Alien Bond is a short story sequel to the Alien Attachments series by Sabine Priestley.
After the fall of their empire, the Sandarians struggled for order and peace, hiding their existence from the people of Earth. Until now. Under the guardianship of the Sandarians, it is a new world where fleets of ships circle the globe to protect the vulnerable human race.
Kara Heroshi breaks free from a controlling adoptive mother to begin a new life in London. She is both captivated and fearful of the alien Sandarian ship shining above the skyline of London—a beacon of power and allure.
Torril Anantha struggles to acclimate himself to life on Earth. The frailty of humanity disturbs him. But when one black-haired beauty ensnares his senses as well as his heart, he finally faces the difficult truth—his psi-mate is human.
While Kara is lured by the seductive Sandarian male, can she overcome her fears of being controlled and solidify the bond with Torril—the alien who is fated as her one true mate?
A lifelong lover of books, Sabine grew up on Science Fiction, Fantasy and Romance novels.
As a child she wanted to be an astronaut and travel the stars looking for aliens. As an adult she’s seriously disappointed we’ve yet to establish so much as a moon base (although she gives a hearty nod to the ISS) and is pretty sure Humans aren’t ready to meet ET.
A Spiritual Catalyst, Electrical Engineer and Cultural Anthropologist by training, she's a geek with heart.
She’s lived in more states than she cares to admit and loves to travel. When not in far off lands, you can frequently find her walking the local beaches and plotting her next adventure.

Alien Bond is a very short story that is part of the Alien Attachment series by Sabine Priestley. This story was generously provided to me by the author for an honest review.
It has been fifteen years since the end of book one when the Sandarian Earth Protectors fled Sandaria for earth. One year ago, the Cavacent family made themselves known to the humans of earth.
A Sandarian spends their lifetime hoping that they will find their psi-mate. And once it happens, there is no stopping it. Torril Anantha is such a man (alien.) You are never quite prepared, though, for when it hits you. And that is exactly what happened to Torril the day he was standing in London’s Hyde park.
Kara Heroshi has finally escaped the clutches of her controlling mother. She loves the freedom of living in London. She has vowed to never allow anyone that type of control over her again. As she is sitting on a bench with her friend having lunch on a beautiful day in Hyde Park, it hits her, that overwhelming feeling that cannot be relieved by anyone else than the man with whom the bond has already begun to form. But she doesn’t want this, so she runs. Can she really run, though? Once the bond has begun, can she stop it?
“She’d feared oppression, but instead she found freedom.”
I love this series, seriously love it. This is a very sexy, very short story giving us a front row seat as to how the psi-bond happens. Whew, and it is hot, and it is awesome! Just to be sitting there on the bench and…well, could we be so lucky???
I can’t wait to read book two in this series, Rebellion, and honestly, I look forward to anything else this new up and coming author has to offer.
Buy the book, this one isn't on KU or at my library.
I absolutely love Sabine Priestley's writing style. This one was not my favorite but it was still good. If you haven't read the series, I would recommend reading them in order or you'll never know what the heck is going on. You could even skip this one since I don't think its relevant to the series. But thats just my opinion.
This one was okay and exactly what I expected. Quick story with hot sex! There isn't a lot of substance to the characters and everything moves very quickly. That is what you get when you read a short story. The sex was pretty good once Torril and Kara gave into their psi instinct.
Ms. Priestley has created a fascinating world where aliens are sexier than ever. The idea of the "psi" and the connection one psi has with his/her mate was so alluring. I don't read much sci-fi romance, but this one has me hooked. I'll definitely be reading the rest of this series.
If you're looking for a sweet taste of her psi world, grab this and give it a go.
The best thing about reading a romance short? You get to use the word "quickie" when you write the review. :)
Sabine did a great job with this story--it's fast, fun, and deliciously hot. If you love a good sci-fi romance and need a quickie that's out of this world (or at least has a guy from another world) pick this one up.
Hot & Steamy at its best! This book packs a big punch in a short amount of time. With the (alien) Sandarians having recently announced their presence on Earth, human Kara is not sure what to think of these beautiful creatures. When the unexpected happens and Kara is bonded to alien Torrill, Kara is hesitant to accept it but things quickly heat up between the two. Priestley does an amazing job conveying Kara's uneasiness with being bonded to an alien, while writing scenes that will have you blushing. This short story in the Alien Attachments series will keep you glued to the pages and unable to put down. It is not as tame as the first book in the series. Anxiously awaiting Rebellion - Book 2 in the series to see what the author has in store for the Sandarian Empire. Highly recommend.
Very short and intense. Known from previous books, Anantha is an honorable man/alien. Definitely a lot of power/psi between Berkshire and Samantha. Curious where the series will go from here.
This is a short story that takes place after the series, when earth knows they're not alone. I it was good for what it was. I would have liked for Kara to fight the attraction a little more. Maybe demand answers before jumping into bed.
A quick read, this story gives us the moment when Kara and Torril bond. Well written, but perhaps a bit fast-paced for my liking. I would have liked to learn more about Kara, but perhaps I'll find that elsewhere. :-)
I read this story long after I read the series. It's a prequel, and it did its job - now it can't wait to re-read the books that started with this incredibly, intensely hot encounter that turns into a lifetime love.
Alien Bond is a short story in the Alien Attachment series. It's full of hot sensual goodness. This is the story of Torril Anantha finding his mate. Theirs is a very steamy bonding, that holds the promise of a deeper story somewhere. I hope these characters talk to Sabine more, & we get the chance to learn more about them eventually.
This book was a short story, short and sweet. I swear a good portion of it was about sex. Either way, it was fantastic. Really it was great :-) It was a very easy read actually, so that was awesome. Shortest review Ever? I think yes but maybe it was because it is a short story
Nice, easy read. I loved the heroine Kara and how she fights her attraction to the hot alien hero. I highly recommend this book for those that like some heat in their romance!
