The battle with the Feyk is ended but the scars left behind have changed the Howard Witches, and The Demon Isle, forever.
Michael struggles to console his girlfriend, Emily Morgan, a spirit vessel in denial who refuses to accept and mourn the loss of her father and is also vulnerable to body invasion after the Feyk, Sir Tinkham Sickereaux, stole her protection ring; the only thing blocking spirits from taking over her body.
Charlie, as usual, is holding the family together to his own detriment while undertaking the most difficult personal mission of his entire life: romancing Lizzy Deane. Something the werewolf has never done before, his previous relationships convenient and one-minded: fun, with no long term attachments.
Mysterious and nosy reporter Courtney Jessup reappears, stirring up more trouble. But all the Howard’s want: a break. A moment to catch their breath. Instead, they are scurrying to protect everyone on the Isle from the sudden appearance of a bloodthirsty serial vampire killer.
Melinda is having nightmares of the non-prophetic kind, the worst being when vampire, and love of her life, William Wakefield, tells her he is leaving. And when he disappears from The Demon Isle she believes this true. Until a disastrous line of events unfold that put the vampire as suspect number one in the case of the serial killer, who has murdered at least three people so far.
Which means only one outcome for the vampire responsible.

I didn't see this coming. Not really any of it. I found myself emotionally drained and in tears for several parts of this book. It's like the climax couldn't come fast enough. I kept waiting and waiting, and the wait felt endless. This was a difficult pill to swallow. What now?
I have read all of the books for this series, its a refreshing to read and actually very funny. I want to see the outcome of the melinda love triangle...well charlie and lizzy too. The characters are great, mack and grace are awesome love them too. I don't want to give much away. I will say this the growth of melinda in the series is starting to grow on me. She was sheltered, scared and now she is starting to become stronger through out the books, I like characters like that to see them grow and change for better or worse, I think William is the best for her. I hope Melinda becomes the "kick-ass witch" she wants to be. Now just waiting on book nine to see what happened between william and riley?!
Another great book in the Wicked Good Witches series! Just like the rest of the books, the ending has you on the edge of your seat and leaves you wanting more!! Can't wait for the next book! On a different note, I just day that I found many many errors through this series but this book seemed to be the worst. Errors include spelling, omitted words, repeated words, and just using the wrong word in general (such as would instead of wouldn't, could instead of couldn't , and can instead of can't). I hope the next book doesn't have this issue.
This series just gets better and better. I just love the Howard kids and I'm hoping that their struggles just get better and clearer. I can't get enough of William and I was devastated with his departure. I highly recommend this series and also beg you to have all the book all ready to read because once you start w first you won't be able to stop, like I have. I can't put this kindle down. I love the Deanes too. That Lizzy is nuts but lovable nonetheless. Wow love it now on to book nine that's waiting for me to open it. Lol enjoy
the story line continues more or less where the last book finished...
how have they all continued with their lives forever changed, and being the magical isles there are other problems that need sorting out and as they all pick up the pieces of what is left of their lives dead bodies keep appearing and there is only one cause for it...vampire...
what can this mean for everyone on this isles...and will they have to kill their life long friend
I Ioved the story, but the editing was awful! This had more issues than any book I've ever read... I understand trying to get it out there but please do your readers the service of reading it... Anyone who read this prior to publication had to be aware of the issues. The series is exciting, love the twist and turns but you will lose readers with dreadful editing!
Nice continuation of the story. It was interesting kept my interest but left me in wondering about the cliffhangers too many to count. Overall a good read would recommend
A few twist and turns. More believable than the other books. I liked that they are bringing William back. William adds a lot to the story and I feel he is needed back in the story line.
This book was great! Better than than the most fantastic roller coaster! Love the way the characters grow, the relationships made and lost. Kizzy cliffhanger love it!
This series has me entangled and keeps me up,night as I read "just one more chapter"! Nice cliff hangers to entice me into the next book in the series.
This one is about Riley and his self banishment. He's heart broken for what he did to lizzie and he's left the island. What he gets into is so fascinating you will be glued to this book.Plus a surprise at the end.
