By day, Clementine Walsh is Bellweather’s bookseller. By night, she’s SageAdvice, an anonymous Etsy witch. She’s gotten good at keeping that side of herself small, because small feels safe.
Everett Cooper moved to Bellweather for a fresh start, a quiet one with space to focus on his illustrations, and nothing to distract him. Yet he’s barely unpacked and he’s already rubbing his new neighbor the wrong way.
Despite their rocky start, a truce is called, and the chemistry between them becomes something neither can deny. When the sparks continue to fly, Everett needs advice and turns to the most unlikely an Etsy witch.
He has no idea she’s the girl next door.
With the annual Halloween Trunk or Treat right around the corner, the truth is coming for both of them. Some secrets are better kept, but this one might be exactly what they need.
You’ve Got Spells is a fun Halloween neighbors to lovers romance inspired by the movie, You’ve Got Mail.

My favorite Jenny Cross book thus far!! So so sweet. The overall message is about not being afraid to show who you really are. It’s a quick read for the season, and I can’t wait to read it again next fall.
The main thing I loved about this book was that both the MC's were so communicative. There were no misunderstandings, no third act breakup, no useless fights. All of this made the book so much more heartwarming to read! Everett was just a green flag all around. Him having to raise his sister from a young age probably made him realize exactly how to be a complete gentleman and I loved how open he was with Clementine. That man never judged her for anything and was always reassuring her, and that just added him to my list of favourite book boyfriends of all time. Clementine was also such a perfectly written character! Her fears of being thought of as too much were so realistic, and when she finally got around to accepting herself, I actually cried because I felt so happy for her.
Overall this book is the absolute perfect cozy romance and is definitely worth the read!!
This was down right adorable! An Etsy witch and a illustrator become neighbors with You've Got Mail vibes!! I loved this one so much and was such perfect cute cozy read!
Everett is the biggest green flag of a man and was so freaking cute with his glasses and love of Gilmore Girls! YES!! This man can quote Gilmore Girls! And Clementine was such a vibe and I loved her. She was always made fun of for her belief in magic so she always tried to hide that part of herself from the world. Everett loved every side of her and I loved how in the end he embraced the magic! Their playful banter was so adorably sweet and I loved how real their relationship felt. I loved all the pen pal email moments and how their true identities unfolded. This was fun and entertaining and such a perfect read for the Halloween season!

After this book I’m on a reading high. It’s just perfect every little bit. The relationships in this book is everything and more. Each character is written so well and the dynamics between everyone is perfect. The sibling dynamic between Everett and his sister Heather is the absolute best ever. I love how dramatic she is and how he interacts with her. He helped raise her and he’s gentle with her but you can still tell he’s a brother. And their interactions just has me laughing and loving. Clementine and Marianne have a sweet grandmother granddaughter vibe but she not like a regular grandmother she’s a cool one. She the hop old lady who can dish out sass and love. And the two main characters, clementine and Everett, are even better together than apart. They have a banter, sarcasm (which is my favorite love language) and they converse through out the entire book making me giddy and laugh and fully routing for them.
What a cute rom-com! I giggled and swooned so much❤️❤️❤️
I loved the whole "You’ve Got Mail" vibes...one of my favorite movies.
There are just so many scenes that had me gleeful....the "Great Honeysuckle Showdown"...the first text between the 2 of them...Binx and his meddling 😂...I had the best time reading this story and I did not want it to end.
Everett is so swoony...like what a dream man 😍 The banter between him and Clementine was so cute and I just loved every second of them getting to know each other. And omgggg he was just so in tune with her and so perceptive...swoon💞
And I loved Clementine and empathized with her about being cautious with Everett at first. We all have those tender spots that we want to protect before allowing someone else the privilege of seeing every single facet of ourselves. ❤️
Jenny Cross! I am so glad I stumbled upon this book...I need more of your writing⭐️⭐️⭐️ this was such a good time!🙌👏
If you need a cute book, with the best cozy vibes boy do I have the book for you! Thank you so much Jenny for the gifted copy. This book was so beautiful and I had so much fun 🩷
Never before have I thought I might need to use an etsy witch but I'm thinking now maybe I do! Clementine and Everett are so much fun.
I don't know how Jenny does it, developing the characters so thoroughly in such a short space of time. These characters are deep and emotional and beautiful and complex in less than 300 pages and wow. Totally worth it.
Though the romance should seem quick, it does not and it just fits both main characters so perfectly. The spice is beautifully delicious and magical and everything you need in this story.
The writing is so well done, as it always is for Jenny and I did not want to put the book down. Please do yourself a favour and pick this one up 🤍
Thank you BookFunnel and Jenny Cross, Author , for the preview in exchange of a bookseller's honest review.
5 Stars! This is one of the most beautiful books I’ve read in a long time! Two people starting over, focusing on being themselves along with the baggage they carry. It has all the elements of a romance but it’s so much more. Lessons of being who you are and learning to be proud of your heart, talents, and gifts. Combining this with adulting and its twists and turns but allowing others to help and comfort your soul. I will recommend this to everyone I know - because it helps show that no matter who you are, where you come from- you deserve love.

✨ If You’ve Got Mail vibes and a cozy witchy romance had a book baby, it would be You’ve Got Spells! 📚🖤
I absolutely loved this one! Clementine, an Etsy witch and Everett, a book illustrator hiding behind a pen name? That nostalgic feeling of falling for someone in an unexpected way…. then watching everything unfold as Clementine and Everett discovered who they really were beneath the surface and learned to embrace and accept each other’s true selves. Give me ALL of it! ✨
My friend wrote the cutest Halloween romance and it is adorable. I loved Clementine and Everett. I just ate them up. I thought they were so fun and I enjoyed watching them fall for each other. Everett was just the sweetest and I loved how he let Clementine bejeweled. And Clem was just a doll. The town is so cozy and fun. I ate this one up. The perfect witchy read for this time of year.

What to Expect: Small Town Magic & Witches Neighbors Slow Burn
Jenny is bringing the holiday spirit with this witchy novella. I loved Clementine and Everett together. They were both unlucky in love, but find so much more with each other. Everett is green flag city. Clementine is unapologetically learning to love herself. After a plant mishap, they find common ground with each other and I loved seeing their dates as they slowly built towards happiness together.
Jenny continues to deliver on slow burn time and time again, and this novella is no different.
What a cute romance! This is my first book by Jenny Cross, but it won't be my last. I really enjoyed this story, and it was perfect for fall. I loved the message that you don't have to hide who you are and that the people who love you will accept you just as you are. I also really liked that the characters actually talked things through. The connection between the two main characters was great, and I just really enjoyed their story!
LOVED LOVED LOVED You've Got Spells! This book had me laughing throughout the whole book! I loved the chemistry between Clementine and Everett! I didn't want this book to end with how much i was enjoying it, this is definitely on my top 5 favorite books now! 5/5 Stars DEFINITELY recommend 💜💜✨️
