This kick-off to the 12-part ''Bruce Wayne: Murderer?'' storyline is a one-shot you can't afford to miss! When Batman responds to a series of crimes, little does he know that a crime is also occurring in the one place in the world he considers safe--his home!
Greg Rucka, is an American comic book writer and novelist, known for his work on such comics as Action Comics, Batwoman: Detective Comics, and the miniseries Superman: World of New Krypton for DC Comics, and for novels such as his Queen & Country series.
A few pages of rehash for those who never heard of Batman is followed by some basic crime-fighting action. The tale is told by a temporary sidekick Sasha, who I think is the most interesting character in the book. Although Batman puts baddies in jail, he apparently is as cold as ice with any girl who shows a like for him in addition to having no great regard for anyone else in his personal life. Instead, he wallows in self-guilt from his past and current job. Nevertheless Batman presses on because...we all need to feel important? I don't know. The message here becomes garbled, much like the ending of the issue. Artwork is minimal but given the story, understandable.
Good color artwork. You could get a lot of comic book for a dime in the good old days. The new robin is cute. The start of a murder mystery, possibly a frame up?
eh. I'm not wowed. I'm not totally turned off, but I'm not wowed. I get that this is just a quickie, short, taste, sample, ect., but the bodyguard secretly in love with her client is a bit of a cliche. And this wasn't Kevin Costner and Whitney Houston, so I wasn't terribly impressed. Anyways, why should every woman fall in love with the Batman/Bruce Wayne? Hot mess express. Could we have a badass female character who isn't daughter/ward but also isn't love interest/unrequieted crushing?

I gotta say that this comic book is probably the best comic book I’ve read so far in my life. But at the same time I gotta admit that I haven’t read a lot of comic books so far in my life.
This comic book is a very quick read and Ive read it under 20 minutes. Which really surprise me.
But even thou this book is a quick read, it doesn’t mean its bad. Its actually the opposite of that. This comic books is very good because in a way it captures the essence of batman and how it was like watching “Batman: The Animated Series” as a kid for the first time and getting sucked into the world of superheroes.
This comic books takes us in a way under the mask of batman, and actually how it is for Bruce Wayne to be the Batman where most comic books about bantam focuses on the action of Batman rather than psychology of batman.
If you are planing to start your journey into superhero comic books then I would easily recommend to anyone to start with this one.
