I know i read this,i know i left my review back then,but i don’t know where it went…..
And i only found out after finding a couple of reviews by my friends.
I read all three books in the series,and i loved them all,including this one!
This is Aedan and Natalya’s story,and Laylah gave them a well deserved second chance after they’ve been separated for years.
She left because her brother said her nana was dying,and didn’t return.
Her reasons were plausible,but all Aedan could see was that she’d left him,and had broken his heart.
Now she’s back,and she needs him,and his brother,to find her son Mateo.
Actually,she needs his brother’s mafia connections,the ones she said she hated back then,but they’re the ones that are her only hope now…..
Aedan may have been determined to keep her at arms lenght,because of his hurt feelings,but fails miserably.
In the meantime,the search for her little boy is on,and they know they’ll have to involve his father.
The man she’d been living with after leaving Aedan.
But there’s a story to that situation…..one that makes Aedan look at things differently.
Will they be able to find Mateo in time?
Can they find out who took him,and why?
And is there any chance for Natalya and Aedan to have their hea after all?
To start building a family with that sweet boy?

This is a reread for me. I don’t know why it’s not already marked from years back. I must notve been keeping up with the books I read then as vigilantly as I do these days.
It’s a good read. You can definitely tell this was early days in her writing but I still enjoyed it both times.
Second chance romances are never my favorite, but this kind is tolerable for me. The reunion isn’t super drawn out, and I think that’s a big part of the reason I end up disliking the trope a lot of times.

I just finished reading Rectify, the first book in Laylah Roberts' Cavan Gang series. Normally, I find it hard to enjoy second-chance romances, especially if they become long and repetitive. However, in this case, Ms. Roberts quickly revealed the pure emotions of these characters in a way that resonated with me as a reader.
Aedan and Natalya were in love, and he was waiting for the perfect moment to propose. But when Natalya received a phone call from her brother saying that their grandmother didn't have much time left and wanted to see her, she immediately made arrangements to go to Mexico. Aedan's intuition told him not to let her go, fearing she wouldn't return. Natalya reassured him that she would be back as soon as she could. However, weeks passed, and their phone calls and texts dwindled until Aedan received a voicemail from Natalya stating that she was breaking things off with him, without any explanation.
Fast forward three years later—Natalya is back in the United States and desperately trying to reach Aedan. Her child has been kidnapped, and she needs his help.
While the story contains intense situations, I wouldn’t describe it as a dark romance. The chemistry between Aedan and Natalya was heat-inducing. The side characters played their parts to perfection, which only helped the story evolve further. Would I recommend it? Absolutely.

Romantic thriller
No plot spoilers
No real potential triggers although there is reference to kidnap of a child.
There are some grammatical and editorial errors that irritated but didn't kill the book, this is a known factor in the authors books and having read quite a few of them I'm ready to believe the author is either uncaring of the errors, which would indicate a disposition towards earning money with the prolific output and a belief that readers are too stupid to notice. Alternatively, the author has a very poor editing and proof reading team.
My concern is that multiple books in the errors still occur, and I do feel slightly insulted that an otherwise competent author can't be bothered ensuring the errors are removed.
The characterisation is good, with distinct and relatable personalities, the plotline is a bit convoluted, especially Diego, but at the end of the day it's a little escape from reality for a few hours.
There are some sex scenes of a light BDSM nature and some swearing.
If you are a fan of the genre and have not read anything by the author I would recommend the book, if you get wigged out by errors don't buy the book.

Não estou habituada a livros mornos dessa autora
Uma namorada que abandona o parceiro e ologo depois se casa com outro homem, volta anos depois pedindo ajuda p achar o filho e eles voltam de onde pararam...
Existe a sugestão de que ela se casou com outro p "salvar" o irmão, de verdade ela não admite isso em momento algum, termina sem desvendar o sequestro da criança ou os verdadeiros motivos do casamento dela, ja que o cara não da a minima para ela, pq ele queria se casar em primeiro lugar?
Onde foi parar a porra do irmão que ela salvou?
Não teve nada, nem um pedido de desculpas, q vamos combinar seria o minimo esperado do lado dela.
enfim, um enredo até interessante senão tivesse tantos furos.
E o heroi que tinha escondido que era dominante kkkkkkkkkkk, segue escondido até o fim do livro. realmente muito aquem do esperado para essa autora.
O livro parece mais um projeto... um esqueleto do livro verdadeiro que ela ainda vai lançar. só pode.

Can they find her son and the love they once had? This is an intriguing story with an excellent plot - hot, steamy, sexy and hard to put down.

Loved this story, the raw humour, dirty sexy scenes, entanglements and action. Two people who have been estranged from each other for 3 years, from lovers to strangers, find each other through a very difficult dangerous situation. The question is: will it last this time?

Aedan & Natalya
This was way different than anything given read from Laylah before, but I enjoyed seeing her stories going a totally different direction and feel than I'm used to.
The storyline was darker and grittier than my previous reads from her - but the world building and series set up is what I've come to expect.
I'll be continuing the series.

Aeden's relationship with Natalya starts off sweet but quickly changes to regrets and recriminations as she leaves him with no explanation. 3 years later she is back with a request. Will he be able to put aside his anger at her deception? Will she be able to mend the damage?

Complicated mob romance. I didn't think much of Mateo's father until the end when I realized it was all a sham to keep the boy safe. This story was refreshing, the H was flawed and not shy about admitting it. Laylah Roberts never fails to deliver a fascinating story.

Lovely!!!
Natalya and Aedan have a murky history filled with a passionate love and devastating pain. But the fire of their love is still there and when she needs his help to find her son, they both find even more. Love this!!

Rectify by Laylah Roberts – This series is on kindle unlimited. Laylah Roberts has a way with bad boys! If you like mafia romance, this is one interesting cast of characters! Happy Reading!

Aedan has been lost since Natalya betrayed him. He's surprised when she comes back to ask for his help. He knows that he will do anything and everything to help her.
Natalya did everything she could to protect her family. She knows that things with Aedan will never be the same. She doesn't want to hurt him but he's the only one that can help her.
This story is an emotional rollercoaster of love and understanding. People finding the strength to face their mistakes. Finding love and fighting for your happiness.

What a fantastic start to a new series! We met Aedan in the ' Doms of Decadence ' series and I'm so glad he got his story! His relationship with Natalya is rocky but even through a very dangerous situation they still have a HOT chemistry together. No spoilers here, read the book and enjoy! I can't wait for the next book and Rogan's story, I so hope he finds an HEA!
