SCANDAL WITH A PRINCE
"Great food, great sex, exotic locale and royal scandals...Enjoy!" -- New York Times Bestselling Author Christina Dodd
A one night stand. A lifelong obsession.
One magical summer, Megan Hallberg met—and loved—Prince Stefano Barrali. But his royal duties took him home, and when she discovered she carried his child, she also discovered he was engaged…to a beautiful, worldly aristocrat.
Ten years later, Stefano runs into Megan at the grand opening of a Barcelona hotel, and it’s his every sensual fantasy come to life. His memory of the stunning blonde and their passionate summer has haunted his dreams, and a night under the stars gives him the perfect opportunity to reclaim the woman he thought lost to him.
Megan finds herself torn between passion with a prince and a fierce need to protect her daughter. Can the man who captured her heart so many years ago be her destiny…or her downfall?
HONEYMOON WITH A PRINCE
Passionate fantasy…or intimate betrayal?
After dumping her rich, lying louse of a fiancé, designer Kelly Chase opts to take her honeymoon solo. What better chance to nurse her wounds in solitude than two weeks of pre-paid beachfront bliss on the breathtaking Mediterranean island of Sarcaccia? Yet when she meets gorgeous local beach bum Massimo, solitude is suddenly less important than enjoying the company of an honest man … a man whose eyes reveal a private anguish.
Fresh from brutal combat, seeking privacy and a chance to heal, Prince Massimo Barrali is intrigued by the gorgeous American who fails to recognize him and treats him as an equal. He offers her dinner, but dinner quickly turns into a night of intense passion…until the police come knocking on the door of Kelly’s rented villa.
Kelly’s horror at the discovery her fiancé stole her honeymoon fund turns to humiliation when Massimo arrives to post her bail. Once again, she’s been deceived by a man who isn’t what he appears. But when Prince Massimo offers her a job at the royal palace and a chance to pay her debts, she can’t refuse. She hates that she’s forced to work with him, hates the desire that still burns between them, but how can she forget the secret torment she saw in him or their sensuous night under the stars?
SLOW TANGO WITH A PRINCE
** RITA Award Finalist **
Public figures, private anguish…and devastating secrets.
Tormented by the suicide of his ex-girlfriend, Sarcaccia’s crown prince Vittorio Barrali escapes the glare of the cameras by secretly trading places with his twin brother and traveling to Argentina. There, he nurses his wounds in private, mentally preparing to resume the role to which he was born, a role that doesn’t allow emotion to take precedence over duty.
With her television show facing possible cancellation, At Home Abroad host Emily Sinclair learns the guest for her Buenos Aires season finale is a no-show. Fearing for her employees’ careers—not to mention her own—she’s elated when a chance meeting in a café provides the perfect replacement. But when the dark, handsome man resists her invitation despite the electricity sizzling between them, her curiosity is piqued.
Nicole Burnham is the RITA award-winning author of over twenty novels, including the popular Royal Scandals series. For new release announcements, audio/ebook samples, and to receive a free copy of A ROYAL SCANDALS WEDDING, visit https://nicoleburnham.com/new-events/ --- NOTE FROM NICOLE: My Goodreads library is by no means comprehensive. I have thousands of books on my real (as opposed to my Goodreads) bookshelves. However, my Goodreads library only contains those books I'd give four or five stars and would recommend to friends without hesitation (and I haven't gotten around to listing all those yet.)
The ruling Barrali family of Sarcaccia are a force to be reckoned with but are not immune to scandal. In the first three books of this series we meet Prince Stefano, Prince Massimo and Crown Prince Vittorio and the women they love. Being a royal and falling in love with a royal is not without its challenges. However, love does conquer all and each couple get their HEA.
When Prince Stefano sees the woman he couldn't get off his mind for 10 years he's both surprised and pleased. But, he's in for a shock when Megan tells him he's the father of a 9 year old daughter. Stefano sets about getting to know his daughter and winning Megan's heart.
Prince Massimo returns to Sarcaccia from his tour of duty in Africa scarred both physically and mentally. He meets Kelly Chase, by chance and ends up offering her a job as well as a place to stay in the palace as she works. Relating for the first time the story of his injuries, Stefano realizes how much he loves this kind, honest, open and caring woman. An attempt to sabotage Massimo's opinion of Kelly causes a sidestep but in the end Stefano knows this woman is the one for him.
Crown Prince Vittorio escapes his duties and his country while reeling from a former girlfriend's suicide. Prince Alessandro steps into Vittorio's shoes so he can regroup. While in Buenos Aires, Vittorio agrees to appear on a TV show about expatriates searching for a new home to buy. Emily Sinclair, the show's host and co-executive producer is gracious, talented, driven and willing to go the extra mile to ensure the show is successful. Vittorio bares his soul to her without revealing his identity. When she finally realizes who he is, he rebuffs her after learning she once reported on royal gossip. Stepping back into his role as Crown Prince, Vittorio finds our how much he misses Emily and wants her in his life. He sets about making that happen.
All of these love stories were such a pleasure to read. The characters are charming and genuinely likeable. I fully intend to read the entire series.
I am a brand new reader of Nicole Burnham. Five days ago I started reading Scandal with a Prince (Royal Scandals Book 1); I am now on Book 4. I have thoroughly enjoyed reading each of the books so far. I have felt a myriad of emotions while reading these, sadness, empathy, joy, etc.; which tells you how good the writing is. I have had sleepless nights, waking up with the need to continue reading. Strong characters, beautiful settings, romance, and secrets grace every page. Enjoyable series; definite fan!
Sorry, but I quit reading these books because of the content in them. I do not read books that have swear words or any sexual content in them. If that is the type of books you like to read them this is the book for you. It is just not my taste.
I enjoyed all three stories, I liked the people in them, I thought the Queen was a very understanding mother, and it was it was nice ti think that she had a happy marriage. A good read.
