Biden at his verbally vapid worst is at his all-time best inBiden Time. This collection of the current VP's most memorably moronic or misfired quotes over the last forty-plus years paints a picture of a man notoriously at odds with saying what he means. Since 2008, Biden, as U.S. vice president, has served at the pleasure of President Barack Obama. At times the pleasure has been all ours as we await the next inevitable Biden faux pas. Chock-full of QR codes, Biden Time takes directly to video clips of Uncle Joe spouting his brand of rhetoric reminiscent of the classic gems we've heard before."
i love Joe Biden. I love the fact that most of his "speeches" are done with cards instead of a teleprompter, and the fact that he makes mistakes, loses his place and speaks off the cuff. So, it's kind of hard for me to like this book, which makes fun or nit picks every thing. Biden says six months instead of six years when talking about his senate seat; does the author really think Biden believes he held that seat for 6 months? On a multi-state campaign he calls Ohio Iowa...it's acceptable to me, by anyone to make that mistake. And then there's the time Biden called Dr. Paper, Dr. Pepper instead....totally human. Much of this book is about the same kinds of mistakes and I just didn't find any humor in it, which I thought was the reason for this book. However or should I say but....I laughed out loud, several times in fact when reading about the time he called Neal Smith his old butt buddy! Hilarious! It turns out that Biden was a stutterer when he was a child and maybe (hopefully) he regressed and it was actually my old bud..buddy that came out of Biden's mouth!!
The ultra conservative author of this book used this format to ridicule Joe Biden for his errors in speeches. Although he is stating facts, they may have been taken out of context. The author reminds me of a schoolyard bully.
