This was just so much fun! Doing all the routes (3 main ones that split up in many little ones and then come back in the end). I think my favourite would be the Medieval one.

The last one in Gravity Falls books, though considering one ending, I am hoping that sequel will really come true and isn't just a false message (I would be terribly sad if it was).

The book is all about finding the one time-key. The key to ultimate treasure. The key can be found in 3 places, so this book has 3 main routes, Medieval Times, Future, Wild West. Of course, you can also pick to stay at home, but then the story is just over. Each route eventually connects to the ending part. There are lots of endings to be found, good and bad ones, and it was so much fun to just find them all and see what happens in each one of them. Some are just death (it isn't said as much, but you can guess that if you get engulfed in Dragon flames that one just doesn't survive that), others are them getting stuck forever and ever, then there are ones in which they just give up, or stay at that time-part. And then there are more endings even beyond that. Believe me, you will never get bored with this one.

I loved the 3 routes, and I loved how each of them was a complete story. As I said at the beginning the Medieval one was definitely my favourite. Followed by Wild West, and then the Future. The best part of the Future was definitely the race.

There are also cameos from other characters, either because of Gravity Falls stuff happening, or because they have a counter-part in that era.

Mabel and Dipper, and of course Blendin are having the adventures of a life-time, and I just had a big laugh at all they found and all they encountered.

It was quite a journey to get through all the routes, luckily I had a chart ready, my boyfriend and I love making those for these kind of books. And this way I couldn't get lost or lose my place in where in the book I was.

There is also art/illustrations. I loved those, they are the art also used in the tv-show.

This book was definitely awesome, I laughed, I cheered, I groaned (at puns), I choose my way through this adventure! Yay for Gravity Falls, yay for Mabel and Dipper.

I would definitely recommend this book to everyone. Be sure to watch the show as well though, as there are some spoilers to the show, but also regarding the character Blendin.

Dipper and Mabel are off on a new adventure searching for Time Pirate treasure with Blendin. In this choose-your-own-adventure story, you control where they go and what they do, hopefully leading to a happy ending. But if you choose the wrong path, the twins will end up lost in time.

This is such a fun addition to the Gravity Falls cartoon universe! I really loved all the wacky adventures. You can choose to go to the Old West, to a Medieval castle, or into the future to face off against the Time Baby. Whichever path you choose, you are sure to have a weird and wild adventure!

There were two places in this story where you are asked to make a moral choice, to seek vengeance or not, and to cheat in a race or not. But each time, if you choose the moral option, the narrative just laughs at your "silly" choice and forces you back into the storyline where you seek vengeance and cheat. I guess it was supposed to be funny, but it felt wrong to me.

This book was awesome!! I definitely enjoyed reading through all the different routes and endings. My personal favorite is the Medieval Era with Mabel giving the dragon therapy. It made me laugh MDHSNSNSNSNSNS

I’d definitely recommend this book to any Gravity Falls fan who wants to revisit the Mystery Twins and familiar characters.

This is a trimmed down version of my review, to view the full review visit The Book Ramble.

In this choose your own adventure story, Dipper and Mabel team up with Blendin Blandin to find the greatest treasure of all time – the Time Pirates’ Treasure. A series of choices will lead the reader and the team to either the future, medieval times, or the wild west. The team faces bandits, deranged miners, dragons, knights, and the Time Pirates themselves in this crazy, non-canon tale.

I really love Gravity Falls it was one of my favourite shows when it was still on, so I jumped at the chance to experience some more adventures with Dipper and Mabel. The best part of this book was that there really were just a ton of adventures to go on. Unfortunately I am not crazy about choose your own adventure stories because they’re just a pile of stress and confusion for me, but I think this is great fun for younger readers.

The whole adventure is really fun. I liked the options that were given, and I read every single path and every single option. There weren’t any that were significantly better than others, it was consistently good across the board. I think my favourite might have been the future stuff just because a lot of funny stuff came out of that.

I do recommend this book to fans of the series, I’ll definitely to passing it along to my friends.

If you're a fan of "Gravity Falls" and are craving another (albeit non-canon) adventure with the Pines Twins... well, this will definitely give you what you want! There are essentially three different stories (Medieval, Future, and Old West), so it feels like you get three bonus episodes. Of course, there are many, many different ways each story can go--but with only one true ending. (And of course I chose every option, even the clearly wrong ones, because... more "Gravity Falls" fun!) This book is full of both the fun of choice and the tongue-in-cheek and sometimes-dark humor that fans of the show love. I chuckled out loud many times while reading this story. The characters are written perfectly to how they are in the show; you can't read this book without hearing their voices in each line of dialogue! Honestly, this book was just a blast... and just made me wish, once again, for a season three. *le sigh*

I saw this on display at the library and I just had to check it out. It was cute! Not as good as the actual show, of course, but some of the jokes and whatnot really fit in with the general feel.

The main thing that excited me was that one of the endings had a coded message, and when I worked it out there was a weblink leading to an AXOLOTL (ehhh?) and a mysterious, cryptic poem about Bill Cypher and that's worth the price of admission tbh (maybe spoilers? kind of? not really) http://disneyxd.disney.com/gravity-fa...

So yeah. Come for the wacky time-travel adventures, stay for the axolotl and strangely sad cryptic poetry.

...

Also there's an ending where Dipper marries a donkey. So, there's that.

I'm not one to hand out 5 stars very often on here, but this was a very fun read and I can't imagine any fan of the show wouldn't enjoy it. I loved the inclusion of illustrations and the worn look that each of the pages has. Also, I think choose your own adventure books are very fun and there should be more of them in this world for varying audiences.

Everyone loves to reference Star Wars, but the fact that they heavily paid homage to The Phantom Menace in particular in one section put this over the edge into a 5 star rating for me.

I really liked the TV show, and this book does nothing for it. It's pretty stupid. I read through two or three story lines before giving up...I just didn't care enough to read it several more times to fine the correct ending. Good for people who like silly and stupid stories. The choose your own adventure is fun, but the story is dumb.

I read this with my sister during "sister time" (it's a thing we do on Saturdays) and it was lots of fun! I'd recommend it exactly for that, a fun activity with a younger sibling (or cousin) who likes the Gravity Falls series.

Such a fun read. I took two passes through it. I’m happy to see that the “Choose Your Own Adventure” style of books are still being created.

Any recommendations on similarly fun reads of this kind of book?

pra mim a parte mais legal do livro foi o formato de rpg (ou rpb hehe), mas a história em si não é tão boa, claramente não foi escrita pelo alex hirsch (o que não seria um problema se não destoace tanto do tom original de gravity falls)

A fun and silly book! I initially got this as a gift for a friend. However, I admitted to them with a little guilt that I couldn't help myself from reading it first. Fun stuff. I miss classical choose your own adventure books. There needs to be more or these.

This book is well written both as a collection of short stories, and as a chose your own adventure book. The characters stay true to their T.V.selves no matter what choices they make, and the stories are all fun and varied. I enjoyed that no matter which of the three major branches you can take the story in the begging that you could always end up at the true ending. There were time when you would finish a story and wind up back a previous choice without it feeling tacked on or cheapened. This was a very fun romp, and definite recommendation for anyone who likes Gravity Falls or Chose your own adventure books.

Also there is one hidden code and one cannon secret hidden inside one of the endings...

As a big Gravity Falls fan, I really enjoyed this book. It felt like stepping back into another silly and funny adventure with Dipper and Mabel, almost like getting a bonus episode after season two. I loved how the story referenced episodes from the show and gave me that “season 3” feeling I’ve always wanted. I finished it a bit too quickly though, because for some reason I kept choosing the right options on the first try. I might reread it and purposely pick the wrong answers just to see how the story could have changed. Overall, it was a really fun and nostalgic read, and it honestly felt like experiencing Gravity Falls all over again.

I like choose your own adventures a lot, especially growing up. Fond memories in the library with books like that. With that said, as a fan of both Gravity Falls and "CYOA" books, I give this 2 thumbs up. Creative, silly, and entertaining! Since it is geared towards a younger audience, it took me very little time to finish all the different paths in it. I like the humor of some of the outcomes, but that's all I will say *no spoilers*! If you or your child likes Gravity Falls, this is a must-read!

This was a lot of fun. The book is full of the classic "Gravity Falls" charm and humor, with a self-awareness that's hard to resist. With the three main stories, each with dozens of path choices within, this book is a LOT of story content. This isn't one of those kids' books you'll breeze through in an hour. That said, it feels like a quick read just because it's so fun and fast-paced. Bonus: original artwork to go with every choice you make.

Not as great as the Canon stuff but still really fun! I liked the time shenanigans and how all the different choices/timelines had references in other choices/timelines. It kinda read like a show script in places (descriptions on sounds and voices, or discriptions of visual jokes) which kinda made it easier to picture as the show? Lot of fourth wall type jokes too. Overall a great read and a fun end to my Gravity Fall reads.

One element of my 2018 Summer Reading Challenge was to read a 'choose your own adventure' book. My son got this one for Christmas, and since I'm also a fan of Gravity Falls, I figured it fit the bill perfectly. And I was right - the twins' personalities come through in the book, and the situations they found themselves in were just as crazy as the ones on the TV show. A very entertaining read.
