The LLC QuickStart Guide is just that, a very small guide to starting an LLC. It does contain good information, but most of the information you could find online with a quick google search. It is really not worth the price for the paperback for the amount of info you get.

This book touches on the basics of forming a LLC. It contains lots of useful information about the pitfalls in managing LCC (e.g. agreement).

LLC benefits:
- [ ] Simple legal structure
- [ ] You can file company’s revenue the same way as your personal income tax (with the same form)
- [ ] If anything goes wrong with the company, your assets (e.g. houses, and cars) will not be taken away.

LLC disadvantages:
- [ ] Higher tax rate
- [ ] Many investors will not open doors to LLCs.
- [ ] It is restricted to a company’s growth. You would need to think about an exit strategy when in the future your company is growing or when you want to change the structure of your companies.

Very Informative

I learned a lot. It was easy to understand and helped me to see what areas I failed to address when I filed my LLC.

"A Great Refresher Course in Business"

"LLC QuickStart Guide" is a great audiobook for anyone interested in beginning a partner type business without having to form a partnership. The LLC (Limited Liability Company) is perhaps more appealing than forming a corporation as well. This book also explains LLPs and LLLPs.

Forming an LLC is likely more appealing for folks wanting to start a small business. It's less formal, less taxes but it is 'limited liability' therefore in some instances a corporation may be better depending on the type of business. In many instances beginning an LLC IS the best way to go.

That's where this audiobook is extremely helpful and useful. It explains how the LLC works as well as it's advantages and disadvantages. I found it to be a great refresher course also. This will get you started in the right direction.

Amy Barron Smolinski did an excellent job with this book. She's easy to understand and speaks at a good pace. Overall, I enjoyed listening.

I think the title says it all...this is a good starting point for anyone interested in creating an LLC.

While there is a lot of work and research you'll have to do on your own (which they point out) this book gives a good overview of the process and some pitfalls to stay away from.

Having just created an LLC myself I found this information to be inline with what I experienced and the advice I was given.

The narrator did a great job of taking what some would consider "dry" material and making it engaging.

This book covers the basics of forming a LLC. It explains when a LLC is right for your business, that hiring an attorney is a must, and the documents required to make the LLC legal. I recommend it for anyone who is considering going into business and considering the LLC format.

I have considered starting a business. This book convinced me that the LLC format is not right for me or my business.

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
