Nothing Beats A Good Coffee - Never stand between a woman and her caffeine.
Elise Noble is an English rose with a few thorns who loves chocolate, sleep, and well-defined abs. Not hers, unfortunately. She lives near London with a horse who eats all her money and three dogs who eat everything else.
Elise writes real, gutsy heroines and flawed but swoon-worthy heroes in stories that mix mystery and mayhem, humour and happily-ever-afters.
This short book contains a bunch of little horror/thriller stories that are well written. I enjoyed each of them. Some I knew where the story would be going, others not so much. If you like small little thriller "ghost stories" then you'll like this book.
Interesting bundle of short stories… interesting storylines, great characters, excellent writing… definitely keeps you engaged. Just when you think you know where it’s going, surprise!! Hope you enjoy!!
Easy to read, short stories with a twist. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of a few typos that should have been picked up. If you can ignore that, the short stories were quite interesting, with a surprise twist ending. I have read most of Elise Noble's books and highly recommend her Blackwood series. I do prefer her full length novels.
An interesting collection of short stories, each an observation on an everyday situation with a twist. Dark at times but creepily down to earth, they certainly made me think twice about the people I encounter every day.
Recommended if you’re looking for an entertaining quick read, but I’d suggest you don’t open it in a coffee shop!
Wickedly Awesome Short Stories! It amazes me how Elise can get us cheering for the "bad" guy. Yes, these tales are twisted, but in a deliciously satisfying way! Nothing Beats A Good Coffee was my favorite, with Trick or Treat as a close second, but it was difficult to choose a favorite! Definitely worth reading!
Very clever short story book from Elise Noble full of interesting short reads with slightly horrific twists to the plot. I read it in a morning and it was brilliant. Another solid book from this author
Elise and her imagination are an amazing combination. Where she gets her ideas from, nobody knows. Another clever short read with a twist in every tale.
Read the Blackwood series, you’ll wonder why you hadn’t read them sooner
