This non-fiction book is very visually appealing and has facts about plants. Some of the information is basic botany, but the majority of it is trivia type facts such as the biggest pine cone or the tallest tree, stinky flowers, flowers as a crop, etc. While Fungi are not plants, as the author also admits, they are also mentioned in this book. Tweens and teens that are interested in plants may find this book appealing, but I have reservations as to whether the book will be very popular. I look forward to seeing what the kids think.

There is also a glossary of terms and an index in the back of the book.

Interesting tidbits of weird and wacky plant facts. This would be a good book to use as an attention grabber at summer reading programs.
