Great new series in the lovely mountains of Montana
Candice was born in beautiful Montana, but at the age of 13 tragedy forced her to move to the city of Seattle with her uncle..This never changed her love of the lovely scenery of her birth place and she made a point to go there every year. While on vacation there she witnessed a terrible incident and that put in her sight the gorgeous Game Warden Wyatt. What's a cowboy to do when faced with such a beauty, tell her to save a horse? Bear Warden Wyatt is on the case that Candice witnessed and he hopes it is solved soon, or he may have to choose between his intended mate and his job.

Candice Gray who was this beautiful curvy woman who lived in the city loved coming back to a place like Montana to be in the mountains. It is one way she loved to spend her vacations. She would forget the city life, go out into the woods, enjoy the outdoors, and paint. She never dreamed that on the first day she would witness a murder.
Shifters had just came out and there were groups springing up that hated shifters. It was still surprising to see one murdered before your eyes
Wyatt McCloud was taken back by this curvy woman before him. His bear was excited as well to have found their fated mate. Wyatt knew that since he was going to be the one to investigate the murder that he needed to keep it professional since she was a witness in the case.
Can Wyatt keep everything total professional? What happens when her life is in danger as well? This was a great story. Loved each part of the story.

When Candice witnesses the murder of a bear shifter whilst camping she suddenly finds her own life in danger but fortunately, Wyatt the game warden, is more than happy to put her under his protection, in fact his bear insists on it and his protection isn't all he wants Candice under !
This has a good storyline but it has the potential to be better if it went into a bit more depth and detail. A short read but an enjoyable one.

cohesive. well plotted. good characters. HEA. a shifter is murdered. who did it and why. the witness can't identify the mirderers so why are they trying to kill her. handsome game warden to the rescue.

As with anything new, humans have extreme feelings on shifters. Hate groups are forming and shifters can be in danger. Wyatt is a game warden bear shifter. He hasn’t let anyone know he is a shifter as of yet. He is aiding in a murder investigation of a bear shifter. The witness, Candice is a tourist on a weeklong campout. She is now a target for the murderers. Wyatt meets Candace and realizes she is his mate.
>I loved the way Wyatt needed to provide for Candace – food, shelter and clothing. I did think it was weird that Candace would buy more than the necessities on Wyatt’s dime when she still didn’t know he was her mate. There is a small mystery and some danger to Candice that makes Wyatt go all alpha crazy and is very fun to see.

BEAR WITNESS is the first book in the Bear Wardens series. I believe they will each stand on their own as the wardens each find their fated mate on Fate Mountain.
Murder, mystery, and sexy shifters make this a perfect quick afternoon read. I loved both Candice and Wyatt, individually and as a couple.
I thought it was a wonderful statement on human prejudices and insecurities. Another story that emphasizes that communication can open our minds and hearts.
I’m looking forward to more from this series.

This is Wyatt and Candice's story . While in the woods Candice hears a shot so she goes to check it out since there is no hunting here and she comes upon a a shot bear who is a werebear . The Warden comes to talk with her and knows right away that she is his mate but also knows he needs to keep her safe and to find out what happened here . After taking her statement he gives her a ride to her camp site but there is still danger and trouble to Candice ! This is well written and strongly recommended !!

Candice is vacationing in Montana and while camping witnesses an illegal shooting of a bear. The problem is that the near that was shot is really a shifter. Wyatt is the game warden and a bear shifter. Shifters has just come out a month previous. She is now being hunted.down by the killers. Wyatt is having it just as bad, Candice is his dates mate and he has not come out as a shifter yet. They will have to fight for their lives of the killers find her.

This is a romantic shifter romance. Game Warden Wyatt is also a bear shifter and he is tasked to protect Candice who he discovers is his mate. Candice was a witness to a murder of a bear shifter and her life is in danger. Wyatt will protect her with his life if he has to. During their time together, Candice also realizes that Wyatt is special to her. This is a well written book with lots of action and a happy ending.

A keeper!
The perfect shifter lovers story! Hot! Sexy! With the dynamics of murder and kidnapping involved providing excitement and mystery. Bear Witness is one book difficult to put down. And, I absolutely loved the characters, honest, giving and committed. This is one in my new library collection I'm keeping, and look toward to reading the others by this series!

This book is typical of the Fate Mountain bears. Something bad will happen, in this case murder. Bear shifter meets woman and recognizes her as his mate. Girl resists, then gets steamy. Danger comes to their door, and they solve the problem. Girl stays with bear shifter in Fate Mountain. I like these books, because they are all novella length and make for a happy afternoon read.

What a great book. From the unknown to the awareness of life of another species to the hatred of a lifeform because its new. I loved the way the whole story flowed and the HEA of the ending.

Sweet Romance
Despite the murder of a shifter, Wyatt was drawn to Candice. She was not immune to the warden either. Finally found a shifter story with this kind of outcome. Will definitely be reading the others in this series! Thank you Scarlett Grove!

Wonderfully written. Great mystery and storyline. I just surprised.she had.no.clue to him being a shifter till she was kidnapped. But the author wrote it in beautifully.

A nice and gentle love story. Liked the plot, and premise.
Would have given it a perfect score but the dialogue needs some refining. Everywhere else the words flowed, but when it came to the main characters it was choppy.

Wish I had known about these books before reading the Fate Mountain series. Explained some things. But still loved anyway. I find Scarlett's books easy to read and quite satisfying. Would recommend to anyone looking for a shortish shifter romance.
