Rate this book
Molly Maddison stands in the arms of Death, at the mercy of those who understand her world far better than she does. A creature of the night has her brother, but Molly will never allow her brother’s captor to take away the only family she has left even if that means damming the universe in the process.

For Molly nothing ever goes as planned. As the enigmatic Levi and the sensual guardian Damon vie for her body and soul, another secret of her past is revealed that just may shed some light on who and what Molly is along the part she is expected to play in this new world.

As the future unfolds, Molly comes face-to-face with soul shattering truth—about herself, her family, her best friend Jewels and Levi.

While trying to save her brother, Molly discovers new facts about her and now she and her team are in a tough situation and have to take crucial decisions. Can they trust her? Can she trust them? And what's going to happen with Levi now? Are they friends or enemies? Should they work together or kill each other? Should she follow her mind or her heart?

God, this hurt to be torn between the male that was good for me and the one who should have never been part of my life.

I literally cannot wait for the next part of the series!! This book is killing me with the cliffies, but I love these books! I love the characters, the dialogues, the connection that you build with each of them. We have new parts in the team and we lose some as well. I don't know what's going to happen, I have no idea how many books will be in this series, but I thought it was a trilogy and its not. Instead of getting answers, it's like we get a small sample of them and then new questions start pilling up.

I wish I had the next book right now, especially because I missed Levi's character in the previous books, watching only a couple of intense scenes with him and now I have a feeling there will be more Levi and Molly in the next one. I hope so anyway. I want them to get their HEA. I also want the rest of the characters to get theirs, Damon as well, but Molly belongs with Levi, in my humble opinion.

Clinging to him here and now, nothing else mattered; not the world, or the Gargoyles, or the Keepers that depended on me make things right. Not even Damon would make me want to give up the one that had been everything to me. My choice.

This Side of the Crypt is the third book in the Molly Maddison series by K A Young. I wouldn't recommend reading this book as a stand alone one because to understand the characters and their relationships with each other you really should read the first two books. You won't regret it because with each book the story gets more intense and exciting and leaves you impatient to read the next one in the series.

In this book Molly discovers new things about herself, things that to her horror, will change her relationship with Death and Sorrow forever. She gains an additional loyal protector. His character is so sweet and makes a wonderful addition to Molly's team. Together they need to stop the chaos that occurs when Molly throws caution to the wind and does what is necessary to try to save her brother from dying. Does she save him, is it worth the chaos that she causes? You will have to read the book to find out.

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and read it in one sitting. It's a fast paced story, quite deep in places, but has some light hearted moments too so you don't feel depressed about what is happening during those deep times. The author has written other series of books, all of which I have read and enjoyed, but this series by far is my favourite and I will be very sad when it comes to an end. It will be like losing friends when I have to say goodbye to Molly and her team.

I was given This Side of The Crypt by Lovers of Paranormal in an exchange of an honest review.

Throughout the series I believe I've made my love clear for Molly and her pals..

This third book is a category alone! I was engrossed by the pure, raw feeling that encircled me...

The love Molly has for Levi touches the center of romance idealism! By that I mean that Young has created a love between those two heroes that outweigh every destiny fate has set up on them...They are so determined to make it out of the battle alive and together that they work as one...

I don't really know what to say, my reaction can't be explained because even I who dislikes romance these days( believing it is false) found it astounding and fascinating watching those two...Their love is not forced ,it comes naturally, and that feeling is what I intend to seek in my life!!!

I would not recommend reading this as a stand alone book, because of the facts that follow from the books before and the knowledge you need to have for continuing with the series.

I am very excited and hopeful for the next book!!!!

This story was like being on a rollercoaster ride. I had no clue what would happen next. I loved it. Brodie coming into the mix added a fun and serious dimension to the tale. In this third book Molly’s powers are changing and growing, which makes for a fun read. She finds out more about herself and how it affects those around her. After reading book three, I feel like I know the characters more deeply. The one character I can’t figure out is Molly’s best friend Jewels. Is she good or bad? I just don’t know! As always, the ending is set up perfectly for the next book in the series. I am looking forward to finding out what is next for these characters. I think book 1 and 2 need to be read to know the background of the characters before starting. I received this book in exchange for an honest review LoP (Lovers of Paranormal).

Molly Maddison book three jumps straight in with adventure, sass and drama. From the moment you read the first page you will be on the edge of your seat unable to stop turning the pages to see what happens next in Molly's always entertaining escapades. Well done on another great read K.A. Young!! Five Stars

And the twists continue!

Molly is coming into herself but makes her own decisions to follow her own intuition, not what everyone tells her to do. One minute her friends are with her, then they are, then their not....Will someone just believe in her and stay loyal?

I received a free copy in exchange for an honest review (Lovers of Paranormal).

No no no no! Why the hell are you always ending it like this? Damn... I need the next book like I need the next breath! (Okay, maybe I was being a little dramatic there but still...)
I really enjoyed this book but as always there was too little Levi&Molly for my likes. Actually, too little Levi, period. I just love him to death (Ha! Pun intended).
Levi scares me a little but he can also be sweet and passionate. And I could never have enough of him.
Damon... as usual I didn't like him much. He annoys me most of the time.
I can't deny that the passionate interlude Molly and Damon had was really hot... but I'm still on Levi's team. What Molly and Levi share is special. And yeah, what can I say, I have a thing for Death. He fascinates me.
I don't know what to think about Brodie. For a while there I liked him... but then... yeah he fell in the same category as Damon: annoying. Actually, he even kinda creeped me out a little a couple of times.
I liked Jewels here.
So... as always for this series, the story was good and the characters amazing. I need more Levi&Molly time, so I'm hoping I'll get it in the next book. Please?
Makes me want to read all the books all over again just to get a massive dose of Levi.
The ending left me as usual hanging with my mouth open and wanting more more more and then some more, a lot more.
Really good read!

It turns out there's a lot more twist to the story which I'm so far okay with it but like I mentioned on my review on the last book. A love triangle bordering on a quadrangle (sort of) is not my type. Totally. If it weren't for how interesting the story was becoming despite that, I might have just skipped reading this book but I don't because it's still awesome for me.

But that one big revelation was something. It messed up their relationship. Although despite that Levi still loves Molly (although he never mentions the L-word). I'm not happy about that. It was Levi's fault but he has a good reason for it and even though it kind of ended, he is still there for Molly.

The ending was definitely a cliffhanger and I can't wait for the next book.

And please let Levi and Molly be together in the end. Fate just can't be that cruel because of their nature. There has to be a way around it. I have nothing against Damon but favor Levi more for Molly. Sorry Damon but I'm rooting for forbidden love and all that.

Oh man... Please tell me the next book will be coming out soon... I NEED to know what happens next!!!

How does one choose between the man you've loved almost your entire life and the man you feel an intense connection to that you just can't deny? How does one deal with the knowledge that you have to kill the man you love or he'll kill you?
Smh... I do not envy Molly Maddison in the slightest, although I'd be happy to take Damon off her hands for her... lol
This book is filled with so many revelations for Molly as she learns who and what she truly is, and what her role in the upcoming war is. But in true Molly fashion, she's got other plans... Let's just hope they don't get her killed...

I highly recommend this series (not just this book).

This whole series rocks

As any typical book hound knows , when you hit a good series you binge read. You don't sit the book down because you could miss what happens next. You don't try to read in front of the tv and you don't leave the book unattended for any length of time. This series is well written with a perfect balance of mystery , action, romance , paranormal activity, and sex. I will eagerly await the next book and hope she continues her path of surprises me with plot twists and awesomeness.

The Molly Maddison series feels more like a serialized story than a series of books. Each one ends abruptly like the end of a story or idea session where the writer says we'll pick up here next time. For that reason, when I finish one of the books I feel unsatisfied because the story has not been concluded--only delayed. I am not sure if I am engaged in the characters and story enough to continue paying for the installments necessary to get to the conclusion of the story.

Another amazing ride with so not normal Molly Maddsion. This girl has major issues and loves flirting with Death. I was so glad to have Jewels back instead of sorrow. This series is completley different and invigorating.. I so can not wait to see if she finds Death when she finds the spear.
