LIVE | The Third and Final Book in the best-selling NOLA Zombie series by Gillian Zane.

Alexis, Blake and Zach survived the zombie apocalypse but found a new enemy to fight.

Alexis has been taken and Zach and Blake are desperate to find her. The men are pretty certain they know who took Alexis, but finding them will be a daunting task. There are millions of places to hide in the swamps of Southern Louisiana but Zach and Blake will not stop until they’ve searched every one of them. Alexis will be returned to them if it’s the last thing they do. Falling back on their military training, the men have no choice but to succeed, or risk losing Alexis forever.

It’s a race against the clock…

The problem is that the group that took Alexis didn’t keep her. They sold her. She’s now the property of the Southern Clan, a fate worse than death. The undead still roam the streets of New Orleans. S-Island mourns the loss of one of its own and the NOLA Zombie series comes to a stunning conclusion. You don’t want to miss a second of this action-packed series ender…

Be warned, there will be monsters, living and dead, there will be very intense sex scenes, between two men and one woman, and there will be violence galore.

This series hooked me from the very beginning and I am so glad I was able to read them back to back and not be left waiting........

The story picks up with Blake pack and questions left surrounding how things will ever be normal with Alexis and Zach. I really have to admit that I hate Blake's ex Clara with a passion and what she does just proves why I hate her. The shit storms that results from what I consider the dumbest decision ever by Clara sends Blake and Zach into a tail-storm. The guys are left wondering what the heck happened and Alexis is just trying to live another day and return to her guys. I love Alexis even more after this installment as she has a serious pair of big girl panties -> or [2] guys with some serious balls she wants back to no matter what!! The best part of this installment is that we get [3] POV and it totally makes the book. The MMF scenes we get are really smoking hot and will leave you wet and wanting.

I am also so happy to report that the series isn't ending, but the other survivors get a chance at the share their stories!!

I'm ending this series on a 5 star note. These books had there hooks in me from the very beginning. I devoured them one right after the other. The author is extremely witty, funny as hell, and of course never made a mistake in error (or at least that I could tell). I am now a HUGE fan of her work. HUGE I tell you. I might add I have NEVER read an ending quite like this one, but it worked. I cannot tell you how it ended for the sake of surprise, but just know it was really good. If you enjoy a good Apocalypse story with a lot of shmexy angst. Don't hesitate. They are so easy to read as well. You just zoom right along.

So good, I loved it. Definitely worth five stars. It was fast paced with tons of action. I know this is the last book, but it kind of left things hanging at the end. I heard there will be a spin off series, so I am happy that there will be more zombies!!

I enjoyed this book and the series in general. I really liked how Alexis could save herself on her own and be smart about it.

I get why Live was mostly focused on getting Alexis out and the tactics and different moves that had to be made to find her but I found it a little long and I just wanted them to be reunited already. Also, I wish Clara would have suffered a little more instead of ... She kind of deserved it after all.

In this book, Alexis, Zach and Blake worked along fine even if the guys had to throw a punch or two before getting along. They love each other and they're like family. I was glad to find that the dynamic of their relationship worked.

I really liked the world created by this author, so I might read the next book even if it doesn't features Alexis Zach and Black as main characters.

I have long awaited the arrival of Live the third and final book in the NOLA Zombie series by Gillian Zane. This series has been one incredible roller-coaster ride of emotions from the beginning and I was absolutely terrified coming into the final installment of how the amazing Mrs. Zane was going to wrap it up.

Let me go ahead and put your mind to rest you have nothing to worry about as usual Gillian Zane delivers an incredibly stunning masterpiece that will keep you on the edge of your seat from the moment your eyes touch the page.

Live is not only captivating in it's compelling storyline with Alexis, Blake and Zach the dynamic between the three characters are nothing less than amazing and the fact that Gillian Zane can capture the reader and bring you in and make you feel the raw emotions and intensity from the beginning and throughout the entire story is a challenge in and of itself worthy of a nobel prize. We find ourselves in multiple points of view in this book which is great because it allows you to see through Blake, Alexis and Zach's eyes, capture their feelings of how they are processing what is going on around them in this new apocalyptic world.

We do see a lot of action in this book as well as suspense Gillian Zane is a mastermind that keeps you on the edge of your seat biting your finger nails wondering what is coming next. You will experience every emotion you can think of in this book right along with the characters anger, happiness, sadness you name it and you experience it. There is some witty humor and banter that is thrown in when you least expect it that will have you rolling my favorite quote from Zach was "Yeah, there are fucking dead people trying to eat me, but nothing is perfect." There are also times that make you absolutely want to cry but the balance was just right between the two.

It is quite evident that Gillian Zane put so much of herself in this book when she wrote it that it will catch you right from the beginning with its captivating raw honesty and emotional turmoil quite simply...Live by Gillian Zane was none other than absolutely brilliant I salute you my dear here's to an absolutely stunning conclusion in your very first novella series congratulations.

If you haven't downloaded or added this to your TBR list don't wait this book was absolutely amazing.

Live , NOLA zombies book 3 by Gillian Zane
I received this book from the author for an honest review.
I freaking love this series. I mean zombies, love triangle turned Ménage?? Uhm yes please!!
If you haven’t read book 1 or 2 then STOP!!!! Go back and read them before reading this review.
So our girl Lex was kidnapped by crazy Clara, the crazy ex wife of Blake. They get captured by the rednecks from book 2 who the group had a run in with. WELL the rednecks decide to trade the girls to the biker ganger they have heard “things about”. Y know like how they run guns, drugs and sex slavery on women.
Lex is a smart woman and she plays the submissive….lol right Lex submissive……to trick the bikers. She is “claimed” by the president of the club. Lex befriends Melinda and the two immediately start to plan an escape.
The guys are LOST!! They have been hunting their girl down and taking down anyone who stands in there way. They meet with some other military friendlies and join forces. This military unit wants the compound the bikers have for its lotion. They want to try and install some sort of government in the area.
Lemme tell ya, the book was great. The fighting was amazing. The loss of a dear friend was horrible. The escape was awesome. I look forward to the next installment of the series and what happens to the bikers now that Blake and Zach are on their way with the government behind them!!!

Mostly this trilogy would be a 4 if the 3 books were put together into 1 novel. I just finished and this 3rd installment was the least strong. She puts her kick ass protagonist in a vulnerable position and this just didn't work. This plot ploy to put her in this situation yet not, and then give her an out that is ... well. Kind of ruined the escape. Made the drag not worth the 3/5s of the book.
So the none working plot ploy made it drag and kept the guys away from her for more than 1/2 the book. For Blake and Zack and going out to find her was more interesting than the camp and capture. When they finally find her the romance is finalized which made it worth reading as it is the end of the storyline. The 3 together might have been bumped up to 4, but this one alone is 3. The others loose out because they are incomplete cliffhangers. Really they are one story.
Run 3.5 might have bumped up but the CH
Fight 3.75 would have bumped up but CH
Live 3 solid
So the serial (trilogy) altogether 3.

Last book for Lex, Zack, and Blake..

This is the last book about Lex, Zack, and Blake and I have to say, I'm sad to see their story come to an end. Though we'll see them in the upcoming books, it's still bittersweet. Alexis went through the ringer in this book but she pulled herself together and was her usual badass self. I loved that the three of them finally got over their issues and gave a relationship between them all a real chance.

The next book will be picking up where this one left off but the focus will be on another couple. I look forward to jumping back into the zombie world chaos.

This last installment in the—Nola Zombie Series, is the end of Alexis, Blake (barf), and Zach’s story. But fear not! The next 2 books have to do with the people in their group, so we will still see all 3 of our lovely couple! ^^

***TRIGGER WARNING***
This book has to do with slavery, abuse, almost rape, talk about rape, and the horrendous people (men) who treat women like cattle—or worse—and nothing more. Lucky for us, Alexis does get her revenge, eventually.
***

This book has Alexis separated for half of the book from Blake and Zach, so if you are not into hard core survival, and reading about horrendous situations that women can be put into, maybe do not read. Still a great read, still as fast paced, action packed, and hot as the first 2 books, just with more emotional baggage and fighting the living more then the dead in this one.

This review contains spoilers if you have not read the other books in the series. Again the author continues to tell us this book is about zombies however it is straight erotica. Our main character decides one man is not enough for her. I actually don't mind the storyline I just wish the author would not have tried to make this an apocalypse Tale. I think we hear about Zombies 5 minutes total in this book.

We finally get more then one POV and I couldn't be happier! I really think it helped me connect better with the characters and what was going on. A lot of action in this book which I found helped move the story further than any steamy scenes. This was the end for these main characters but I really do look forward to reading the other books on the series 4 stars #2OCCJD

Eh, not as good as 2
Still not big on her as a narrator. Story was good, but it is not phenomenal. Still not romance, but thiller yes. More human issues vs apocalyptic zombie issues, which I enjoyed because it really would be more human issues once locations were established. I will finish out the series, but the next 2 are about other characters, since these 3 are pretty much settled.

Please note this review may contain spoilers.

LIVE is the final book of the NOLA Zombie series and is a much larger book than the previous two. But when I say it's the final book, that might not be the case because at the end we got a snippet of JUSTICE which is called book four in the series. So perhaps what they mean when they say it's the final book is that it's the final book in Alexis's, Blake's and Zach's story. That would make sense because while those three get their HEA, the story is definitely not over and has been set up for what will either be book four in the series, or the first in a spin-off series. Either way, I'm looking forward to the next phase of this story.

LIVE is told in Alexis's, Blake's and Zach's POV, which was a little tricky at times, especially with the two guys. Most of the book is about Alexis's time in captivity and the boys mounting their rescue mission. We got a look inside the camp and learnt the true horrors of what goes on while it's run by the lowest forms of humanity. There's action, revenge, love and sex with two very hot men. What more could a girl ask for? While the men are hot, Alexis is my favourite character because she's tough, smart and cool under pressure. And she can kick some serious arse.

Alexis: They should know better, I was never one to wait around for a knight in shining armor. Fuck the saving, just show up after the fact and give me the happily-ever-after kiss. I'll take that.

This review was originally posted at The Book Nympho

Live is the end of is the end of Alexis' story but not the end of the series. Where books 1 and 2 are told from Alexis' POV, Live is told from Alexis, Blake and Zach's POVs. The change in POVs needed to happen because of Alexis' kidnapping. There were times she was out of it and away from the group so the story needed Blake and Zach's POVs to move the plot along. Plus it is nice to get into the guys' heads to see what they are thinking and feeling as the threesome becomes a "couple".

Live is full of action, gloomy times, and finally hot sexy times between the three main characters. But before the HEA for the three can happen you are put through some horrible things like women being sold as sex slaves, violence against those women, and the death of a well-liked member of the group (secondary character). I will let you know that the sexual violence against the women are off the page or little description so it wasn't hard to read (at least for me).

Now that Alexis' story is over I'm moving on to another character's story and see how the series story ARC continues and how Baby gets a HEA (I'm assuming she gets one). If you're a fan of The Walking Dead but wish there were sexy times ,you should check out this series. It has action, humor, snark and hot guys that know how to wield their tools, both the zombie killing kind and the bedroom kind. Also, there is kick-ass women characters as well.

When I read third and final book in this series, I almost cried!
Then I read the book. I'm still disappointed it's over.

Blake made it home to S-Island in book 2 #Fight. Alexis and Zach were together and things
were odd.
But Alexis proposed a solution; they just be together. Black, Zach, and Alexis.
Could the men do it? Could Alexis?

Before anything can happen, crazy Claire decided she was tired of Alexis getting in her way and tries to take her out. In the process both women find their way to a biker camp.
Women are traded for goods. Alexis is kept with the KingPin who is useless.
She comes up with a plan to rescue herself and any other women willing to escape with her.
Blake and Zach are planning too. They need to get their girl back.
Can they do it before she is killed or hurt?

This is another fast paced book, that keeps you on your toes and thinking.
What's going to happen? Can this work?

Excellent

I absolutely love how Alexis took control instead of letting it become out of control. I enjoyed the different POVs. I was pleasantly surprised by the change of events coming. This really made me love the characters more and feel great they stuck together. I'm still wondering about Clara though. I can't believe Alexis stood up for her... I'm still confused on why this was an ending when there are still more books coming. I understand it's not about that group but it still confused me because the story is the same just different characters.
