This review is for ANNA LOWE'S Desert Moon.
WOW what a collection of AMAZING stories by some AMAZING authors.... I have previously read a few of the books within this boxset, which I LOVED & can't wait to read the ones I haven't read yet.
Hero (Wolves of Angels Rest, book 1)

I loved this book, I was quickly thrust into the story & it was over before I knew what happened. Man I love that in a book, even in a quick read like 'Hero'.
Kane is coming home from the war afer escaping small town life. Maddison felt a pull to returning to where it all began. A chance meeting on Kane's first night home & so many secrets to keep from Maddie, keeping her safe from himself & others.... but when the Mating Moon rises the war between want & need stop....

I finished reading Temptation, Gabriel's story... this man had it easy, I'm not completely sure why he waitied so long??
Gabriel has known his true mate for 6 years, but she was too young & he wanted her to be the best that she could be. That meant Joy went away to college, away from Gabriel & her family...
I could understand Gabirel's hesitation for not taking Joy as his mate 6 years prior, but I really felt for Joy... Gabriel not accepting the connection between them & making Joy feel like there was nothing there between them...

I finished Iron today & what a story it is! I was enthralled in the story I was reading, sucked into the pain of Iron & his choices about not mating with his true mate Bella.
Iron has been keeping his distance from his true mate Bella, he's known her since they were both young, but he doesn't want to bring her into the world of shifters. Wanting only whats best for her, he decides to ignore the mating pull. Bella has decided to finally have her man & with the Mating Moon up it's now or never....
I really loved the push & pull that was all of Iron & Bella's story, Bella is strong & just wants what she's only ever wanted.... all she needs to do is convince a very stubbon wolf.
Enforcer's Heart (Stratton Wolves, book 3)

WOW what an introduction to Mina's work, I was quickly lost in the story. Even though this isn't the first book in the series, I was able to understand all that was happening. LOVED it & have added the rest of the series to my TBR.
Desert Moon (The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch, book 1)

Lana's returning to Twin Moon Ranch 12 years after catching the sent, the Arizona desert calls to her in ways her home doesn't. Ty is next in line for the Alpha position & he's feeling all the stress that comes with being Alpha & not having a true mate, about 12 years ago Ty scents his mate but she's no longer around.
I loved how Anna brought the characters together, we get amazing details, desciptions & back stories. Also the interaction between Lana & Ty, all the dancing around one another & sassy back chatting from Lana, also knowing what an Alpha needs in his mate.... True mates are rare & hard to find, if you don't find your true mate you drain the life from the women you choose to take as mate instead, they don't last long. This is unique in the true mates department. I can't wait for book 2 of the series.

Red Fever (BBW Fairy Tale Shorts, book 1)

Don't you just love when an author takes a fairytale/ nursery rhyme & changes it?? Makes it have paranormal characters?? Makes it into a steamy, hot read?? Yes or no, I can't deny that Viola has re-vamped Red Ridding Hood to the point of it where it doesn't read like the original anymore.
'Red Fever' is the first in Viola's "Fairy Tail Shorts" series, I enjoyed this fast, steamy read that had me thinking of Red Ridding Hood in a different way to when I was younger. You felt sorry for Rose, trying to escape the clutches of her detestable, drunkard fiance... The power of Viola's words drew you into the tale I had wiplash when I had finished. I wish there was more to the tale, I can't wait for what comes next in the series.

Desert Moon is book one in The Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch by Anna Lowe. I am reading this series out of order and each book can stand-a-lone.
Ty, an Alpha and son of an Alpha. He is bossy, busy, sexy, and wounded in a way that only his true mate can see. I liked Ty.
Lana, daughter of an Alpha. She knows how the Alphas work and she wants nothing to do with an Alpha even if it is her true mate. She is sexy, smart, strong willed, and independent. I liked Lana.
ALowe is an awesome writer. I was pulled into the characters, plot, and world from the first to the last page. I could not put Desert Moon down. I love how the author pulled me into the storyline and connected me to the characters. I become so engrossed in the authors characters; that I felt everything they felt whether they were happy, sad, frustrated, etc. The emotions are so real and the world is unique. I also like how the shifters are portrayed. We are also given a great conflict on more then one front with the feud and rouges.
Ty and Lana are a perfect couple. They complemented each other and when they connected the sex was passionate and sensual. Destained mates are rare and to find one is something you fight to keep and protect. The wolf side knows it’s destained mate, but the human side will struggle with life’s conflicts and emotions before they come around.
Desert Moon was fantastic, the storyline was gripping, and the characters are captivating. I look forward to more in this series. I am riveted and blown away.

I wasn’t entirely impressed by Tempted By the Pack. I enjoyed the idea of it, but it just felt like it could of been executed better. Not much of a begging or ending. Felt like the book need more, but as short stories go it’s a nice read especially after a heavy hitter.
The characters in this book felt a little flat. The Breaux brothers are intriguing and hot, but we don’t get much on them, I understand they will each get their own book, but it would be nice to have more background. I like Lark, she is independent and strong willed, but it was hard to picture her switching from one to two to more men. The sex scenes were good. They did not overtake the book. As for the plot well not a whole lot. The Pack has to find their fated mates on a blue moon. Their is a little conflict with vampires, but not much background is explained on this.
I got Tempted By the Pack free on Amazon. I’ll pick up the following ones if they become free, otherwise I’m not interested enough in paying for them.

A good enjoyable read but I will say this is my least favourite of them due to the crudity used, made me cringe and spoilt it for me.
Iron is an idiot male who nearly lost the best thing in his life due to hanging onto his childhood mummy issues. His dad was in the wrong, not him.
Isabella is a smart woman and knowing she is Iron’s mate and he doesn't want her is bad enough but finding out he is going to mate another woman is the last straw.
Bella tells Iron he claims her or she finds someone else.
The crudity comes in with one sex scene and Bella being called and referring to herself as a B**ch. Just NO, did not add to the story for me as I have heard this used too much in a derogatory fashion. I understand the context it is used in in this book but bad memories.
The plot was pretty set but the other characters we meet from the pack are lovely and all have great stories to be told.
Be aware these are short stories and I did not pay the current asking price.

12 years have passed since Lana first visited the ranch with her grandmother. When she was there, she kept scenting the most amazing smell but could not pin it down. She thought she had found her mate but no luck.
Ty has been pining for his mate ever since he came home from a trip and smelt her scent on the ranch. He has never been sure if it was a figment of his imagination and was under a lot of stress as the Alpha heir. His father had already tried to force an arranged mating and was giving Ty hassle.
When Lana arrives with her grandmother for a visit again she knows Ty is her mate but he ignores her and fights against his wolf as Lana is a Dixon, his father’s enemy.
When Lana is put into danger by a pack member will Ty see sense and claim his mate, even if she is a Dixon?
Trouble is brewing in the background for the pack.

I went into this book familiar with 4 of the authors and the series included. Each book can be rad as a standalone but hopefully they will lead you to a new series. You absolutely c can't go wrong with this book or these authors.

This was an awesome box that has a lot of my favorite authors. I will review each story individually.
Forbidden by Elle Thorne... This is the first book of n a new After Dark Series and this time we get Rafe's story and we are going to Italy. Jax wants to get away from her life. This is a great story and has my favorite kind of shifters wolves. We do get to see other characters from the last series and it was good to see them but wow Rafe was just wow!!
Tempted by the Pack by Anne Marsh.... Rafe and his brothers are in the need of mates and on a blue moon he is lead to the door of Lark and believes that she is his mate. When Lark learns that she can choose one or all of the brothers she is a little overwhelmed but knows in the end what she wants and what is right for her. This was a short read but was great all the same.
Temptation ( Grey Wolves Rising) by Emma Storm.... After being turned away six years ago Joy left to go to college and when she comes home to put her past behind her so she move to Miami permanently Gabe decides that he has waited long enough and now he can have his mate. This is a novella and the first in the Grey Wolves Rising series with no cliffhanger and a HEA.
Red Fever (A Werewolf BBW Fairy Tale) by Viola Rivard... This is the first book in a new series but each book is a stand alone. This is the new twist of the old tale of little red riding hood. Rose just wants to be left alone, not forced to marry so she decides to escape to her grandmother's house. Of course like the original story she comes across obstacles on her way. Will she get to her grandmothers and also be able to find true love or will she be married against her will? This story does end with a HEA. This is a great story and I can't wait to see what Viola has next for us in this new series.
Iron ( Blue Collar Wolves) by Ronin Winters... First book in the Blue Collar Wovles and is a standalone with no cliffhanger and has a HEA. Image meeting your one true love when you were in the first grade but feel that you can never be with that person. Iron has loved Bella for years but knows she is destined for something greater but Bella knows what she wants and what she wants is Iron. She will not let his stubbornness stop him and what Bella wants Bella gets.
Desert Moon by Anna Lowe... Ty is the next Alpha of his pack and isn't know for diplomacy just for being obeyed but this all changes when he meets his mate Lana. Lana is only in Twin Moons to help her grandmother then she wants to go back home. Lana is use to dealing with Alphas but she won't let anyone push her around or force her to do anything. Ty and Lana are mates but there are others who don't want these two to be together and it gets worse when the pack learns who is Lana's father. This book is the first in the series but has an HEA and the following books are about other couples, but there is a novella that is the companion to this story.
Hero (Wolves of Angels Rest) by Elsa Jade... Coming home after years away, Kane returns so he can because me alpha of his pack. Madde has also returned and is seeking a place to belong. When these two long lost lovers see each other again their chemistry explodes and they can't keep away from each other even though they try. Kane must find a mate and he believes that Maddie can't be his but his wolf and his heart has other ideas. These two have a lot to overcome and when a hunter sets its sight on them hey must come together to survive. This is the first book in this series and we get to meet the other two heroes in the books to come. This story does have a HEA and a continuing storyline.

Ce is strong and doesn't let the fact that she is human at least for now stop her from going toe to toe with Reilly and amp tone else who gets in her way. I was glad that Reilly finally found true love after the craziness that he has gone through.

Forbidden by Elle Thorne... This is the first book of n a new After Dark Series and this time we get Rafe's story and we are going to Italy. Jax wants to get away from her life. This is a great story and has my favorite kind of shifters wolves. We do get to see other characters from the last series and it was good to see them but wow Rafe was just wow!!
Tempted by the Pack by Anne Marsh.... Rafe and his brothers are in the need of mates and on a blue moon he is lead to the door of Lark and believes that she is his mate. When Lark learns that she can choose one or all of the brothers she is a little overwhelmed but knows in the end what she wants and what is right for her. This was a short read but was great all the same.
Temptation ( Grey Wolves Rising) by Emma Storm.... After being turned away six years ago Joy left to go to college and when she comes home to put her past behind her so she move to Miami permanently Gabe decides that he has waited long enough and now he can have his mate. This is a novella and the first in the Grey Wolves Rising series with no cliffhanger and a HEA.
Red Fever (A Werewolf BBW Fairy Tale) by Viola Rivard... This is the first book in a new series but each book is a stand alone. This is the new twist of the old tale of little red riding hood. Rose just wants to be left alone, not forced to marry so she decides to escape to her grandmother's house. Of course like the original story she comes across obstacles on her way. Will she get to her grandmothers and also be able to find true love or will she be married against her will? This story does end with a HEA. This is a great story and I can't wait to see what Viola has next for us in this new series.
Iron ( Blue Collar Wolves) by Ronin Winters... First book in the Blue Collar Wovles and is a standalone with no cliffhanger and has a HEA. Image meeting your one true love when you were in the first grade but feel that you can never be with that person. Iron has loved Bella for years but knows she is destined for something greater but Bella knows what she wants and what she wants is Iron. She will not let his stubbornness stop him and what Bella wants Bella gets.
Desert Moon by Anna Lowe... Ty is the next Alpha of his pack and isn't know for diplomacy just for being obeyed but this all changes when he meets his mate Lana. Lana is only in Twin Moons to help her grandmother then she wants to go back home. Lana is use to dealing with Alphas but she won't let anyone push her around or force her to do anything. Ty and Lana are mates but there are others who don't want these two to be together and it gets worse when the pack learns who is Lana's father. This book is the first in the series but has an HEA and the following books are about other couples, but there is a novella that is the companion to this story.
Hero (Wolves of Angels Rest) by Elsa Jade... Coming home after years away, Kane returns so he can because me alpha of his pack. Madde has also returned and is seeking a place to belong. When these two long lost lovers see each other again their chemistry explodes and they can't keep away from each other even though they try. Kane must find a mate and he believes that Maddie can't be his but his wolf and his heart has other ideas. These two have a lot to overcome and when a hunter sets its sight on them hey must come together to survive. This is the first book in this series and we get to meet the other two heroes in the books to come. This story does have a HEA and a continuing storyline.

Hero by Elsa Jade ;
this is a great short read, Kane is a werewolf who left his quiet town to enlist but now he's back and all his feelings for his first real love come flooding back especially when he sees her. This has some great characters with brilliant humour and the story is filled with a great balance of everything.
Forbidden by Ellie Thorne;
This is about Rafe and he is still feeling raw when Vax and Callie arrive home as he still thought Callie should be with him but his tiger didn't agree, so when he meets Jax who his tiger wants and this is where it gets funny, sassy, stubborn, protective and oh sooo good, you won't be disappointed.
Temptation by Emma Storm;
you have wolves who first met when Joy had ran out of gas after taking her mum's car for a midnight drive, she fell in love with this older man but Gabriel knew she need to experience life before he took her for his mate. this story takes you through their emotions while getting to know them and the other characters, great read.

this is a great story about the legends of what lives deep in the Bayou, Lark is a lonely hard working girl who is trying to keep hold of the only thing left of her grandma's, Rafer and his brothers are waiting for the blue moon to guide them to find him and his brothers their mate whether she takes one of them or all of them, he's hoping it's Lark, he has been watching, stalking and hoping she will be the one. this is brilliant with great plot and characters that you can't help liking the mysteriousness of them all.

These days enforcing the peace and working out in his gym occupy his time; Clara Callahan nickname Ce is a sassy cop, and definitely someone you don't want to mess with.
While on duty Ce has the misfortune of being bitten by a rogue werewolf, and now she is in horrific danger. Ce is sent to the Stratton Werewolf Pack for protection. Max, Alpha of the Stratton Pack-puts Riley in charge of protecting her.
Mina's quality and smoothness of her writing is superb. She manages to mix sentiment, humor, seduction, life threatening incidents into a captivating story. The use of vivid descriptions lure the reader into the story and hold your interest till the end. The characters have unique personalities and are engaging in all aspects.

FORBIDDEN (Never After Dark) by Elle Thorne -- 4 stars
This was better than I expected. At first, I expected some weird menage between Rafe, his brother and Callie, but I'm glad that Rafe found a girl of his own. It was very believable, at least in the none paranormal aspects, but of course things did seem a bit rushed between Rafe and Jax, but that's to be expected for a short story. All in all, it wasn't a waste of time.
TEMPTED BY THE PACK (Blue Moon Brides) by Anne Marsh -- 0 stars
Wasn't a fan at all. Yes, it's fiction and all, but I find it very cheesy to say that wolves would share a mate. Wolves mate for life. I'm think it would make sure sense to have them be a pride of lions or something.
TEMPTATION (Grey Wolves Rising) by Emma Storm -- 3 stars
One of the better ones in this book, but I thought that Joy tried to hard to have him and leave him. It would have been better if she just blew him off entirely. Cute, quick read though.

To begin with, the synopsis wasn't even accurate to go with the book. Rose was traveling to her grandmothers in a red cloak (a bad attempt at Red Riding Hood?) in an attempt to get away from her husband to be. He catches up to her when she sights Ronan the first time, as a human. Ronan is unsure about having a human mate but decides he has to have her. Saving her, he brings her back to his den in the mountain where they start their life together. It would have been cuter if the epilogue hadn't ruined it. She was whiny and needy and insecure all of a sudden because she was pregnant.
IRON (Blue Collar Wolves) by Ronin Winters -- 2 stars
Why would you disregard your true mate just because she doesn't know about wolves and knowingly mate a female that isn't yours? Dumb. But of course, he ends up with her in the end. The time line shifted around a bit and wasn't confusing somewhat.

Lana and Ty make a good couple. That Audrey is a wench though, trying to stir up trouble. And Daddy all made because the woman he loved left him for another wolf - guess it wasn't meant to be dude, suck it up.

I am always glad to read one of these sets of stories as they have helped me discover some great new authors.
There are a lot of great stories here to read. These are stories about meeting their mates and trying to make it all work. Some of them have an easier time of it than others. I enjoyed all the stories. The chemistry is there and they have to work on building the trust to make it a real relationship. The stories are a good length and allow for character development. Some of my favorites have a good sense of humor about it all too.
TEMPTED BY THE PACK by Anne Marsh is a very interesting menage story about a group of brothers looking for their mate during the blue moon in Louisiana. It has a lot of darkness in it but also hope for the future.

Ronan had very few interactions with humans so when the scent of her mate turns out to be a human he almost turns away. Rose has been sold off by her brother to be the wife of a very repulsive man. In her attempt to escape her fate and go to her grandmother’s house said man decides to go with her. But she spotted a man overlooking her and wished for him in some ways. This is a very well written and entertaining story to read.

Ronan had very few interactions with humans so when the scent of her mate turns out to be a human he almost turns away. Rose has been sold off by her brother to be the wife of a very repulsive man. In her attempt to escape her fate and go to her grandmother’s house said man decides to go with her. But she spotted a man overlooking her and wished for him in some ways. This is a very well written and entertaining story to read.

A great collection of stories by 8 different authors. I highly recommend this set. I found 3 of my favorite authors in this set. Which made it a plus for me. I did also find 2 new authors that I will continue to following.

Now there happens to be a beautiful woman, early 30's a little younger then him, with them.Lana is back to Arizona to settle her grandmother in her new home, then return to her clan back east,she had swore not to every come back after the trip when she was20, and thought she caught the scent of her mate but never found the man belonging to the scent and it ruined her for no one ever compared in all these years. Now Ty is dealing with rogue shifters, hard headed,self reliance Lana Dixion(his possible life mate),his father's returning (who hates Lana's Family) , a kid brother and human farmers . An interesting new look at shifters
This, the last story in the series, was a good short story but, I would enjoy seeing it filled out and turned into a novel or a novella. Where did Rose come from? I'd like to hear more about her family. There was a nice build-up about her grandmother but it was very disappointing when she never became a part of the story.
It would have been nice to read a little about Ronan's background, too. .The way the story was written like he was just born when he woke with a new smell in the air that he knew was his mate. Ok, how did he know that what he was smelling was his mate
If you're looking for a quick read and you enjoy reading about the world of shifters, you'll probably enjoy the the new outlook. There's no wolf pack in this one.

This book is a great start to a new series. We meet Ty and Lana, shifters who each scented their mate years ago, yet never actually met. Unknowingly, they're about to get their second chance. Of course, things can't be easy for them. I love that Lana is a strong woman as Ty needs that in a mate. Ty, an alpha, has a lot of responsibility weighing on him and Lana balances that out for him. I'm looking forward to more of the series and seeing what the future holds for this pack.

I really enjoyed this start to an awesome series. The author gifted me this for an honest review. Parts of it I wanted to throw my kindle across the room because of the characters attitudes or things they did, but I had to read it all. I had to know what happened and I felt like I was falling in love with the characters. I loved the love story and the twists involved. Amazing book and I cannot wait for the 2nd one.
