No one writes Rocker Romance like Karolyn James!
Jett, lead guitarist for Willow Son, wasn't an addict. He told the reporter, "I was never addicted. Never would be either. Just a bad decision and bad timing.” After losing their label, things were finally looking up. They had a new backer. Portis was a prick, but things were moving forward at least, but he needed a little something while they waited for the next step, something to fill that void. Unfortunately, Jett got caught making a buy and he'd lost the trust of his his band mates, his only family, and their backer.
Masie made a mistake and it cost her a shot at her dream. That dream was within her reach, but slipped right through her hands. On the bright side, now she got to work with her friend and her young dance students from time to time, but what paid the bills was her professional dancing alongside rock band Crutch Fail. Colin, lead vocalist for Crutch Fail, was lewd and drunk most of the time. Collectively, the band was crap, but with any luck, she might get noticed.
Jett and Masie meet late one night before the two bands head off together on tour. Jett is jammin' out some guitar work alone at the studio and Masie was there to pickup her bag she'd left. The sparks start flying between those two the moment they stare at each other, before it shatters. He'd probably never see her again, until . . . he gets the opportunity to see her again. He has his demons, she has hers. Somebody's got to give, someone has to break down the walls they've both build up.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, no one writes rocker romance like Karolyn James. She gives us a real back stage pass perspective, that just isn't equaled out there. Why is that? Because she's been there. Whether it's gains, riffs or telling how Willow Son writes theirs songs, it's all totally believable. I'm looking forward to the next in this series!!

The Loneliest Tour by Karolyn James is the 2nd Willow Son novel, a love story of Jett & Maisie. I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review & it was a captivating story. If your already a fan of Brothers of Rock, you know that Karolyn James writes about real people in the music world. If she's a new author to you, grab this novel today - you won't be disappointed.

Better than 1st book

Wow, loved this story could not put this down. I absolutely fell in love with Jett and his romantic side. This is a super sexy read. Loved their sizzling chemistry. He was charming Sexy and so persistent. I also loved that it was written from both their points of view. They were great characters and I had a good feel for both of them from the beginning and there was an excellent introduction to each of them.
This picks up where the first Willow Son left off so you should really read this in order to fully understand. Jett enjoyed how he felt when he took some of the pills, very relaxed. He wasn't addicted to them, and never had been or so he said, he just wanted to fill the void. The press was always waiting, wanting to catch sight of him one of the guitarist of Willow Sons coming out of the meetings he was required to attend as part of the deal to keep him out of jail. But the guitar helped him fill the void the most, he could just play and that was where he was heading, to the studio when he was picked up by their label and questioned about how he was doing and if he could handle a tour. So after learning of the good news of a tour he continues to the studio to practice.
Masie has always wanted to be a dancer on the big stage, she was close once but she messed up and lost it all. Although she had been teaching dance at a small school for girls she recently landed a Gig as a dancer for a new band Crutch Fail. They had been practicing with the band, her and the other three girls and she had left her keys at the studio, so she was on her way back to find them. When she entered the building she heard someone playing guitar and they could play, so she slowly walked through the building until she saw his wide, sexy body. Thinking he didn't know that she was there she just stayed and listened until he turned towards her and she saw his beautiful blue rich eyes. She knew who he was, and she was thrilled at meeting Jett a member of Willow Sons.
Jett is captivated by Masie, he finds her freaking beautiful, cool and down to earth with some really nice subtle curves. The next day at the party for the tour, Jett sees Masie and she is the lead singer Colin's, dancer of Crutch Fail. Watching her move sent jolts through his body. Seeing her hips and her legs moving with her hair let down, long and curly dancing almost on top of Colin he was Jealous. And they would be going on tour with each other. Has Jett found his new addiction? Will Masie make a mistake and lose her big chance again? Will Masie pick Colin, or Jett or Ian? You will have to read this to see what all goes down on this tour. Loved it! Highly Recommended!! Can't wait for the next installment.

So for the second book in the Willow Son series it just keeps getting better. These stories about rock stars from this author are never boring; far from it. They always seem fresh and have you always on the edge that you have to keep reading to see what will happen next for these bad boys of rock.
The second in the Willow Son series is about the troubled but very hot guitarist Jett. Jett ends up getting caught trying to buy some pills just to fill a void he feels. He is very insistent that it isn’t because he’s addicted to pills. Fame and fortune can help you in some of these issues as Jett doesn’t have to do jail time or any rehab stint. He just needs to do some meetings but for Jett the biggest help is his music. If he can just get a guitar in his hands and play, things seem to work themselves out. Plus it doesn’t hurt when the beautiful dancer for newcomer band, Crutch Fail, finds Jett doing just that; in the studio playing his guitar late at night with no one around except for Masie. Things seem to click for these two. After spending some time together Jett sees that Masie is a very special person. She wants to earn whatever comes her way and she actually has boundaries. Too bad no one told the lead singer of Crutch Fail this because Colin thinks that just because Masie is “his dancer” on stage that he can do whatever he likes with her. You can only imagine how things come to blow when Crutch Fail is the opening act to headliner Willow Son on tour. Colin actually does make Jett see red and comes to Masie’s defense different times with the crappy way Colin treats Masie. Even Jett’s other bandmate, Ryker, gets a good swing in on old Colin.
It was nice to see someone as nice as Masie with goals in life who is willing to work for what she has dreamed of which is dancing on a stage. Being Colin’s smutty dancer isn’t the end result for her, it is just a road that she goes down to help her career along. And Jett…how can you not fall in love with this guy? He is totally hot, a talented guitarist, very sweet when it comes to Masie, and has had a pretty tough road to go down to get to where he is now. Can you imagine the chemistry between the hot, sexy rock star and the beautiful and talented dancer? It is well worth your time to get caught up in these two and everything that they went through to make it to the place in which they feel they are finally “fulfilled”.

In this book we meet Masie and we get the whole story on Jett. In this book the question is asked can two lonely broken people find a way to repair one another? Masie is a dancer and when her original dream doesn't work out for her she agrees to take a gig dancing back up for a band called Crutch Fail. She knows they suck but it is a paying gig and for right now that is what she needs. She is hoping that this gig will introduce her to Portis and he will be able to use her dancing skills in other areas. Masie knows that she is a good dancer but she isn't looking for hand-outs she wants this to be done solely on her own merits and talent. However when one night she goes back to the studio to get her bag she happens to hear Jet playing on his guitar and it has her mesmerized. She knows she should just get her back and leave him alone but something rivets her there. Masie is cautious but there is something about Jett and she wants to know what is happening with them.
Jett has had enough of the press, the fans and everyone going over and over that one mistake. Does he know he was dumb for buying drugs that day? Yes is he an addict? No, all Jet wants is to make music and have everyone get off his back about it. So one night when he can't take anymore he hides out in the studio just him and his guitar trying to release all the built up trouble that is building within him, then he sees her. At first he thinks she is a reporter or an overzealous fan come to ask him more questions. However there is just something about her that calms him without her saying a word to him. When she does speak he knows that he has to see her again, really get to know her. But can he with everyone chasing after him for his story and to ask over and over again why he did it. He doesn't want to drag her into his drama but he does want her with him. Can Jett balance the two?
This is another amazing book in this series. This book shows that love can help heal old wounds and maybe even make sure there are no new ones. This is an amazing book and I want to tell you so much about it but as a reader I like a little mystery in my book not to find it out before I even get the whole book. I know you would enjoy this book as much as I have. It is a stand alone but I would recommend you reading Colby's book first just to understand a few of the references in this book.

Book two of the Willow Son Brothers of Rock series brings us the story of guitarist Jett and dancer Masie. Jett is in denial that he is addicted to pain killers. Masie is a hard working want to be dancer who teaches at a small dancing school and dreams of dancing professionally. The story starts just after Jett’s arrest for trying to buy pills in a sting operation. His arrest brings more problems and controversy to Willow Son just as things seemed to be looking up at the end of the first Willow Son book. The guilt of his massive screw up haunts Jett, yet he still refuses to acknowledge that he is addicted. While speaking to his drug meeting leader Jett sees his wanting the pills as “Not a problem. Just enjoyment.”
A chance meeting when Jett is alone in the recording studio and he is smitten by Masie. They start dating and learning more about each other. Masie help Jett accept his issues and admit he was addicted. Jett helps Masie realize that she can dream big. The tour ends when the other band is cut from the label and it ends up having a big impact on Masie. But in the end, love, and rockstar money and resources save the day. A nice & sweet HEA, “I’m hooked on you, Jett. I’m falling in love with you. Then fall, Jett yelled. … Just fall, I’ll catch you. Today. Tomorrow. Forever."

This band decides they need to have dancers on stage with them and Masie gets the job. The lead singer sets his sights on Masie, but she keeps turning him down. Naturally, he doesn’t like being resisted and starts to physically and mentally abuse her.

These stories are good if you don’t mind the guys frequently reminding us that they are “rockstars”. You also have to be willing to read books that have many typos. So many typos that it sometimes gets in the way of the story. I’ve read many books by Karolyn James and the typos and editing problems are common in all her books. I strongly recommend hiring a good editor.

Have you ever read one of those books where you absolutely could not put it down? The Loneliest Stage by Karolyn James is one of those books! This of course has great points and not so good points. The great points: a wonderful story of Jett and Masie falling in love in a way that you keep turning the pages, wanting to know what is going to happen next. The not so good point is the book is finished, and now I have to wait for the next in the series. Please Karolyn, not tooooo long of a wait???
Masie is a dancer that had big dreams of becoming a ballerina. Because of some stupid mistakes she made, that dream dies. She picks herself back up, refocuses, and moves out to California and starts over. She starts teaching children to dance, and auditions for dancing jobs on the side. After one audition, she gets the callback to be a dancer for Crutch Fail, the opening act for Willow son. Jett is a guitarist for Willow Son. Masie and Jett meet one night at the recording studio. Jett is recording some guitar tracks when Masie comes to the studio to pick up her purse that she forgot there earlier.
Jett has a bit of a problem with addiction. He will not admit it to himself or others. Several months ago, Jett was in an accident. During his recovery, the doctors put him on pain medication. He started to like the way they made him feel. During down time when he could not focus work for the band he would fall back on the pills again. During one of these times, while buying the pills from a dealer, he is caught. Thankfully, with Masie's help, he figures out how to stop it from becoming a real problem.
Ms James did a phenomenal job writing this story. I really like the way she describes the life of a rock star, with all of the ups and down of that life. She does this in a way that keeps her readers reading and definitely wanting more, more, more. I absolutely love this series.

I just can't get enough Brothers of Rock! Karolyn James has done it again!! I picked this book up and could not put it down till I was done and then I was sad that it was over!! This is the story of Jett and Masie.
Jett is a guitarist for the Rock band Willow Son. He has had some bad luck and bad publicity lately that has landed him in hot water with the law, his bandmates, and the man who is funding their next tour. He is told to lay low for a while till it is time to go on tour. He decides to go to the studio to jam and clear his head.
Masie is a dancer who's dream is to be a ballerina but has found herself shaking her butt and rubbing up on the lead singer of the band Crutch Fail. This is not her dream job at all, but it pays the bills and will hopefully get her noticed and catapult her career to the next level. Crutch Fail is the opening act on the Willow Son tour.
Masie ends up at the studio to get her bag that she left there and crashes Jett's jam session - she runs. They meet up again when the 2 bands are introduced to each other. There is a spark between the two of them from the moment they meet. But Jett has never felt this way about anyone and Masie doesn't want to make another mistake like she made in the past that would jeopardize her career. She wants to earn everything she gets and doesn't think hooking up with a rock star is the right thing to do. But the more time they spend together the more they fall in love with each other. Review for THE LONELIEST TOUR
I received this as a gift for an honest review
Where to start with this. I really enjoyed this story. It comes across as real, gritty and heartwarming. The characters come across as human…real problems, real fears, real regrets. WILLOW SON is a rock band comprised of COLBY, RYKER, BRANTLEY, VAN and JETT. Jett has just been arrested for buying pills illegally. He has been going to meetings for substance abusers. While working late in the studio one night , he meets a woman, Masie is her name, and she is a dancer. They don’t yet realize their lives are about to crash into each other in a spectacular way that will rock both their worlds. Portis is the owner of the record company that has WILLOW SON under contract. He informs them they will be going on a small tour with another of his bands named Crutch Fail. It just so happens that Masie is a dancer for the band and that puts her right in the sights of Jett. Where to start with this. I really enjoyed this story. It comes across as real, gritty and heartwarming. The characters come across as human…real problems, real fears, real regrets. WILLOW SON is a rock band comprised of COLBY, RYKER, BRANTLEY, VAN and JETT. Jett has just been arrested for buying pills illegally. He has been going to meetings for substance abusers. While working late in the studio one night , he meets a woman, Masie is her name, and she is a dancer. They don’t yet realize their lives are about to crash into each other in a spectacular way that will rock both their worlds. one bad decision and his world is turned upside down. pulled left right and center to be kept out of jail Jett just wants to be left alone and do what he does best : play guitar! enter Masie who crashes his me-time in the studio. the instant chemistry just jumps at you. Masie has a hard time fighting of the lead singer of the group she's dancing for, he doesn't take kindly to her rejection and he starts pushing things to another level where she eventually ends up hurt badly. during this time she gets a whole lot closer to Jett who is battling hard not to deck the singer of the group who's opening for them while on tour. it feels like going from one situation to the next but Jett is determined to make things work. Masie is THE one for him and he'll battle anyone, even Masie herself, to make his intentions clear.
it's the first book i read in this series but if this is any indication, i'm so reading the rest too!

Ms James has definitely done it again! Love these rock stars!
Wow! Another great book in the Brothers of Rock Series-Willow Son. This story is about Jett, one of the guitarists. He had some trouble getting arrested buying drugs and messed up things for the band. The guys all stuck by him as he attended meetings. He was sent to the studio to add some guitar to stuff the band had already put together to get ready for a mini tour with an opening band when he meets an 'intruder' Masie, who is a dancer with the unknown band. Jeff's interest is piqued. And so begins an interesting tale of like maybe turning to love for two people who are maybe a little afraid. Jett filled the void in his life with pills when music sometimes couldn't help, but now maybe someone could. A really beautiful hot rocker story, as only Karolyn James can tell.

The Loneliest Tour is the second book in the series, but can be read as a standalone. I have not read the first book, but did not feel the story was lacking in any way. Jett the rockstar pretty much does whatever he wants whenever he wants and he wants Masie. Masie is just trying to get to the big stage with her dancing. She wants to make it big and wants to get there on her own. The two of them are instantly attracted to each other and promise to not let things get carried away. But before you know it, they are finding out all the dark stories of each others pasts and it makes them both want to be together even more any way they can figure out a way to do so. Follow along on the tour while these two try to make ends meet. You will enjoy the ride!

What a book. It gives you an idea to the in depth look into what a rock stars life might be like. Especially with the drug scandal. Jett thinks he has it all under control. He says he isn't hooked on drugs. Masie is a dancer that is trying to get her life together and make something of her dance career even if it is dancing for a rock band she can't stand. When Jett meets Masie and the rock group that opens up for Willow Son, he just might have found something precious. The emotions and the depth of the characters in this story draw you in and don't let you go. I didn't want to put the book down.

WOW! I got this book and couldn't put it down. It was the first Brothers of Rock novel by Karolyn James that I have had the pleasure to read. The characters were will written and extremely loveable in their own rights. I laughed throughout this book, the author made me feel like I was totally there along with the band. I have definitely need to grab the rest of this series because it was AWESOMENESS. I loved the main character he was a loveable guy and found someone to help him conquer his demons. The book was a great read and was thoroughly enjoyable. I highly recommend this book and really anything by Karolyn James! A wonderful author in her own right. Go one-click this book NOW!

The last thing he needs is a woman; he has enough problems with his issues with drugs. But with Masie it gets him thinking that she is worth it. Masie is a dancer and gets an offer to dance with the band; she is hoping that this will be her big break. If you are looking for a great love story then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

Once again Ms. James gives us a look into the intense, hot and steamy life of a rocker. This is book two in the Willow Son story, however it is not necessary to read book one as it stands on its own. I found the characters of Jett and Masie to be great together and very likable. I loved the fact that in spite of his rocker image Jett is a true romantic. I can’t wait to read the rest of the band’s stories.

This was an okay short story about a rock star, Jett and a dancer, Maisie. Because it was so short, I felt like I was missing something. I didn't feel a build up in their relationship. Also, most of the book we were left in the dark about what happened bad in Maisie's past. When we finally find out, it really wasn't that big a deal. This story also had typos that drew away from the story. I have read other stories from this author and really liked them so I will give more of her books a chance.

A sweet Rocker romance. Two people fighting different demons stumble into each other's lives and fall in love. The story between Jett and Masie is sometimes beautiful and sometimes contrived and flat. I felt like some parts of the story could have been developed a little better and other parts could have been left out all together. The love scenes were a little awkward and took the book from good to mediocre quickly. Even though I liked the book as a whole I thought the writing could have used another edit.

I really enjoyed this book. Karolyn James really knows how to bring characters alive. I look forward to the next book. Nett and maisie really make you appreciate the good things that come from the bad. I would rather recommend this to any body who loves rock stars who know their hearts and learns from their mistakes.
This book really makes you appreciate things in life that go from bad to good. Makes you laugh and cry and laugh some more. A good read all the way around

Fantastic story!! I am completely hooked on these guys from Willow Son and Jett is not a disappointment! He is a super hot, super talented guy that is working on getting himself out of a bit of trouble. Masie stumbles in on him and there is this spark from the beginning and continues to grow. I love how connected he feels to her, how she makes him want to be better. It's a great read that I could not put down . Looking forward to reading about the rest of the guys!

Reading about Willow Son lets you in the Rock world behind the scenes. I am a country girl to heart. But I love reading Karolyn James books. They let me see another part of the world I never thought of. I could not imagine all of that goes on...... Jett & Masie, I did not want to put the book down!! I was even reading at work!! SHHH.... LOL Yes, I am a true Karolyn James reader. This book is amazing, so don't wait go one click and keep reading!!

I fell for Jett right off the bat, he pulls you in so you really want to know his story. Masie was a little more mysterious getting to know, but it was clear from the start that she was betrayed somewhere along the line and that these two belonged together. Another great story, looking forward to number 3.

Jett is trying to make amends with his band because he was busted buying some pills. He doesn't think he has a problem but he is willing to do whatever it takes for the band. They get a tour and the opening band really stinks. Except Jett meets Macie one of the back up dancers and he falls fast and hard. The pressure of being on tour heats up and so does their romance. This was a good story and I enjoyed reading it.

If you enjoy hot rockstars and a sweet love story than this book is for you. Karolyn James draws her reads into the lives of Nett and Masie and makes them wanting more.
I love how she is able to switch between Nett and Masie's points of view almost flawlessly. This is what really makes the book flow and easy to read.

The Loneliest Tour is skillfully written and captives you from the cover to the very last page and has you begging for more. Deliciously sexy, Karolyn James has written yet another amazing book. The story-line is intriguing and keeps you interested and the characters are great, Ms. James knows how to steam up the pages.

This was an awesome book.
Marie and Jeff's individual story prior to meeting are sad stories. Both of them had troubled pasts. The way they meet then slowly build their relationship is a cute story. The band she was in was horrible but she wanted to dance. Nett was aware with her and she with him. Love the ending of their story. Can't wait to read about Ryker.
