I'm the author of "Ariel" and "Anna". What else can I tell you about myself? Let’s see… I've always been a bookworm. Growing up, the characters in my favorite novels were my best friends. Eventually, I started creating my own. I hope you'll enjoy them!
Have a great day now and thanks again for visiting my Author Profile.
In this self-help booklet, Fia provides blunt, to-the-point, no-nonsense advice. While some of the advice is intuitive, Fia breaks it down in a way that feels fresh and genuinely helpful. Her advice is simple and straightforward, and she gives practical tips on how to put it into action. Likewise, Fia gives enough of her own experience to put her advice into context without being self-indulgent or self-important, as often happens with self-help authors. Overall, this booklet is a quick and honest kick-in-the-butt -- the next best thing to a phone call with your best friend. Thanks, Fia.
‘Self-Help Made Simple’ by Fia Essen is booklet not too thick, yet decently made work in which reader could find several practical advices for leading better life - usable instantly, even before the book will be left read on the shelf.
Though in last year or so I was asked by many self-published authors to review their works (and most of them I did), I have to admit Ms. Essen managed to deliver more in her 35 pages than many authors succeeded in their much thicker books.
Starting from the first short chapter that speaks about dealing with your past, up to the last where she speaks about stop seeking approvals, she delivers straightforward and easy-to-understand advices how to make the most of what you have and start working on getting what you want from your life.
‘Self-Help Made Simple’ is booklet full of small wisdoms, based on author’s own life experience and somehow leaves reader wanting for more when the end is reached. Therefore one can only hope Fia Essen will take material published within these covers and expand her writings into something bigger because this theme and her style certainly prove she is capable of such endeavor.
I was given a copy of this book by the author for the purpose of unbiased review, while all the presented information is based on my impressions.
Simple, easy to follow advice that has the potential to change your life.
Are you a complainer who wants to change?
Or
Are you a complainer that wants a pity party with the entire neighborhood invited?
If you are the latter this book isn't for you.
If you want results, really want results this book is a stepping stone that must not be missed.
This book is written in a friend to friend conversational tone and will have you nodding in agreement one minute, then getting a good old butt kicking the next. It's a wild ride my friends and Fia Essen is not messing around.
As Nike says- just do it and Fia adds- start small and keep going.

Self-Help Made Simple by Fia Essen gently guides the reader with simple and practical suggestions for recognizing what it is they want in life and how to achieve it. Whether you suffer from low self-esteem or are an over-achiever, there is a message here for you. Essen outlines the “whys” that hold many people back from achieving their personal goals and builds their confidence with easy step-by-step actions that will lead to success. If, on the other hand, you have achieved great success and know it all – then you need to read between the lines to recognize whether you are a giver or a taker. Essen shares anecdotes from her unique personal experiences to make her points with honesty and humor. This little book is the perfect go-to when the evil voice of self-doubt whispers in your ear. Afraid of change? Set in your ways? Want to grow as a person? This is the book for you!
Self-help Made Simple is simply that. There are tips on how to find yourself, discover what you want to do in life, declutter your life of not only material things but people who are negative and not supportive and accepting of whom you are. Believe in yourself.
The author's mantra is "think big, start simple and keep moving." I found this book to be inspiring and thought-provoking. If you are not sure of what you want to do in life read this enlightening book.
I was given a copy of this book in return for an honest review.
I was introduced to Fia Essen's writing during the publication of her first novel and glad to see her expanding into non-fiction.
This is a very quick read. While Essen gives advice, focused on her own experiences as a world-traveler and author, this is a great book for anyone who wants some guidance on how to change their life. There are eight chapters each focusing on topics such as decluttering one's life, how to deal with jealousy, how to stop seeking approval among others.
Prior to reading this book, I found simple life tasks completely overwhelming without trying to work with what I have. Now I approach daily tasks in a strategic fashion and fortunately it has paid off...
