I’m not sure what I expected when I purchased this book, a feel-good, pump-me-up prose, maybe? Well, it may not have started out that way but it sure ended that way! I spent my drive home yesterday repeating prayers of deliverance from the schemes of the enemy, who comes to steal, kill and destroy. My drive home tonight was praying along with Mr. Eckhardt the beautiful prayer to be a Psalm 112 believer and claiming the promises within: UNSHAKEABLE, blessed, steadfast, righteous, and generous. Blessed are those who fear the Lord!
Unfortunately, the need for deliverance is something we all need from time to time and will continue to need until that wonderful day. Knowledge of this is power in the Lord! Knowing we need it allows us get free from whatever the enemy throws at us to try and shake us up.
I listened to this book in audio format but it is one I will have at my disposal in print as well. Not only will the prayers be used in my own life, but they will be prayers that I use to help others who find themselves in the battles against that enemy called the devil.

This is my absolute favorite book of his. I remember he did this series at church and it changed my life forever. This series wrecked my life and change the way I interacted with others. It challenged me to seek help in dealing with the wounds and trauma of my past. From that series, I sought Jesus + therapy, the Bible + the couch. Life-changing.

Definitely a book for those interested in deliverance and understanding spiritual bondage, with a focus on bondage to rejection and being in bondage to rebellion. The first section was hard for me to get through, but it was very interesting how he broke down both the spirit of rejection and the spirit of rebellion and how they manifest as other behaviors. You could really see how those are two dominant spirits that can bring about a host of other issues and deeply impact a person’s personality. There were also prayers later in the book that were biblically sound and great for anyone wanting to break free from bondage.

John Eckhardt had done a masterful job in presenting how double minded thinking is one of the greatest advantages that the enemy can capitalize on causing saints to become shaken in their faith. This book is for anyone who has endured moments where faith has been tested and shook by the plots and schemes of the enemy. This is for both seasoned and new babe Christians.

To get to the root of bad circumstances, we think is bad luck, and paralyzing fear, read this book. Buried in our families are secrets that live in the dark and fester. Bring them to live and live not just free, but free indeed.

To the Point

Learning about Spiritual Warfare as opened my eyes at the consistent danger we are in. We blame others and yet these others are just being used to do the devil’s work. It is so subtle that it is difficult to point the finger on who is really responsible.

This is another book that was given to me as a gift from my mother. Talking about double-mindedness, and the spirits of rejection, rebellion and the root of bitterness, this book will open your eyes to a lot that you or people you know might be dealing with. Especially for single men/ women who want to get married, this book will open "our" eyes to see a person and what they are dealing with before getting too deep with them.

Un buen libro.

Creo que la guerra espiritual es más real de lo que realmente imaginamos o pensamos, creo firmemente que deberíamos de pasar de la teoría a la práctica.
