A School of Dolls

Rate this book
After being the victims of a hate crime at their high school in rural North Carolina, cousins Joe and Luke Pell move to Baltimore to live with their drunk but loving aunt, Stacy. Almost losing them to death, Stacy fears for her nephews lives, believing society is not as easy on gays as perceived.

Due to their highly feminine mannerisms, Stacy suggests that her nephews transition into Joanne and Lolita in secret. With their delicate faces and petite bodies, the teenagers are as beautiful as dolls.

But when Joe gets a boyfriend who is unaware that he is male, their house of lies comes crashing down in the vilest way.

Very quick read! Didn't like Rico-he blamed Jo for ruining his life, when he was the one pursing her-and she kept telling him she wasn't interested in the beginning. He was the one saying he wouldn't take no for an answer & he gets mad when the truth comes out!!! He was annoying. The events were tragic-but ultimately people are responsible for their own behavior, not the behavior of those around them.

Stop Bullying!!!!

This book is very time appropriate, because it deals with numerous issues that are in the headlines today. Bullying is one of the top reasons why teens that are different from others, commit suicide. This quick read packed a powerful punch!

Life of a Doll

Omg this book was amazing! This book brought out so many different emotions while I was reading. Drama literally from page one all the way til the very last page. The Cartel Publications never disappoint with their books and I can't wait for the next one from their camp and this author!

School of dolls

I felt bad for what they had to go through all because of their sexuality. Lolita was bad but much and was rebellious I liked Joanne she was more of the careful side. They run from trouble and found their self back in trouble .this was a quick pace read it seems like there could be another part

An okay read

I enjoyed the book. Needed a little more editing, but the errors were not too bad. I do wish the story would have been a little more developed. There was a story behind every character.

This book was just okay to me. The storyline was interesting but I was expecting a little more drama from a Cartel publications book. I can't say that this was my favorite book or if I would for sure recommend this book to others.

Important Message: This book talks about what gay's really have to go through when they come out it's just sad that this is really today's society, you can't judge people because of there preference in the opposite sex you never know one's story or struggle!!!

Loved it. This is a perfect example of not judging a person based upon looks. I recommend people read this.
