Welcome to January Cove, a quaint beach town on the coast of Georgia where true love always wins and happy endings are the catch of the day.
In the first 5 books of the January Cove series, you'll meet the Parker family. There are 4 brothers (Kyle, Aaron, Jackson and Brad) and one sister (Addison). Books 1-5 follow each of the siblings through the trials of falling in love, and you'll also meet their mother, Adele, who raised her five children alone after becoming a widow at a young age.
These books will make you swoon and leave you wanting more. Don't start reading them before bed or you may not get a wink of sleep!
The January Cove series books are the perfect beach reads. If you love small town romance set in a beach town with rich characters and amazing love stories, this series will be a new favorite!
Hey there! Before I tell you all about myself, can I invite you to join my private Rachel's Readers Facebook group? That's where my readers hang out, discuss my books, participate in giveaways and learn about new releases.
So who am I? My name is Rachel Hanna, and I am a wife, mother of three incredible kids (maybe I am a BIT biased?), two lovable doggies and one cat that lives outside and thinks he owns the world. Okay, I also have a gecko now too. Don't judge me.
I started writing as a young child, and I went into the field of Journalism for many years as an adult. Now, as a romantic fiction writer, I get to live out my own daydreams every single day and share them with readers around the world!
I'm a Southern chick living near Atlanta, so I say "yes, ma'm" and "ya'll", but I wouldn't have it any other way. :)
Pros -Couldn’t put the book down -First 4 stories were practically perfect Cons - Book 5 had SO many errors - The series is so, rich guy poor guy broken damsel in distress
I would say 4 stars for plot but all the mistakes.... 3 stars
Reading these love stories was heart warming. Children and mother. The people they fell in love with were strong also. Telling lies to get through life and over tragedies.
The One For Me 3* Short, sweet romance. Jenna bowed to the demands of her parents and left the love of her life, Kyle, for a horrible person. Her parents believed Kyle was beneath her and Neil would offer her stability and money. Jenna made mistakes and it makes this is a difficult read because she was the puppet of her parents. Even after Neil hurt her she remained with him. She did not deserve any of his abuse, rape, or derision. She does have a secret, but even that merits nothing her ex did to her. They both had the choice to end their marriage.
Loving Tessa 4* I adore the Parker family. Aaron went through a terrible ordeal with his ex-fiancé and is having difficulties not being angry with the world. Tessa has been through so much worse with her ex and is hiding from him with her three year old son. Aaron is attracted to Tessa and feels a deep connection to her he never felt with his ex. He must win her confidence to help her be able to live free.
Falling For You 4* Jackson is not happy with his life but does not know why or what to change. A visit home to January Cove for Thanksgiving could be the best thing for his future. He gets help to realize he walled himself off behind work and he can make that change, if he wants. Rebecca lost her husband 12 years ago and has spent them all grieving and trying to be both parents to their young son. She hopes the move to January Cove will help both of them. Meeting Jackson may be the change they really need. Jackson has great insight for her and how to connect with her troubled teen.
Finding Love 4* Addison was always the wild Parker, the joker. She fell for the slick attorney, Jim, in Atlanta. She realized too late he only wanted someone who looked good in his house because he had other women for his other needs. She continued in the marriage too long because of her pride and embarrassment for being so naïve. That is not the only secret she is hiding from her family and is now ready to confess to them everything. The divorce is not going well. Addison is beginning to realize Clay is a wonderful man she overlooked and growing up she never realized how much he cared for her. Her self esteem has taken multiple blows and she is finding difficulty seeing any future happiness for herself.
All I Need 4* This is Brad's story, the youngest Parker. He thought he had his love, until she left him at the altar, and now he uses his humor as a defense mechanism. He does not want to be close with another woman and allow her to hurt him. But, as he watches his siblings find love, he knows he is missing out. Ronni runs to January Cove for her job and is working with Brad. His easy going manner is hard not to love, but she is guarded and tries not to like him. Ronni has a secret and has not yet told Brad. She thinks he will understand after they have now gotten to know one another.
This is the first five books in the series. These book deal with the five Parker – four brothers and one sister. The first two books have stories about abused women and the Parker Brothers. The third is about a widow of 9/11 the fourth about the sister and her cheating husband and the last younger brother and a runaway bride. You'll love it.
