Dark Vengeance #3

Revolution For Vengeance

Valerie Carter has been released from The Rock to find herself as the figurehead of the Rebellion. She must return to Olympus, the capital planet of the Pantheon, yet again, to convince the Legion rank and file to join their cause. How can she do this when she is responsible for the greatest tragedy in their 1,500 year history?
Only if she can reclaim the name of the Battleborn and prove herself worthy of their allegiance would they agree to follow her. There will be no more hiding. Soon everyone in the Pantheon will know her name and face.
With the might of Shadow Company, the skills of the Crew and support of Hanna and Deni, Valerie will fight for the Manual men and women. She will fight for their rights against the Privileged.
Even with this immense responsibility riding on her shoulders, she has but one goal. She will find the man responsible for the deaths of her family and she will have her vengeance.

Valerie Carter, genetically engineered super soldier turned vengeful rebel, continues her quest for vengeance for the murder of her family, and finds herself also driven by the need for justice and fairness in their widely unequal society where the privileged make the rules, break the laws and take all of the wealth. She has her rebel friends at her side and the loyalty of her former comrades in arms to call on as she sets about righting the wrongs of society.

Revolution for Vengeance is the satisfying final book in the Dark Vengeance trilogy. The pace is fast and engrossing and the conclusion feels right and complete. Occasionally the fast pace made me need to go back a few pages to pick up on small but relevant details I had skimmed over – my fault for wanting to rush to find out what happens next!

Valerie remains a driven character and very much the main character as I felt that Hanna and Demi were left slightly more in the background in this book. However, her focus has diverted slightly from pure vengeance, and has become more involved with changing the social inequality that was responsible for the murder of her family, and less about her need for pure vengeance against the person responsible.

I really enjoyed this book and would recommend Revolution for Vengeance to people who have read Reason for Vengeance and Crusade for Vengeance and to fans of classic Sci-Fi novels.

Ok, so I got all 3 books and finished them all within 4 days. This series was great for a first for an Author. The only issues I have are some of the story lines seem cut off/short with gaping plot holes.

Overall this was a 4/5 series for me. Plenty of areas to work on but it was a good read that didn't allow me to put the book down.

From beginning to end I thought this series was a great space opera/science fiction story. The characters were very well written and in this last book in particular, I thought the author excelled at evoking quite a bit of emotion. I enjoyed how the scope of the story changes and grows throughout each book. This, to me, was entirely believable. Revolution sits simmering over time, waiting for that one act that is going to ignite it into a full blown movement. This is where you find some of the greatest names in history. The pacing throughout the story was spot on. When you read the series you can feel the growing momentum and anticipate the outcome, but it doesn't happen too quickly. The only place where I perhaps would have enjoyed a little more lead-up was within the Legion ranks itself. I can imagine that decisions as to which way to side would be hardest for this group. On the whole, this series was well written and a great read and I'm happy that I ventured across it.

Good series

Again some editing problems that keep this series from being 5 stars. I would recommend this series though as I enjoyed the story.
