Kurt has made mistakes, big mistakes. Like the time he chased his cousin up into the mountains and nearly caused her death, all for the chance of power in the otherwise lawless town of Wolf Valley. But his actions only proved one thing, he would never be alpha material. He doubts he will ever be fit for anything since he ended up stuck in the body of his wolf for far too long. A wolf who has now abandoned him.
One woman saved him; she coaxed the man out, bringing him back from the brink of insanity. He was sure she was his mate, but she couldn't be, because she left even before he could thank her. All he has to hold onto is the memory of her face, a face he paints over and over again, a face he may never set eyes on again.
Nadine is a fraud. She spends her life helping other shifters control their beast, when she has no clue how to control her own. It's there inside her, somewhere, she can feel it. But she has never been able to tell what she is, let alone change into the creature.
It's part of why she turned her back on her mate. After nursing him back to health, she should have stayed with him. However, she feared it would only add to his mental confusion. With all the drugs he was on, she doesn't know if he even remembers her. It's better if he doesn't.
When she finds out he is holding an art exhibition, she waits across the street to catch a glimpse of him. When he doesn't show up for the opening, she cannot resist taking a risk. One quick look at his paintings.
What she sees stuns her. He knows who she is, and what she is to him.
Events quickly escalate, and Nadine is thrown into danger. Can Kurt save her, and somehow redeem his wolf?
Contains scorching hot sex scenes and is meant for adults only.
Harmony Raines loves to write romance filled with magic and love. Her men are usually not so alpha, but they know how to treat their fated mates, or alien lovers well.

Just my way of saying thank you for giving my books a try.
Setting: Canada, maybe? Not sure. Not specified Contemporary Genre: Shifter romance. This is the first book in the Wolf Vally Raiders series, but it is apparently an offshoot of another series. At least, that's how it reads. There's vague reference to an event in Kurt's past that caused him to get stuck in his wolf. Apparently, Nadine was able to cure him, though in this book he is apparently stuck as a human. So it seems that, in that book, he recognized her as his fated mate. Now we find out that she recognized him too, but decided to take off when she thought she wasn't good enough for him. Why, you ask? Because she has never been able to shift into her own animal. She doesn't even know what she is since her mom is a fox and her dad a bear. This was a near DNF. I did, however, stick with it - just to find out what kind of shifter Nadine is. I won't tell you on the off-chance you actually want to read this, but I will say that it's genetically impossible. I know, I know. It's fantasy. But even fantasy has to have some rules, and others in this fantasyland seem to follow a loosely realistic genetic pattern. So the plot of this book, such as it is, is about the two finding each other and working toward a HEA. There's some side action involving a gang of criminals who are apparently the Wolf Valley Raiders. I don't know, nor do I care, what the backstory and motivation are for them. I guess people who continue the series may find out, but I won't be one of those people. I am so glad KindleUnlimited exists! Yes, I pay a monthly subscription, but I don't have to get buyer's remorse when I get books like this.
Had no idea this book would be connected to any other series/books as it said standalone. Ergo I went into this book with no connection to the characters that others who have read the other books would have, and couldn't summon up any feeling for them since there wasn't really any development past what was established elsewhere. Without reading the other books it's kind of a waste of time.
I liked this book. I liked the connection between Kurt and Nadine and thought it was cool that Kurt helped Nadine find her shifter animal by using what she’d taught him after he was stuck as a wolf after he’d chased his cousin Fiona over the Mountain in Bear Creek and was stuck out in the snow for ages and Nadine used her expertise for him to be able to shift back and be human again. She always felt like a fraud as she’s helped so many shifters who have problems shifting but she’s never felt the need to shift. It wasn’t until Kurt offered to help that they worked out that since her parents were Red Fox and Bear they used to argue over what shifter animal Nadine would be and it put way too much pressure on her so she subconsciously didn’t want to shift so she didn’t disappoint one of her parents. Man, her shifter animal was completely adorable. I’m looking forward to reading the next story and finding out what happens with the Raiders and the reason why they’re doing what they’re doing. I’d recommend this book, series, universe and author to everyone.
Not sure how I feel about this book it's so much missing in this story...The story is builded around Kurt and Nadine..it is hinted that something bad happened to Kurt but the reader never knows the entire story just a tease is dropped about Kurt losing his mind and trying to kill his cousin...but don't know why, what, how, where, and when...the reader is just left hanging about that story...
The story begins from the healing point Kurt was bad but now he is good because of Nadine help...their is some drama and trauma from Wolf Valleys Raiders but no information is revealed about them either or how they are connected to Kurt and his family...I can guess but rather if the author just told me which she doesnt...unless it is revealed in the other 3 books as their is more stories in this series but honestly I think she doesn't connect the books or the stories so these questions will never be answered...Read at your own risk...
This is a lovely short book about to people that have to learn to accept each other. Kurt is a wolf shifter that had been stuck in wolf form for a while until Nadine help him. However she disappear before he had the chance to tell her she was his fated mate. Marine's job was to help shifters, the irony of it was that she could help herself. She was a shifter that never actually....shifted. She didn't even knew what animal she harbours inside herself but with the help of her big bad wolf she is going to find out! Great read. Highly recommended
I read this story as part of the Summer Love Shifter Style #1bundle. I have read three other stories by this author that were also parts of bundles. This is apparently the first installment in her Wolf Valley Raiders series and I can see the direction this series might take. Now that Kurt and Nadine have solved their animal issue, they will need to deal with the other issues that presented themselves in this story.
Redeem the Wolf (Wolf Valley Raiders Book 1) by Harmony Raines. When Kurt had chased Fiona through the mountains he spent too much time as his wolf and he couldn’t change back. With the help of Nadine he came back to himself then realised she was his mate. When Nadine was attacked by outlaw wolves Kurt found her in time to prevent her getting hurt or worse.
Imagine not knowing the type of animal your other half was. Being stuck in your other half and not being able to shift back. They need each other to make each of them whole.
I have read several of these stories. They are all so similar, the author can just copy from previous stories. I loved the premise but very monitous in a hurry. Did like that characters came back in later books.
Excellent story, series. I loved the backstory and how it plays out in the here and now. The couples (fated mates) all really good stories and the future of Wolf Valley is secure at last!!
About a wolf shifter who has lost his way who paints, finds his mate then loses her while she runs away. She's attacked on her way home and resuced by her wolf mate
A SWEET, HEARTWARMING, FEEL-GOOD READ !!! ABSOLUTELY DELIGHTFUL !!! Title: Redeem the Wolf Series: Wolf Valley Raiders Designation: Book One, Standalone Novella, NO Cliffhanger Author: Harmony Raines Reading Platform: Kindle Unlimited My Rating: FIVE DELIGHTFULLY HEARTWARMING STARS ***** Harmony Raines has dazzled her readers yet again with another brand new series and folks, it totally rocks! Redeem the Wolf is the first book in Raines' heartwarming new Wolf Valley Raiders Series and WOW! She's outdone herself - again! I love it! I'm always amazed by the range of emotions I seem to experience while reading a Harmony Raines' story. She never fails to evoke a perfect mixture of sadness, heartache, happiness, joy and yes, sometimes even anger over an injustice suffered by one of her characters. Some writers are born with a natural ability as a storyteller and Harmony Raines has been blessed with this talent in spades. She always knows exactly how to tug on our heartstrings, tickle our funny bone and warm our hearts with sweet romance and fated love. The story is well crafted, unique, heartwarming, passionate, sensual and romantic. The narrative is well written in the third person with alternating his and her points of view by chapter. As always, the dialogue is extremely well executed and flows seamlessly. The characters are captivating, engaging, endearing and relatable. Raines skillfully combines these elements into a delightfully entertaining paranormal romance that will satisfy your sweet tooth and melt your heart! This is a sweet, sexy, feel-good romance that will warm your soul and make you smile. We first met wolf shifter Kurt as the villain in Snowbound With The Bear. In order to gain rank within the pack, he made a selfish bid for power by offering his cousin Fiona up as a trade to an unscrupulous tiger shifter seeking a virgin mate. Unfortunately, his plan didn't work out so well and as a result, he became trapped in a snowstorm in the mountains and in order to survive, he had to remain in his wolf form. When Kurt was finally rescued, he was too weak to shift and became locked in his wolf form which can easily happen when a shifter remains too long as their animal. It can also affect their mental stability and Kurt had to be hospitalized. His only hope for recovery lies in the hands of one beautiful woman who seems to work miracles for patients with this special problem. His sanity now rests on a woman whose face and scent has haunted him for months. He knows she must be real - she has to be and he doesn't even know her name. The only thing he knows for sure is she ran from him but he must find her, and soon, or he may just lose his mind - again. He nor his wolf may be able to survive without her because she is his true mate. Oh my! Obviously, a human doctor could be of no use at all but nurse Nadine Dury isn't strictly human. Huh? Oh no, Nadine is fully aware that she isn't fully human and desperately feels the pull of the mating call. She is undeniably drawn to Kurt and the pull is getting stronger every day but for his sake, she must remain strong and stay away from him. She's an imposter. How could he ever love someone like her? Or something like her? She doesn't even know what she is and she can never allow anyone to learn her secret. But will Nadine be able to deny her fate? I'll never tell. No spoilers from me but I will say this....Beautiful, kind-hearted nurse who seems to be able to help everyone except herself-check! Handsome wolf shifter who experiences a life changing revelation and is now willing to do whatever it takes to find his true mate-check! A mysterious vicious wolf intent on claiming something that does not belong to him-check! A town in trouble and in need of an alpha-check! Heartbreaking angst-check! Heated attraction, fiery passion, sweet romance and fated love-check! And Raines even includes two wonderful life lessons at no extra charge. One, you can never outrun your fears nor your fate and two, with the right motivation, anyone can change their stars. I loved it! Deliciously heartwarming and delightfully entertaining!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Emotionally raw and redemptive, Kurt and Nadine’s journey is about healing and rediscovery—both of self and soul. His tortured past and her mysterious identity make for a gripping reunion story. The stakes feel personal and high, with art, danger, and fated mates all twining together. A strong pick if you love stories where broken characters find their match—and their inner strength—together.
As you saw from the cover description we are given a lot of information about Redeem the Wolf before we even open up to the first page. Admittedly part of me was glad of the chance to really know what I was getting into, and if it was worth the time and money (okay, I borrowed it on my Kindle Unlimited plan, but you get the idea). Another part honestly screamed – too much information, what’s going to be left to discover by telling me all of this now. I am quite honestly, torn. And if I’m equally honest, I felt a little like I do when someone says too much in a review… where’s the mystery of the story? What’s left to discover had better be amazing since I feel I now know half of the story. Look, I’m not trying to be intentionally rude to whoever put together the cover description for this novel. It is simply too much information that I, personally, would have liked to discover from the novel itself.
Kurt and Nadine’s romance was charming and enjoyable. Their sexual life is definitely hot and heavy so this novel is definitely for an 18+ audience. This couple are mates, they both feel it and each is leery of that fact for different reasons. It will take courage and danger to bring them to fully mated lovers. Trust is everything between mates, and Nadine will need to trust Kurt to accept and help her as she had helped him.
Since this is the first novel in the Wolf Valley Raiders series, there is a bit of worldbuilding and the introduction of characters who may be in future stories. It in no way takes away from the story and in fact, adds a major storyline to Nadine and Kurt’s romance.
I enjoyed this story and will look for the next To Catch A Wolf upon its release.
I had read the story where Kurt was the baddie but he had not had a major part in that book. In this book we learn what he was thinking and how he redeems himself and more about him. I came to like him and thought his mate Nadine was a sweetie. Nadine was an interesting character and even though she felt like a fraud her work was amazing. I loved that Kurt helped her find her animal self and what a cutie she was. The fact that he tried to protect Nadine whilst worried about letting his wolf loose again said a lot to me about how he had changed and his strength of character. He was genuinely a nice guy who just got in over his head and the fact he lost himself to his wolf was interesting.
Nadine works with shifters who ned help relating to their other side. Kurt was stuck as a wolf. They worked very hard together and brought his human side out. She gave him the mental tools to stay human and become a member of society. Part of Kurt's therapy is painting and he is very good. Nadine came to his first show, but she left as soon as she saw him. Am I mistaken? Don't mates run toward each other? When Kurt got to the show, he smelled her and started looking, but he was upsetting his mother. He had put his mother through enough. Mia, sister, says to make a speach, then I can go. She doesn't know, I will be going after my mate. When they find each other, will it be fireworks or just plain fire? I volunteered to review this ARC book using my own opinion.
Nadine and Kurt are destined to be together. She is a sweet nurse who helps at the hospital. Kurt gets locked inside his wolf, he can't turn, and she helps him find himself. Now, she's attacked and her car stolen, where he comes to help. They are mates but did not tell each other they knew, because each didn't feel worthy. Nadine's secret, she can't change, comes to light and they both help each other. Harmony Raines writes her characters as deep people we can relate to. Good characters, fast paced plot, and hot sex make this a fast fun read. ENJOY !!!
I wasn't sure he'd get one, or if he even deserved one. In Mia's story we got more info but nothing compelling us to look beyond what he'd done to his cousin. Personally, I didn't think he deserved a mate. I was wrong.
We didn't get to meet Nadine earlier but she was alluded to as helping Kurt come back to himself. I was not prepared for her plot twist, but when you think about it, these two souls were meant to be bound to each other. Love her other form and I can't wait to see what this new group of wolves is about.
Harmony Raines is in a class of her own. She has not disappointed me yet in any of the books that I have read of hers. Harmony doesn't play when she writes and she lets her characters get into her head so her books may not go how she wants them to. This is a must read book especially if you love Were Wolves!!!
This is Kurt's story. Kurt has been into trouble ever since he had taken over the River Valley Wolves. He had been caught in a blizzard and almost froze in his wolf form. Kurt is on the look for his life mate Nadine. She saved his life and brought him back from near death.
This is the first book in the Wolf Valley Raiders and I want the rest of this series. Kurt could not come back from his wolf form until he meet Nadine who helps shifters connect with their two halves, while he was in the hospital he lost track of her. Kurt has a big art gallery showing and Nadine goes to it, she knows he is her mate but because of something in her own life she thinks he will not want her. Unknown to them there is an evil that will try to keep them apart. What happens?
