This is the fourth book in the Angels Rest series. It is a novella. This is for adults only due to the steamy content. You can read this as a stand alone book though that’s not what I recommend. I recommend reading the series in order because it makes the characters richer and more developed, and you will understand them more :)
This one is different from the first three books, but all the characters are still part of it. Of course this is Thunder and Aunt Betsy’s story. The story is has plenty of action and steamy scenes mixed with humor that had me chuckling while reading. I was pulled in and didn’t stop until the end. I definitely hope the characters continue to make appearance in future books because I like them all. Can’t wait to see who is next :)
I recommend this series to any shifter lover because there are a great read :) If I were you, I’d check out the whole collection because I’ve enjoyed all the ones I’ve read thus far.

This is going to have spoilers for the twist, please don't read the spoiler tags if you don't want to know it!
Oh my, all I could hear in my head after that reveal was, I just couldn't take it seriously at all!
Seriously though this book actually has a quote that sums up my feelings on shifter books,
I LOVE shifter books, but I avoid ones that are to do with So this just wasn't my cup of tea.
Even before the reveal I wasn't enjoying this. I like my shifter books to have certain things that this book just didn't have. Most importantly this didn't have the type of hero I need in a shifter romance. He wasn't possessive, or sexy, and he didn't chase her. Sure he didn't push her away, but he didn't chase her and he kept thinking how he couldn't take her for a mate. I'm still not sure why? Because he couldn't shift into his animal easily for fear he got discovered? Which has nothing to do with having a mate, so I just don't get it. After their first night together, it was always her asking him out! No, just no. He wasn't very impressive in the protecting department either, he almost gets killed by a human!
So yeah, not my kind of shifter book.

I absolutely loved this steamy paranormal romance that has something unexpected and magical which makes it extra special.
'Warrior' is the fourth book in the fantastic Wolves of Angels Rest series of paranormal romances by Elsa Jade and is also part of the multi-author Mating Season Collection of stand alone short stories and novellas. I was given a copy by the author in exchange for an honest review and I absolutely loved it. This series just keeps getting better and better. I really can't wait for the next one.
Thunder Cole is only in Angels Rest to help his distant cousins, the Villalobos family, deal with their Kingdom Guard problem, then he'll move on again. He doesn't stay in one place very long and believing he's pretty much the last of his kind, he's just muddling through until they become extinct having never found anyone who could be his true mate. Until Elizabeth Rowan comes around the back of Gypsy's roadhouse intent on facing the werewolves she thinks are there. Still, the Villalobos guys have all found their true mates recently, so maybe there's a chance for him, especially given his reaction to her.
Elizabeth Rowan, known as Bets, pretty much gave up on a life of her own when she was just 16 years old to look after her 6 year old niece, Darling, known as Dare, who was abandoned by her mother, then her father was killed. In order to make a living that would keep the authorities away and their little family together, Bets set herself up as a 'fake' psychic known as Auntie Fate and has made a pretty decent living. Now she's 35 years old, Dare has moved in with her 'boyfriend' Rafael Villalobos and Bets thinks of herself as being a spinster. By eavesdropping, she knows about the Mesa Diablo werewolf pack, but thinks it's too late for her to find love. Until she meets Thunder Cole.
Trying not to give any spoilers here, but what starts out as Thunder distracting Bets from her goal and them having a one-night stand becomes so much more as it turns into two nights and the need to be with each other, and then an enemy of the pack shows up....
I loved this terrific story of two lonely beings who think their chance for love has passed them by and suddenly discover that there are always chances but they need to grab on with both hands. I thought Thunder was a wolf until almost the end of the book, but I was so wrong. I'm not going to tell you what kind of shifter he is, that would give away a spoiler but let's just say he's a mythical creature, a warrior of the shifter world, but not the one that immediately springs to mind, and I never even guessed until all was finally revealed. You'll just have to read the book. And what a fantastic book it is too. Although written as a stand alone, there are references and characters which have appeared in the previous books, and you would get a lot more out of the story if you also read them. They are all 5 star reads and well worth it.

I was given a copy of 'Warrior' by Elsa Jade, in exchange for an honest review.
OMG I wish I could live in Angels Rest, I loved reading about this small, in the middle of nowhere town. I quickly devoured this book, I couldn't put it down & didn't want it to end... especially with the twist introduced in this one. I would advise you to read this series from the start, you wouldn't want to miss out on the storyline.
Thunder is in town to help his cousins at Angels Rest, he's always on the move, never staying long in one place, always alone.... a chance meeting with Dare's aunt, soon has him thinking differently.
Like I said before this story has a very interesting twist at the end, I absolutely loved it. The realisation that Dare's aunt has near the end is selfless, but what a couragous women, I think she has become my favourite in this series.

Ms. Jade get you involved with the community of Angels Rest, a majority of the towns people haven't a clue that there are Werewolves there in there peaceful little town. In Book 3 "Rogue" we read about
Rafe Villalobos and Darling Rowen being mates.
Elizabeth Rowen who went by Aunt Betsy and Bets made her living as a physic. She was very good physic, fake but good. Darling's Aunt Betsy gave up everything to raise her after her mother left her and her father who was Betsy's brother just would drink and drive. Now that Dare was grown up and basically had another life Betsy was lonely. Until she met Thunder Cole a very tall very handsome man. Not only that but he made her feel things she hasn't in a long time. He made her live. But like most men at Angels Rest Thunder had a secret, he didn't think Bets would stay with him when she found out. I was gifted this ARC for an honest and truthful review.

I am addicted to the Wolves of Angels Rest, but I have to say that I think this is the best one right now. Exactly where Elsa Jade pulled this one from, I don't know, but what a wonderful mind she has. I think this is the first book I have read with this type of shifter, I don't ever remember reading any other books with this type in it anyway. Wouldn't it be great if more where found?
I love Thunder. What a wonderful name and appropriate. He just sounds so lonely and so in need of love and hope.

Thunder Cole may just be the last of his kind, very powerful, but very lonely. He never stays in one place, always the nomad until he meets Darling's Aunt Betsy. He dares not hope, but he will take what she gives him if only for a few days. Will he be able to move on though?
Betsy never in her wildest dreams imagined to partake of such a delicious morsel and she doesn't want to stop nibbling. Deep down she knows the feast will end, so she is going to enjoy it as long as she can.
So magical is all I can say...I love Angels Rest and it's inhabitants.

I was so excited when I was asked if I would like to read and review this book..the book being a gift.
Meet Thunder Cole, a rare and last of his kind shifter. He has come to Angel's Rest to help the werewolves with the hunter problem, that is until he spies a woman walking toward the back door of the bar.
Elizabeth Rowan, also known as Betsy, Bets, but known mostly for being "Aunty Fate", online physic. After raising her niece Dare, who now is married/mated to one of the werewolves, she finds herself wondering about what to do now that Dare no longer lives with her.

While lost in her thoughts as she decides to go grab a drink at the local bar. She comes upon a man sitting in the corner of the back porch of the bar. He is hidden in the shadows, the only thing she really see is the red hot cherry of his smoke.
A shared smoke and drink, Betsy finds herself on the back of a motorcycle, thighs hugging the man who was hidden in the corner, just to have a taste of his huckleberry wine..hehehe
What happens that night will change both their paths in life.
Elsa Jade takes you on wild ride with Thunder and Betsy's silly stubbornness, heated and steamy passion encounters, but most importantly, Elsa Jade has the ability to grab the readers from the first page and have them enthralled in the story till the very end. She keeps building and building the suspense till your own senses are on high alert.
What is the secret that is Thunder Cole? and what problems will could cause? Will there be a OMG moment in the book? Hell yes, but you are gonna have to go grab this one yourself for the rest of the story.

This is my favorite book in the Wolves of Angel's Rest so far, and its not even about a wolf. When asked what he is, Thunder answers, "Just a man." But he's so much more. And it's not just the vocabulary or the humor in the story, but the cadence as well. It all comes together to make this a standalone novella that I would read over and over again. And give ten stars if possible.
Thunder has joined the pack in fighting against the evil of the Kingdom Guard. He recognizes "Bets" when he meets her as Darling' s aunt, the local online psychic. As they talk, the banter leads to a ride into the desert on his Commando to sample a bottle of huckleberry wine.
Elizabeth, aka "Bets" and "Auntie Fate", was given Darling when Bets was sixteen and Darling was six. Now at thirty five, Bets is an empty nester. Darling is now a wolf shifter and living with her shifter boyfriend, though they don't know that Bets knows their secret. On a whim she has decided to go to the local roadhouse, but is stopped by a stranger sitting on the porch. Thunder is a very tall man with a strong energy field, and a joint he's willing to share, as well as a fresh bottle of beer. And before she knows it, she's on an adventure, riding on the back of his bike, headed to his VW bus and a bottle of wine. And when she asks what he is, he always responds, "Just a man."

Elizabeth Rowan is a Tarot card reader and pseudo psychic. She doesn’t really believe the mumbo jumbo she spouts for clients but it pays the bills. One night as she gets to Gypsy’s, the local watering hole in Angel’s rest, she is interrupted by a very deep, very masculine voice. The voice tells her he hasn’t been in Angel’s Rest for a long time. When the voice emerges from the shadows, Elizabeth is taken aback by the very handsome man, named Thunder Cole. He tells her he is a cousin of Rafe Villalobos, her niece’s mate. Of course, she is not supposed to know they are shifters but what the heck. After a night of reckless abandon at his place, she has the feeling he could make her feel a lot more than she is ready for, and so she tells herself this is just a passing thing…no big deal. But when she is taken as a pawn in the war between a radical group intent on destroying all shifters, the stakes have just been raised. Thunder has found a spirit in her that has unlocked something in him he thought was gone forever…and he will not lose her now.

This is the next book in this series and Dare's aunt, Elizabeth, AKA Betsy AKA, Bets, AKA Auntie Fate and Rafe's distant cousin Thunder Cole. Bets believes that werewolves exist and her niece is now one but she doesn't know for sure and she wants a shifter of her own or at least for awhile. Thunder comes to help his cousin out against their human enemies and finds Bets coming to the bar where the shifters are making plans. They are intrigued with each other from the start. Bets knows that Thunder is not a wolf but she knows he is special. Thunder is actually one of few of his kind that are left and he is worried that Bets won't want him after she learns his secrets. The Kingdom Guard is still lurking and everyone must keep each other safe. There is at least one more story in this arc and I can't wait to read it.

Else Jade did a great job with this fourth book in the series. Elizabeth Rowan is the aunt to Darling Rowan who was just turned by her mate Rafe. She isn't supposed to know about werewolves but found out by listening around corners. She meets Thunder who is a distant relative of Rafe's in town to help out temporarily and the scenes start to heat up. I love the mysteriousness of Thunder. The story never actually states what shifter he is only that he is one until Elizabeth gets kidnapped by an known enemy. The bringing back of a long forgotten shifter myth in The Peoples history was ingenious. I wont tell you what type - you have to read the book to find out.

This is the fourth book in the series of The Wolves of Angels Rest and a very well written story line. Elizabeth Rowan isn't looking for anything but a little fun when she come face to face with Thunder Cole outside of the bar. Coming to help his relatives Thunder Cole is just looking to help and then get out of town until he sees Elizabeth Rowan and now he tries to resist the pull of her.
I loved the story line flow in the book. It was smooth sailing from start to finish. Each book keeps getting better then the next book.

Wow, wish Angels Rest was a real place as well as the shifters.
Thunder is so alpha, tall, strong, mysterious. Bets is so sweet, even if people think she's a little flaky. I loved the honesty between the two people. Both know what they want and think it is only for short time. Fate has a habit of meddling when you least expect it to.
When Finley kidnapped Bets we find out just how rare a breed Thunder is. While Bets may be a physic who doesn't believe in magic, she is open to accept Thunder for who and what he is.
Hot, sexy and mysterious mythical shifters, a good read that leaves you wanting more.

Bets doesn't know what's going on in Angel Rest, but she know something up. When she over hears her niece talking about werewolves and that she is one now as well. Determined to find out what's going on she heads to Gypsies to talk to Dare. Thunder is keeping watch outside of Gypsies when he meets Bets and that when he knew he could not let her in while their having a meeting. He doesn't think she should be caught up in the mess with the Kingdom Guard and he wants to keep her out of it. Until the they come a knocking on Bets door and now he has to find his mate before it's too late. He doesn't know if she'll except him as his mate but he's willing to try.

Warrior, book 4) Thunder rides into town to help with the "hunter" problems, and meets the Psychic, Elizabeth. He knows almost right away she's a Mate, but she is clueless to the shifters being real. They have passionate sex, and get to know each other. Thunder is mysterious, and a last of his kind, magical T-Bird. Very different take. There have been attacks on the town by a rogue and hunters. We have a kidnapping, rescue, and big reveal. Deep characters, interesting plot, and super sexiness make this series wonderful.

Oh my you thought wolf shifters were hot, then you need to come meet Thunder. He isn't a wolf shifter and I won't spoil it by spilling but wow is he hot hot hot... And I love that Elsa brought this older hot shifter to us and matched him up with Betsy, Dares aunt. This book is action packed and full of mystery, and oh yeah some hot sex and some hot sexy scenes that will wet your panties. This is a must read and you will not regret it

What an awesome fun story. In book 4 Elizabeth ( auntie fate) meets Thunder Cole. He came back to town go help with Kingdom Guard.
Elizabeth sparks a very deep interest in him and his beast. But when she becomes in danger, he will stop at nothing to get her back and keep her safe.
I love this story it was an awesome add to the series. I can't wait for the next one to come out!

A different kind of shifter enters the story!!
Kindle Unlimited book. Wow this one was really good!! Loved the added shifter and the story. Nice to see something different from the other stories. She's Dare's aunt who raised her. Older and wiser. He's a stranger who has returned to help out the pack. His different and she wants him, even if he can't stay. Like I said this was a good read and deserves 5 stars!!!

this book was amazing. I love the twist in this one and what he is was a shocker. I love this whole series and this one is just as good. I love that we bring her aunt into the fold and that she gets her own shifter. I hope they take out the bad guys soon. I also hope more shifters show up.

Really like this series and am looking forward to more. Thunder comes in to help the pack with their Kingdom Guard problem. Aunt Betsy is feeling a little lonely since Dare left her and is now with Rafe. Thunder and Betsy meet up and get their HEA!!! Loved reading about Betsy and thought Thunder was GREAT!!! Looking to read Lost Wolf next!

Thunder has become my favorite of the wolves of Angels Rest books so far and the first time I have read about a shifter of this kind and love him. The chemistry between Thunder and Bets is steamy, romantic and very intense and so worth reading again.
Can't wait to see where Elsa Jade takes us from here and looking forward to her next book.
