Favorite Quotes:

Do I need to beat my chest and claim you like Tarzan? Because I will if that’s what I need to do?

I think I can handle it, I mean, I am a big boy and all. Don’t let my skills of racing Tonka trucks fool you.

I’ve seen her in action, and I’ll admit she’s possibly the only female that can cause my balls to curl up and hide when I’m around her.

I don’t think I want to have a stranger’s baby. I’d like to try the old-fashioned way before I go that route. I’ll talk to him and see where his head’s at. It’s not like I’m going to go out tonight and grab some sperm from the store.

My Review:

Angsty inner musings and sorrowful ruminations comprised 75% of this tale, arg! Angst is just never going to be on my list of favorite things, so it required a mental downshift from the snarky and sparkling humor I had grown to expect from the first two books in the series. Not so say the book was a total downer or wasn’t worth reading, as that was not the case, I just wasn’t expecting the level of tension and heaviness in the storyline. The main character of Francesca suffered from an intense case of Endometriosis, a condition I was vaguely aware of having to do with female plumbing. As a person frequently dealing with chronic pain, Francesca was prone to internal retreat, anxiety, running away from and avoiding intense situations, emotional despondency, and generally living in an angst filled drama in her head; she would be a difficult person to befriend as in addition to her penchants for anxiety and over-reaction, she tended to lose track of time and was frequently late. Luckily for Francesca, her quirky friends loved her dearly, always had her back, and continued to provide welcome hits of levity to the storyline. Of equal good fortune, Francesca had also been blessed by the BBF gods with the hunkalicious Evan, who was BBF perfection. I also appreciated and enjoyed the continuation of the storylines of the featured couples from the two previous installments and am already looking forward to the next book, and have my fingers crossed for a reappearance of Ms. Willard’s trademark humor and romantic fireworks.

Loved it! This is the third book in A Taste of Love series. A M Willard blow my mind again with another amazing story. This book is about Frankie and Evan. Heated Sweets deals with real life problems that women and couples have to faces. You will be hooked from the first page. This book will have you crying alot and even laughing at times too.  A M Willard has an amazing storyline in this series. I highly recommend you read Frosted Sweets and Sugary Sweets first before you read this one. Can't wait to read your next book. Keep up the awesome work!

This book started with a "holy . . . wow" moment. I was almost in tears before I got into the story, but it's because A.M. Willard can write—so so talented. I literally could not put this book down. I have a tendency of reading a chapter a night, and I tried to do that with hers, but nope, I got sucked in and I was reading pages while I was walking down a flight of stairs (I don't recommend that), but this book was just that good. Her characters flew off of the pages and there were times I felt like I was in the middle of a Sex in the City scene with my closest friends. I felt every bit of chemistry and I loved how A.M. Willard wasn't afraid to take the less chosen route when it comes to romance. I had moments of awe, and moments of shock. I didn't know how it was going to end until it ended, and that's exactly how I prefer a perfect romance book. I highly recommend this read to everyone. A.M. Willard knocked this one out of the park, so don't miss out!

This is by far my favorite book in the series. Because of the author's real life struggle with this overwhelming disease, we are truly able to understand the struggles some women face every day. This story of Frankie and Evan is so heartwarming and the love between them the real deal. I can't wait to see the continuation of their story in the next book!!!

Francesca "Frankie" has struggled for years and Brody has always been her knight in shining armour, but something has always kept her from truly committing to him. So when she sees Evan Taylor her new neighbor and is instantly attracted to him and his son. Can Frankie finally let go of the past and embrace a future full of possibilities?

Wow! What can I say about this book. It moved me to tears several times over. Frankie's struggles just reminded me that you have to find your happiness and love where you can. This book just spoke to me and to my heart. A.M. Willard has a way of making you feel everything she writes. To read that the author dealt with problems of her own similar to Frankie's just brought the story more to life for me. For every person who is struggling this book gives hope. This was an emotionally driven story that has many twists and turns but it is one that I didn't want to end. Frankie is truly a strong and courageous woman and Evan is the man that we all hope to find one day. Together they work to weather this thing we call life and to roll with what we are given with grace and love. This is a book I will recommend and read over and over again. Thank you A.M. Willard for giving me a book that is filled with emotion and love on every page. Not only the love we see between the main characters but the love of true friendship and those people that are your family even if they aren't related to you.

Heated Sweets is the third book in the A Taste of Love series. I would recommend reading Frosted Sweets and Sugary Sweets before you read Heated Sweets. If you have been falling the series than you know your in for a special treat.

I don't know if A.M. could have written Frankie's story any better. All the detail, information, heartfelt moments, heartache, friendship and love were just the right amount. Although I didn't want Frankie's story to end but A.M. does a fantastic job carrying the girls into the book. A.M. mentioned that maybe Frankie's story should have been first but I think it was better this way. Around of applause to you A.M. and for making me cry.

Heated Sweets speaks for itself. So with that being said and I don't like to give anything away so grab a copy of Heated Sweets and follow Frankie on her life adventure.

Frankie has been battling a hidden disease for years. She has had numerous surgeries and feels like she's slowly dying inside. Life continues to go on around her and she can't take it anymore. So she runs, just like she always does.

Evan is the single dad that just moved in down the street. He crashes into Frankie's life by chance and now will never let her go. He wants to be there for her through everything. She is his soulmate
and he will fight for her.

This was the story that I looked forward to most. Frankie's battle mirrors my own in so many ways. She is hurting on the inside and putting on a brave face on the outside. I wish the author would have taken more time with this story as parts just felt rushed. While I appreciate AM taking the time to delve into a touchy subject and with class no less, the story felt incomplete.

I absolutely LOVED this book. I love Frankie's sass, her willpower and the strength she shows. Anelle has such a way with words, I felt all the emotions she was feeling. I cried, laughed, got mad but never gave up hope for her. This book was truly amazing.

First off 5 stars for this book isn't doing it justice at all. This series is getting better and better but this book this book right here just blew the freaking scale plum off the radar and I don't know how A.M will top this book with the next one in the series. I thought that I connected with Zara in Sugary Sweets and in a way I do but I am Frankie all the way and this book is just so exceptional!! It will let you in to some of the most intimate parts of someone's feelings that battle an invisible illness. And for A.M to capture that raw pain and anguish and the feelings of no one understanding and have it seem to reach out and grab you in the heart and twist is hard to do but she pulled it off. And that shows true talent as a writer. And as someone who fights an invisible illness this book hit me hard. It should hit anyone with a heart something bad also. So you will cry in this book some but there is also the funny as well. I also love which I don't think I mentioned before how we get little pov's from each girl at the end on what's up and how they are feeling. I also love how they are all so entwined with each other and even though the books are focused on one couple we still have the other one's coming in and living there lives as there books are continuing. I can't wait for Natasha's book!!! I love this series and it's quickly moving up to one of my favorite's!!

I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this book after I got a little ways into reading the story. It was definitely not what I was expecting. After reading the first two books, I just knew in my heart how Frankie's story was going to go. I couldn't have been more wrong. It went in the complete opposite direction of what I was expecting, and it was AWESOME! This was one of those stories where I doubted the way the author was going with it, but I soon realized, I should NEVER doubt this particular author. She knew exactly what she was doing and I was pleasantly surprised. I have been a die-hard Brody fan since the beginning, but Evan completely stole my heart! I can't leave out Neil! He stole my heart from the very beginning. This book was intense compared to the other two. Frankie was as awesome as ever. Her emotions were all over the place, but there was no doubt in my mind which was she was going with her feelings after reading for a while. I was being a hater for a short time, but after all was said and done, the story came together beautifully and I love all of the characters more than ever! Zara was as funny and cranky as ever! She's my favorite and she didn't let me down with her place in this story. None of the characters did. I didn't realize how much I missed all the ladies (and their hot-as-all-get-out-men) from this series until I started reading this book. They have burrowed their way into my heart with all of their shenanigans. The fact that they don't hold back and are always honest with each other without the sugar-coating (lol), just warms my heart. The ending sealed the deal for me. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect story for Frankie. She deserved this book. I cannot wait for Natasha's story! I highly recommend this story for anyone looking for a sweet romance with a twist.

I love a romance that is smart and tugs at my heartstrings, and Heated Sweets did just that. Frankie appears to have it all together. She is a successful photographer doing what she loves and has a huge support system of friends. However, she’s been hiding behind her camera lens for a long time. She is dealing with a chronic illness, but she makes it seems to everyone on the outside that she’s dealing with it. After all, she did come back from NY, after running away from her love, Brody. Yet, she’s still dealing with the emotional toll of chronic endometriosis and all that comes with it. She’s tired of running and is finally coming to terms with it both physically and mentally.
As if that isn’t enough, an old love will re-emerge in her life, and a new love may be on the horizon.
While this is a romance, it’s so much more. It’s a journey, Frankie’s journey to discover herself and her road to HEA. If someone deserves a HEA, it’s Frankie. She has dealt with doctors and surgeries all of her life. Her perseverance is astounding. Her BFFs keep her strong, and I loved their relationship. Frankie does have two men vying for her affections, but it isn’t a typical love triangle.

Both Brody and Evan were good men, and I loved both of them. However, Frankie has a hard decision to make. One man represents her past and one her future. I think you will agree, it ends the way it should. I’m not really going in depth into the story because it’s one you really need to read for yourself. Just know, it’s a good one!!!!

I like a book which can change my perception on things and one that I can learn from. I certainly learned a great deal from this book. Willard sheds light on endometriosis. A lot of us I’m sure have heard about it, but I did not know about the daily struggles and pain, both mental and physical, that some women endure. Willard does a phenomenal job of bringing all that to light. Be sure to read the acknowledgements at the end…it spoke to my heart! I have not read the first two in the series, but I already have them downloaded to my Kindle. I can’t wait to read those. I’m so happy when I discover a new writer whom I fall in love with, and I certainly fell in love with A.M. Willard.

Frankie is the wild child of the group to me. The most unpredictable. Zara is wild but you expect the things she does. Between the two of them I'm not sure who I favor more. They are both amazing characters. However Frankie is suffering through some emotions that dig deep into your heart. At the end of the second book, Frankie decided to move back to be closer to the girls and Brody but realizes Brody has moved on. But really she's just smashed his heart. He's still completely in love with her. You feel bad for these two because they deserve to get a happy ending. Moving in 6 doors down, is a hot single dad, Evan that Frankie can't help but be attracted to. Zara steps in to give them a little push but they hit it off. A little bit at the beginning Frankie still struggles to let Evan and his son, Neil, get to close to her but it's like it just comes natural. She doesn't have much resistance like she did with Brody. The different stages of the disease Frankie suffers through, Evan is there holding her hand and it's like super swoon worthy moments. It's definitely a good novel and my favorite so far out of the series. I'm so engrossed in their families that I can't wait to see what the author has in store for them next.

Heated Sweets by A.M. Willard is book #3 in A Taste of Love Series. This is the story of Francesca, aka Frankie.

Frankie has an insecurity that she keeps hidden from herself and others around her. She calls it "hiding behind her camera" and it's been haunting her for years. She believed she knew what she wanted, but then she ran and left. She left a broken heart behind. When things change and she returns, it's her heart that is now broken. This is Frankie's journey of breaking her shell, finding out who she is, accepting who she has become, and figuring out what she wants in life. What happens when you meet someone you didn't know existed and they guide you onto the correct path while letting you see that you can be yourself on the other side of the camera instead of behind it?

I enjoyed reading Heated Sweets. I am a fan of A Taste of Love Series. I love how all the characters are the best of friends. They are always there to encourage one another through the good times and the bad times. They all have their own situations, yet they all come together as a family. I can not wait for more of these characters in the next book.

This had so many great moving parts that just made it such a special read. In this third instalment we get to know Frankie, she is suffering from a disease that does not show up on the outside of the body, so to the outside world she appears perfectly healthy. However her pain is all inside, causing her to hide from the world behind her camera and rely on her best friend Brody to be her superman. She loves him as a friend but is not in love with him in a romantic sense anymore.

Then she meets her new hot neighbour Evan and his little boy Neil. Game over! Single dad, sweet, caring and wants her from the minute he first lays eyes on her. Can she fight her insecurities and try to build a bond with this beautiful man and his son? and will she be able to let go of Brody?

So many funny moments with her best girlfriends, always there for one another. Makes us all wish we had friends like this who will be there no matter what. I loved this, it leaves you feeling happy when you make it to the end.

Funny, heartbreaking, hopeful, sexy, hot, and full of happiness are not enough words to describe this book. What a complete joy it was to read this lighthearted, if not painful at times, story. I absolutely loved Heated Sweets and think it is by far my favorite of this series to date.

The storyline is amazing in that it is what many women face daily when suffering with endometriosis. But with the friends that Frankie has, she makes it trough her mini-breakdowns with the strength she receives from her friends and Evan. What a group of friends and what a wonderful man she's found in Evan. Now, if she can get Brody to move on as well. This story has all the laughs and tears and joy and of course the quick banter that you would expect from these life long friends. And the laughs just keep coming when you throw a very pregnant Zara into the mix.

The characters are so very well written and defined and as you read Frankie's story, you meet a couple of new characters in Evan and his little boy Neil. Evan is a dream, not only in his looks but in his patience with Frankie and the personal trials she is going through, and he will not be pushed away. Frankie is, well Frankie. She's strong yet vulnerable, confident in her work but not so much when it comes to other's viewing her work. But when she loves, she loves hard.

This is an incredible story of hope and love and I highly recommend this book and the series to anyone who loves a romantic comedy.

I Voluntarily received an arc copy of this book in return for nothing but an honest review.
This is the third book in this series and I would recommend reading books 1 & 2 (Frosted Sweets & Sugary Sweets) first.
Well wow !! This is definitely my favorite of this series so far. This is Frankie's story and one full of emotion and heart rending situations. One that women can easily relate to and one that will have you in tears and joy at the same time. I don't want to give much away, you gotta go into this one blind.
Frankie has spent years hiding a secret and a disease that has torn her life apart, now she's moved and met Evan Taylor, a single father and her new neighbour. Although Brody has always been in her life, she's always known that he isn't the "one" even though she loves him dearly.
The journey this book takes us, isn't an easy one, its love, its friendship, its surviving and strength. It's learning to let go and move forward and its a tough journey of self discovery!! You really need to read it, I didn't want this book to end !!!!

Loved this book more than the other two so far.

Its hard to write this review without spoiling things.

Ive been waiting to read Frankies story as she seemed so broken and lost in the other books.

This book had me in tears for most of it. Id love to have the close friendship the four ladies have, knowing that no matter what they will be their for each other.

The way it was wrote how Frankie feels about herself was heartbreaking, as there are so many women out there who suffer and im one of them. This book helped me knowing how ive felt im not alone.

Frankie: She thinks shes so broken that she dosnt deserve to be loved or to be happy. She knows that she hurt Brody, and hess moved on without her. Can they still be friends?
Can she be as happy as all her friends are now.

we still have Natasha story to look forward to. And find out if everyone gets the happy ending they desirve.

I voluntarily received an ARC from the author.

Love this series so was happy to receive book 3 in the Taste Of Love series. AM Willard has done it again with another book in this brilliant series.

This is Frankie and Evan's story and I have been waiting for this one, especially after some events in book 2 Sugary Sweets I feel like I have been through the emotional ringer in this one as one minute I was laughing and the next I'm crying. There was so many beautiful moments of heartache, friendship and love, i was completely enamoured with this story from beginning to end.

This was definitely my favourite book in the series so far. In previous books I had been routing for Brody but once I met Evan he was quickly replaced. I cannot wait for the next book and Natasha's story.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from the Author.

Francesca, aka Frankie, has been hiding behind her camera for years. She has a chronic illness that has turned into her biggest insecurity, so it's hard for her to let any man in. Frankie was with Brodie, but she moved away when her insecurities got the best of her, as she realized that he's been her crutch, not the man she's supposed to be with. Now she's come back home, and is doing her best to let go of the past so they can become friends. And on her path to happiness, she meets her sexy new neighbor, Evan Taylor. He's exciting and isn't putting big expectations on her. Will he get her to come out from behind the camera, and win in the end? I really love this series, as A.M. Willard has surpassed herself with such hilarious, and witty banter between all of these friends. And the men that take them on aren't anything to sneeze at, plus they put up with all the crazy. Her talented writing style is evolving into brilliant levels, and I don't read the blurbs anymore, just see her name, and know I'm going to read the story. Of course these girls crazy makes for perfectly placed humor that kept me laughing hard, not to mention, it's awesome to see what everyone is doing now. I wish that this series would never end, but I know that's not realistic, however, having it on my kindle makes sure that they will always be on my heart to read over and over again, and that's why I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND everyone read this series, so they do the same!

Again A.M. Willard has blown my socks off. I love this story.
Imagine, having a body that betrays you on the most intimate level. Never knowing what tomorrow will bring, Frankie deals with an issue most people don't know about, or if they do, they don't talk about it.
Dealing with an issue like this, Ms. Willard has brought out an issue most don't think of, what does someone with Endometriosis think of themselves? Do they feel like everyone else, or do they think that they are a ticking time bomb?
Frankie deals with it as best as she can, even though she thinks she will never be good enough to find that one special person.
Enter Evan, a man with a past, a single father raising his son alone.
What I love is that he never takes her diagnosis for granted, and doesn't let her either. They deal, together, with all that comes with it.

Such an amazing group of friends and it is these friendships that make the series so special and me coming back for more each time.

For those of who have read the previous books in the series, you will know that Frankie had a brief relationship with Brody but left to follow her photography career. She is now back and things are awkward between them, with confused feelings muddying the waters.

When Frankie meets the new single man on the street, Evan, she realises that what she felt for Brody was not true love. But Evan has the one thing that Frankie may never be able to have because of her medical condition: a child.

Lots of craziness, heat, laughter, and tears along the way. I felt very much part of this group of friends. I found Frankie's story a poignant and emotive one that was so beautifully told in such a heartfelt way.

This is the third book in the Taste of Love series. While the other two were much lighter reads, this one was definitely deeper. The story centered around the main character Frankie who was dealing with a serious health issue that not only affected her future, but her need to protect others from it was affecting her current relationships.
Frankie's strength finally showed through when she let her walls down and allowed others into her world.
Ms. Willard dealt with the topic of women's health issues with sensitivity. You could feel the emotional pain of Frankie not only while living with this disease, but also dealing with who and when she would allow others in.
Although the main topic was a heavy one, there were plenty of lighter moments, laugh-out-loud moments and some sexy moments as well.
I can't wait for the 4th story in this series to round out the adventures of these four friends.

Everyone Deserves Their "Evan"

This by far is my most favorite of the series! If we could rate it higher than 5 stars this would certainly receive a 10 from me! This story will have you wrestling with your feelings from the beginning and throughout. A. M. Willard doesn't just hold on to your heartstrings, she clenches onto your heart, head and soul. As you read the series you will completely comprehend why this is the third story. If this were in any other order the depth of love these friends share would not be as understood. While you can read them out of order, you will definitely miss where the "lightbulb" comments are and miss pieces of these four friends~

This is book three in the Taste of Love series and is a story about learning to love yourself and learning how to lean on the friends and family in your life. Francesca (Frankie) is part of a group of four very different and sometimes crazy, best friends. Her story is a bit emotional because of the health condition she lives with. Frankie is a strong, brave and spunky character! When she meets her neighbor, Evan and his son, Neil, it's INSTA-love. Frankie has a lot of baggage to deal with, not only her health issues but also the past relationship with her "friend" Brody (it's not a love triangle or anything, though). I really liked how Ms. Willard handled Frankie's illness, her personality felt real and true to life. She was fearful but she was courageous also. The story is a fast paced, sweet read sprinkled with humor and a touch of emotional drama. It's a relatively "clean" love story with just a few intimate scenes. Told from Frankie's POV with a sweet ending. I received, read and voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Throughout the other 2 books in this series, I had a feeling that Frankie's story would be emotional, and I was right. Willard delivers a deeply personal and beautiful story. I was completely caught up in these characters and their story.
I don't want to give any details about this one, I'm worried it will take away from the story. I do have to say, there were a couple surprises thrown our way. I started reading this book with an expectation for how it was going to go and I wasn't expecting the little twists and turns that she gave us.
While I have struggled with some aspects of the writing throughout the series, I have been captivated by each and every character and their journeys to happiness and love. I always feel like a part of their group. I smile with them, cry with them, and feel their excitement. I'm eager to see where Natasha's story takes us!

Friends Zara, Frankie, Morgan and Natasha are back for more in the latest installment in The Taste of Love series. This is mainly Frankie's story and picks up shortly after she returns to Atlanta. She is struggling with endometriosis and she is still fighting her urge to run away when things get tough. She is also dealing with her best friend and one-time boyfriend, Brody dating another woman and her budding feelings for a new neighbor, single parent Evan and his son Niel. This is a very good story, tackling a very difficult health problem with sensitivity. The characters in this series are very likable, even Zara who is a bit of a handful at times. I am looking forward to the next book.

I am just not sure...who I am more in love with...Evan...or...NEIL!

Heated Sweets is an amazing story dealing with a real issue too many women (and couples) have to face. Endometriosis is very real and heartbreaking, with no cure available!
On the other side, it is a story of struggle, strength, friendships, growth, and change.
Well written, fast paced, filled with laughter, tears, and hope. A must read!
