The purpose of this book is to present a reasonable perspective on the issues pertaining to the use of nuclear energy. This is started by providing an introduction to the subject matter from a historical perspective. This analysis is then continued in the chapter that deals with the issue of nuclear was as a growing problem. In the chapter that follows, we look at the past and future promise of fast breeder reactors be a possible solution to the nuclear waste disposal problem. This is then followed with a chapter that discusses the problem associated with locations of possible fast breeder reactors. This then leads to a discussion of the need for research into the designing of more efficient and safer fast breeder reactor designs. Than this leads into a discussion of solutions that did not work. The last chapter of the book deals with the careful balance that must be kept in order to make use of a nuclear waste reduction based technology. The last two sections of this book deal with a list of recommended books to read and also a section about the author.
