Natalie Taylor knows it's time to move on from a dead-end crush that’s going nowhere. The problem is, she’s tried, but her heart and body just won’t cooperate. Then a late night stop on a deserted road changes everything.
Chrome has fought his longing for Natalie over the years. He's wanted her from the moment she set foot in the garage, brightening the dark places inside him with her beautiful smile. When Natalie is injured, Chrome faces a choice: finally start living again and give in to his need for Natalie...or risk losing her forever. He has a good reason for staying away from her. It’s time to bare his soul, tell her about the past that haunts him, and make her understand how he really feels about her.
I have truly enjoyed this Metal Cowboys series. The books are light reading and fun. They are all somewhat sappy at times but still an enjoyable read.
One thing I have to say about this Cowboy is that the cover, although a very attractive male didn't fit the description or the image I had of him from the first three books. Chrome has been and still is the "fighter", the "tough guy", the one that the other cowboys would not want to cross. The disappointment, for me, is the cover. Here is a "skinny", albeit sexy young man. This is not the image that the first 3 books left me with.
Chrome has been in an on again, off again relationship with Natalie all along. He has been avoiding committing or even involving himself in a relationship. They are both attracted to each other but I got the impression that it was a push/pull situation. When he wanted to get close, she wanted to pull away and vice versa. It takes an accident for Chrome to realize just how much he wants Natalie in his life permanently. He must face his past and deal with it.
I have enjoyed this series, even though they are short and light reading. I am at a point, I think, of wanting to know more. The characters are all so different. If you like light hearted, happily ever after romances, this series is a good one. I look forward to each book as I finish one.
very easy, very fast reading and quite enjoyable. the stories are a bit cliched in places and fairly predictable but i love the romances and the characters and the setting and i will definitely be reading the rest of the series
Chrome and Natalie have danced around eachother for years. There is chemistry there but Chrome keeps pulling back until an accident makes him see the light.
It's wonderful to finally see Chrome and Natalie together. This story has been a long time coming and it was brilliantly done! Natalie finally gets on a bike and Chrome's secret is revealed as he becomes the loving man we knew he was all along. The shift is abrupt but Abbott makes it smooth and nearly seamless.
I like the series but this book left out Chromes drama....where are all women he bedded? No more BBQ with skank invites? I understand his past but did he redeem himself? No
The books in this series are quick reads and insta love with HEA endings. Not a bad thing and worth the cost but still wished for more
