parts in each lesson: "Sentences", "Vocabulary", "Text", "Notes", "Pattern Drills", "Strike While Iron Is Hot", "Vocabulary Extension", "Listening and Speaking", "Characters", "Reading & Writing", and "Pronunciation". Electronic courseware is attached with Teacher's Book.本套教材为汉办规划教材，是专门为初学汉语的外国人编写的长期教材。全书共50课，分上下两册，每册25课，其中每册书最后一课为小测验。教材内容以功能为主，兼顾结构，是功能与结构相结合。每课由句子、词语、课文、注释、句型操练、趁热打铁、词语扩展、听说活动、汉字、读写练习、语音练习构成。教师用书附有电子教案。
