A Will of Steel

Rate this book
Christopher was in his second year of his sentence for embezzling funds from his job. Prison life had been tough on him. He was effeminate, and skinny. He was considered a borderline Omega. His best friend had joked with him he was going to paradise when he was found guilty, because he was attracted to men. But the truth was, the brutality of the men he was surrounded by twenty four hours a day had put a sickness in his soul.

But all of that changed when the bus brought in the new fish. He could see instantly there was something different about Axel. Everyone could see it. He was so quiet, yet his eyes said it all. Raw unbridled will, dangerous raw power just spilled out of them. No group could intimidate him. Not even the guards.

Christopher was instantly attracted to him. Despite the fury of raw strength the man emanated, he could sense the man was not cruel, and had a kindness to him. A kindness he found appealing. Almost as appealing as the mans rock hard body.

But how can I ever get close to him. I am spoken for, the property of Steel. No one crosses Steel. No one except the mysterious Axel. As everyone is soon to find out, Axel marches to his own drummer, and no one better stand in his way.

Authors note* This story is the first in the Reign of the Alpha King series. The series itself is of a paranormal nature, although it is not obvious in the first few books in the series.

This was difficult

I can not say that this book or series was bad but I can't say it was good either. I bordered on " get real" . Are we sure this was not a female prison. I mean, who talks like that and only woman go into so much detail when they talk. Axel talks like a hippie Yoda who combined forces with Shakespeare" oh how I love thee ". Although the violence that Chis endures is horrifying yet he continues to beg for it. Go figure...

There is a lot of throbbing going on in this book. Heads, cocks and prostates just to name a few. "Emissions of desire" is a term I had never heard before this book.

Overall just ok. MCs fall madly in love quite quickly. Also, this is just Book 1 though the author states it's a series and a standalone. Rather confusing.

The story line was interesting. I thought it was great that someone (Chris) learned self respect and how to protect himself. The relationship between the prisoners was an added problem for Chris as he was given/sold to others until Axel. Love blooms in the most desperate places and guilds the way

I loved reading this wonderfully written book.

I really loved reading this wonderfully written book. I love the relationship between Axel and Chris. I loved the twists and turns and edge of the seat action in this book. I can't wait to read the second and third book in this series of books. I will recommend this book to everybody I know and to all my friends too.

Why this is rated so high on Amazon is beyond me. This book was weird, strange and bad. At least it was free. The MC's are in jail barley have contact and fall in love? SERIOUSLY

It started ok. Weird, but ok. But soon it just got ridiculous with the added paranormal stuff.
