Isolated island, mysterious deaths, creepy children in the walls... what's not to like? A lot apparently... specifically the 2/3 of the book solely describing characters' actions. If the author had spent less time wondering "Should Rosanna turn right or left?" and more time on the plot and explaining ANYTHING (besides spoiler camera steals souls of children and... that's it...), then maybe the story could have lived up to its creepy summary. But right now, the scariest part of Trangressions Cycle: The Mothers is the cover.
