Three years ago, Nadine Alesini divorced her husband and left Buenos Aires with her daughter in tow. Now she’s back and forced to spend time with the man she left behind. Cortez Alesini long ago accepted that his music career aided in the demise of his marriage. So he didn’t expect that he and Nadine would spend passionate nights together while she’s back in his country, causing them to question if they gave up too soon. But the reappearance of someone from his past immediately causes friction, and may destroy any chance they have at a true reconciliation.

This wasn't a bad read, I just didn't feel it. I have read this story line many times, which is ok, but I look for something that is a little different than the others.... something memorable. Couldn't find it in this one.
It was okay-ish, nothing exciting, but that’s based on my personal preferences. Short story but felt complete with a believable HEA. I didn’t feel any strong emotions for the characters. Just another marriage-in-trouble story to add to the collection. No cheating. A tiny bit of OW drama that was angsty for about a minute.
***Details & Spoiler*** Separation/Divorced: 3 yrs Married for 11 Ages: He’s 43; she’s 40 They’re daughter is 12 HEA: they conceive again
⚠️Trigger Warning⚠️ Marriage fell apart after their baby was stillborn. They didn’t communicate well afterwards.
Audiobook reads are kinda tough for me. [clearly I'm not much of an auditory learner...]
Natalie and Cortez were married but got divorced.... Not sure if this is really so much a spoiler but ...
I was pretty annoyed she was so close minded to think Cortez was never grieving or affected. Like ... supposedly you know and love this man and you think he just didn't GAF? ... Really?
Also when their daughter is injured in the car accident - like on the one hand yeah putting her in a car with kids/teens not the best; on the other hand literally a freak accident and it wasn't Cortez's fault ... so...
The "twist" of the ex/not ex/the hookup - WHEW. That was rough - yet real/especially when they'd split and he was doing as he was doing.
I liked the secondary characters - didn't love Natalie ...
Cortez seemed kinda like the most chill DD hero? :X
It's fast.
Not much memorable about it though :X
Not rating it because there was nothing so standout. [Although kinda thinking C-D range...]
Sweet, sassy and sexy! I loved this story when I read it this past summer and it's better the second time around. Cortez and Nadine are divorced. She moved back to Atlanta, Georgia while he remained in Argentina. Yet they still love each other. Cortez and Nadine need to forgive and forget and restore their marriage. But a jealous, ex-lover is using a possible love-child as a way to keep Cortez and Nadine apart. Will their stubbornness allow this vindictive woman to destroy their love?
🚩 marriage in trouble 🚩 H gets OW pregnant during separation (in a drunken fling on their anniversary) 🚩 unclear if h was celibate. I might read it if she wasn’t 🚩 H slept with the chick the h had always known wanted her man
Hot marriage reconciliation with a perfectly devoted husband? SIGN ME UP. I am all about good men, so when I get one, I rave about him. This was the perfect length and a quick read.
Oh I really enjoyed reading this story. It was a cute story about a second chance at love. Nadine and Cortez got divorced due to their inability to communicate their feelings of grief after the loss of their child. Nadine felt she was grieving alone and Cortez felt he couldn’t express his grief because he wanted to be strong for her. It was obvious that this couple still loved each other. A trip back to Argentina for a family wedding allows them to openly communicate about their loss and accept the fact that they handled it all wrong. I loved the buildup to their reconciliation and the fact that it was told from both of their POVs. We got to see how they handled the loss and the time away from each other. There was some drama but nothing major. It was a very enjoyable read.
This author is talented and adept to give each second chance book a novel and unique storyline. I love the theme because i can see the embers of love rebuild into an inferno of passion and strong love. As the series, "Hot Latin Men" #1, #2, and my favorite #4 "Second Chances" .
This narrative addresses the stillborn son and the terrible effects that it had on the marriage. The phases needed to heal were skipped because of the pain. When the phases faced, healing for both "Cortez and Nadine" characters love was restored.
I enjoyed this book so much! The characters were everything. It was sad how they gotten a divorce and could have worked everything out before getting one. I'm glad they got it together though. It took 3 years for it to happen. Great job to the author. She never disappoints.
Did not find much substance to this story. Very boring and I was not in the least invested in this couple. I don't think more than one chapter was needed to tell this entire story. Read More than a mistress by this author. That one was in fire.
When the story began I hoped the love rekindling would not take until the end of the story😣. It took longer than I hoped, but it happened in a lovely way.. Fabiana needed a butt whipping. She got off too easily. A good good IR story.
Short and sweet. Great chemistry between Cortez and Nadine. Well written. Engaging and full of the terse excitement this author is known for. Loved it.
I'm a sucker for second chance at love stories and Still in Love is a gem of a story. Nadine and Cortez Alesini have been divorced for a while. Both have led empty lives apart, filling the void with work and their love for their daughter. Now Nadine is back in Buenos Aires, Argentina--where their love affair began and where they made a life together as Cortez built his music career, and it's obvious there's still chemistry and unfinished business between them. Can they keep their distance or will their past and their passion draw them closer?
Delaney Diamond has written a sexy story with a great premise--what happens when to love when fame and tragedy cloud everything? Can that love be resurrected or is it better to be left in the past. I loved following Nadine and Cortez's story. Diamond does a great job of capturing the Argentinian vibe, With the story leading up to Cortez's youngest sister's wedding, Cortez and Nadine are constantly thrown together. And with each meeting, it's obvious that their love is still strong. I loved the journey Nadine and Cortez take as they try to find their way back to loving and trusting one another. I only have two quibbles: I wish the story were longer and I wish there'd been more descriptions of Buenos Aires to steep me further into the setting. Sometimes I missed the colors and scents of the city and I think it would have added even more to the story.
Still in Love is the perfect sexy read for this autumn. I hope we get to see more of Nadine and Cortez in the future!
Loss, forgiveness, heartbreak, and love are the elements of Still in Love. What makes a couple separate even when there is so much passion. Loss. It's hard to cope with a loss especially when you feel as though you are alone. The lack of communication between Cortez and Nadia help the gap to grow. But as faith would have it, Nadia returning to their family home, had them both having to face the reality of Still being in Love.
Still in Love is a very good interracial second chance romance that earned a four star rating. The couple chose to divorce after a nine year marriage even though they still loved each other and had unfinished business. When they meet again they were forced to work on their issues. I enjoyed reading this book and I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read a good romantic book.
What a sweet story this was! I'm kinda glad I didn't find out about the weekly series until now. I don't think I would have lasted week after week--I'm way too impatient. And as always with writers I love, I wish it were longer! But it was still long enough to get attached to the characters and go on a fun, sexy ride.
Thank you, Delany, for giving us another installment with a latin man. I'm a big fan.
This was a chapter read on Delaney's webpage but I was happy to see it come out as a book. I love this story. I love how Cortez and Nadine after three years still had unresolved feelings for each other. The love was still there. Now living under the same roof again the feelings and attraction all come back in full force. The past sometimes brings you back together. Can they work through the pain. Read it and find out.
I love this author. Her love for her fans is second to her written work. Each summer, she has a story that she shares with her fans a chapter or two at a time each Friday. This was one of those stories.
This was a good read. And a great way to end a Summer work week. I hope to read more about these characters in future work.
I didn't read this serial when it was published each Friday because I'm too impatient to wait between weeks. I am so glad I didn't! This novella was fabulous. Cortez and Nadine were a couple that were lost in their own tragedy. Just as with many couples talking and communication saved the day. Love this author.
