I would not have seen this mystical jewel had not my cousin recommended it after meeting the author, a Unitarian minister, and his novelist wife. Citing a diverse trove of literature, philosophy, and spiritual thought from the universe of religions, the author mindfully examines six basic questions that all humans confront: Why life, God, love, suffering, evil, and death? Motivating non-dogmatic, non-judgmental introspection unbound from arbitrary rules, he offers the reader an opportunity to contemplate and understand those six questions. Thoughtful answers help to mold a life well-lived and to prepare for a death joyfully received.
