Halfway through the book, I wondered how the author was going to resolve the conflict between our two main characters. My first thought was, "I hope she doesn't cop-out of creating actual character/plot development and have one of them die or something." Then I thought, "Nah, that would be such a cowardly move. She wouldn't do that."

I guess I thought too highly, haha. What a disappointing ending to an already disappointing series. It wasn't a good twist, it was a lazy one. Also, I desperately wanted to like the characters, but the ease to which they cheated on their significant others and lack of true character development/internal conflict was frustrating.

Two stars instead of one because there were some humorous moments, and it was reasonably fun. Thankfully, I received this set as a gift, so I didn't spend money on this series. The books were rather quick reads, so there wasn't that much time to be invested in a story with such a disappointing ending.

Worth reading? Maybe, it was fun and quick. But if it was any longer, or you were looking for an actual story worthwhile, leave this series on the shelves.
