I read books 1 & 2, and generally enjoyed the story lines and liked the character development in most instances. However, these books need some serious proofreading, editing and fact-checking to take this talented author to the next level. Grammatical errors abound. Author is also writing about things she doesn't know about, and that's a quick way to lose credibility. For example, when our protagonist(s) encounter wild pigs on an island, the text makes repeated references to a vicious "mother boar" . . . by definition, a boar is a male pig/hog. An adult female is called a sow. The name of one character, Addy, was later spelled Addie. I applaud the author's vivid imagination and the quick wit of some of her characters, but lack of attention to some details ruins the read for me.
