This book is the catalog from an exhibit titled the same name, a collection of objects - useful, beautiful, mundane, hand-crafted, well-worn, or otherwise imbued with soul. Some of the contributors are also excellent writers and so tell a compelling story about their chosen token, others are simply a description of the image. Several objects are books, that compel you to go find the title.
As a person invested in the quality and longevity of items, I find this catalog riveting. Borrowing from ideas of Shinto, or perhaps just conversation around inspiration for the creative process, this lovely paperback obliges you to evaluate your own keepsakes and paraphernalia.
