Shocking story twist.
This book started ok but somehow 40% in the girl and boy became weak pawns. Somehow the girl morphed into this weak female and all her wealth and upbringing just took a shocking nose dive!
The, guy turned weak and badly whiny too. Goodness, what happened to his vast wealth and resources!!! When I got wind of where the story Was going I skipped to the end even though I was only 41% in at that point!
The book story twist left a distasteful feeling in my mouth and somehow the plot was beyond believable for me. I hated every minute of my skipping and couldn't believe the author's poor development from what we've been told About the boy and girl, somehow the turn twist didn't match what we've been told About the strength and resources of these two characters!

Even though I usually enjoy the books by this author this one was just too hard to swallow. The story is so unbelievable and with discrepancies that I skipped pages to get to the end. I do not recommend it

The happiest of happy endings
Ok… first things first… if you haven’t already read the Sinful Desires box set, you MUST do that before you read Exotic Desires. For that is where you first meet the delectably delicious Reed Stirling and you will truly understand just why this guy deserves a happy ending.
In Sinful Desires, Reed makes monumental mistakes. These end up seeing him fall for the right girl, marry the wrong girl through duty to his parents, pine for the right girl who is now dating his brother-in-law, divorce the wrong girl but still end up losing the right girl because actually she wasn’t the right girl… not for him anyway.
If all that makes sense - which unless you’ve read it, I doubt it would - Reed is a man who is feeling more than a little lost. Losing Piper affected Reed deeply. Not because she treated him badly or purposely hurt him… but because she had made him see how desperately unhappy and discontent he was with his life. He’d done everything his parents asked of him… took on the family business, toed the line, married for power and position, but all it had brought him was a feeling that nothing would ever be enough in his parents eyes. He had to start living for himself.
So he’s in Europe… sewing his wild oats. But even that isn’t bringing him pleasure anymore. Until he meets an exotic beauty, Nami in a bar in Paris. She’s enchanting and immediately he is under her spell. After a steamy encounter their blissful union is cut short by two burly bodyguards who swiftly extricate her, leaving Reed bewildered and bereft.
Their connection is so strong… stronger even than what he felt for Piper and that is when he knows he must follow his heart this time.
And follow her he does… and he’s thrilled when it’s obvious that she feels the same. But there’s something she is hiding from him. Why the bodyguards? Who is she? Why does she need so much protection? The more he learns about Nami the more he feels like they understand each other. He can see that she’s being pulled into a life much like he had… obligation, expectation, duty. He didn’t like that her wings appeared even more clipped than his own, so he shows her what it means to be free as they run off together for an adventure in Venice.
But even as they part, Reed knows he has to have her. He can’t let her go… the sad part though, is that she is entering into an arranged marriage. A marriage she has no choice in… but must choose for the good of her country and her family. For Nami isn’t just some high society woman… she’s royalty.
Despite this, Piper and Julien encourage Reed to follow his heart and claim the love he feels for Nami… but is it too late? Will she already be married to her Prince?
I absolutely loved this story. Loved it! Adored it! Every step of the way I was willing Nami to put her duty aside and take Reed… but when she is trapped in the worst possible situation with an abomination for a husband you wonder how is is going to be able to salvage the situation and save Nami from her fate.
This has everything you want from a good romance… lots of hot sex, erotic encounters, goodies, baddies… baddies that turn out to be goodies… ups, downs, twists and revelations… it’s all there in this book. As for Reed… he’s just one of the most sublime book boyfriends you could wish for! One of the main attractions is that he cares so deeply and fully and once he gives his heart he commits. He’s determined not to lose Nami like he lost Piper and he is resolute in winning her back from Tanek the Terrible. Boo hiss!!
It’s almost like a modern day Aladdin… except Reed is far from poor, in fact quite the opposite… but the concept… the marrying for social conditioning and maintaining birthrights fits the same story. Married off to an evil monster to continue a strong bloodline but neglecting everything that marriage should be about.
The ending is perfect… just what I wanted and it’s obvious that the author wanted these two to find their way to each other in-spite of every obstacle they faced. Wholeheartedly recommend this book… brilliant!

Great storyline, but seriously!!!
SPOILER:
I loved the storyline (was thinking small parts had been ripped from Roman Holiday even before it was mentioned!!) but seriously when Reed first rescues the princesses from the Palace why on earth would he take them back to his hotel room?!? He didn't strike me as otherwise dumb, so I'm not sure I found that bit at all believable.
Glad to see Tanek get his just desserts, although I would've liked a scene where we got to see him as the prison bitch being buggered by the worst prisoner imaginable to get him back for what he inflicted on our heroine.
I read this book as part of my Kindle Unlimited subscription (free book but I pay £7.99 a month for the subscription)

Sadness, happiness, heartache and happiness
What an emotional rollercoaster! Reed's story...a life after Piper. Amazing storyline. Good characters. Villain....cannot have a good story without a villain. Not in boy, what a despicable villain he is. Enjoyed this series. An early writing by this author.

Exciting
Reed is a businessman. Nami is a Princess. When they meet, they are both trying to escape some part of their lives if only for a short time. They have quite an adventurous journey to travel. Making it through could be hazardous.

There was just something about Reed from Sinful Desires that makes him lovable. I felt bad for Reed that his family controlled every aspect of his life, he lost Piper and Reed just had enough and left. Going to Europe to figure his life out, Reed never expected to meet Nami. The chemistry between Nami and Reed were off the charts scorching hot. Nami and Reed never thought they would feel more for each other but have but, it could. Ever last could it? I can't wait to see what happens next

I love Reed. I feel that it seems that he can never catch a break. Wanting to be away from his family, so he goes of a long vacation meets Nami and instantly falls for her as she does with him. She knows they can be together because she is a Princess. Reed goes back home since his family says there is a situation going on but Reed never gives up on Nami. Reed will do everything he can to find her and make her his. But will it be too late? What Reed finds out is heart breaking for him but when all is lost will there be some hope for him to get what he wants. Can't wait to see what happens next

Another great book by Ms Parker!!
I haven't read Piper's book to know what really happened with Piper and Reed, but I'll be headed over to Amazon to find Sinful Desires next. Since this was a spin off for Reed's character.

Princess Nami was studying abroad in the US and has graduated and as a present her parents King and Queen of Saja allow her a European vacation before being married off in an arranged marriage. However while rebelling a little on her mini vacation she meets Reed and sparks fly! What started out a meaningless hook up turns into a whirlwind adventure! Feeling come out, promises are made and broken and the Princess makes a very bad decision!
All in all, I read through these so quickly at the end of A Wicked Lie I had to come leave a review. 5 very well earned stars!!

Giving up everything for the one you love?? Yes, I truly must say this series shows that Reed gives up everything for the woman that changes his life. This series had me turning the pages quickly to see just how he would prove himself for love. The banter between Nami and Reed is felt through the pages and the love scenes are hot. Because this love is so forbidden you can't but want them to be together. You have to love Reed's tenacity when it comes his heart.

Could not believe
I wanted to know what happened to Reed Stirling. I love him in the other book because I knew deep down he was a good guy. This was an amazing story. It drew me in from the beginning and kept me. I will be reading this story many more times because these characters were so appealing. So happy Reed and Nami found each other and he kept fighting for her M.S. Parker, how do you do it?

Great series
Always love M S Parker her books are always a great read and this is no exception. The storyline is excellent and full of twists and turns, great romance hot sexy scenes and strong characters a perfect combination.

Good
While I enjoyed the previous book, this one was a bit of a disappointment. The writing is great with only a few grammatical issues but the premise of the story is pure fairytale ala Cinderella. If you like fairytales, then this the one for you.

Great story
Reed and Kami's story was great. I will say for my own preference I like Julian and Piper's story in Sinful Desires a bit better, but this was a great Romance with hot sex, suspense and loved the fact that Kami was a princess and all that entailed.

I just loved every bit .
I loved every bit and piece of this collection. I even loved the bonuses. I bought the bonus collections also. It was amazing.
