A sexy category romance novella from Entangled's Brazen imprint...
Good girl, meet bad cowboy...
Marketing Tycoon Tyler Mackenzie, a.k.a. Wildman Mac, has a knack for knowing what people want and, more importantly, what they need…so when he decides to show sweet and sexy yoga instructor Jess Gray that she's the one for him, he puts a seductive campaign into motion.
When Mac defines the terms for the week and insists she do everything he says, Jess can't help but be intrigued. Since this good girl wants to break free and do something naughty, she agrees to his terms and soon finds herself embarking on a sexual journey that knows no limits. For Jess this is one week of living out her fantasies, but Mac is determined to make this wild ride last forever.
New York Times and USA Today bestselling author Cathryn Fox is a wife, mom, sister, daughter, aunt and friend. She loves dogs, sunny weather, anything chocolate (she never says no to a brownie) pizza and red wine. Cathryn lives in beautiful Nova Scotia with her husband, who is convinced he can turn her into a mixed martial arts fan. When not writing, Cathryn can be found Skyping with her son living in Seattle (could he have moved any farther away?) shopping with her daughter in the city, watching a big action flick with her husband, or hanging out and laughing with friends.

When I read the first book, Slow Ride of the Playing for Keeps Series by Cathryn Fox it was more on the romantic and emotional connection between Chase Cooper and Julia Blair. And in this second installment Wild Ride, Cathryn Fox definitely took this book up a notch on the wild side. And when I mean wild, I don't mean wrangling horses but wrangling deep sexual fantasies that only Tyler Mackenzie can fulfill for Jess Gray.
For Tyler, Jess was the one woman from his past that he knew was perfect for him since he has been harboring deep feelings for her since they were high school friends. So when Tyler invited Jess to his ranch that he co-owns with his friends, he wanted one week with Jess to show her that they are perfect for each other emotionally and physically. And Tyler is the only one who can fulfill all her deep sexual fantasies since he knew she was a shy girl who had lots of dirty naughty fantasies. One week was all it took for Jess to be awaken sexually, emotionally, and physically to Tyler. So when their week is up, will Tyler be able to wrangle the woman that he has been in love with or will she be too scared to take a chance with this sexy cowboy? Is Jess ready for one wild ride?
Wild Ride was definitely a fun, naughty, and sexy read!!!! I enjoyed reading this quick sexy romance between Tyler and Jess. Though the book started with insta-lust, I didn't mind it all since these two shared a past together and had feelings for each other. I really enjoyed Tyler's character since he really wanted to show how much he knew Jess and her sexual fantasies. I loved that Tyler did these sexual fantasies for her pleasure alone. So if you are looking for a quick steamy read where a couple explores their sexual fantasies, then Wild Ride might be the book for you.
When Mac invites the girl that got away - his childhood friend Jess - to come stay with him for a week to explore what could be between them, he insists she does everything he says for the week. Jess is kind of shy and quiet but has a lot of fantasies she's wanted to explore. Mac is the perfect man to help her explore her sexual side.
This was a smoking hot novella! It was a complete story with a sweet epilogue. There is also a little menage action. This is the perfect book for someone who is looking for a short, easy, and HOT story!
2.75 You don’t have to change a thing, darlin’ stars
Following on from the previous book in the series, Slow Ride, Coop, Jag and Mac had invited the three girls from their past, that they felt they had unfinished business with. Coop and Julia were explored last time, and Mac and Jess have their opportunity in Wild Ride.
Having grown up next to one another, Tyler Mackenzie and Jess Gray had been the best of friends for most of their youth. As they got older, Mac had become more vocal and boisterous, but Jess still remained in the background.
Jess was happy in her life, but felt her repressed fantasies, which she regularly laid bare in a journal, were featuring in the forefront of her mind lately. Her natural, shy persona was cracking, and when Mac unexpectedly invited her for a week at his dude ranch to explore their age old connection further, her inner lust-o-metre went crazy.
This was another whistle stop story that featured lots of body trembling and wall squeezing. Jess also had the fortunate opportunity to be the filling in her very own cowboy sandwich.
Needless to say, there was a high steam factor precariously supported by a short story.

For a novella, this packs quite a punch! Of smexy times, that is, oh boy!
I haven't read the 1st novella in this series but it's ok, they're all standalones, as far as I can tell. This one is about Mac and Jess, the one gal from high school who didn't quite leave his mind. I think that's the theme for the series- that what-if question.
Mac and Jess were quite into each other when they were young but neither one did anything about it, that is, until Mac decided to invite Jess to the dude ranch that he co-owns with 2 friends from high school. I would have enjoyed more buildup to their "reunion". I don't know or understand why then and not before. I guess I just had to buy into his plan without much preamble.
But once that reunion happened, was that ever scorchin'! Call me whatever but the hotness factor was enough for me to enjoy the whole thing teehee... which is what I've come to expect anyways from any of my Entangled Brazen reads. Guess I got what I asked for. Mission accomplished.
Holy freaking sizzler! Wild Ride was a scorcher! *giddy squee* Whew boy! Cathryn Fox upped the heat in the most delicious way with Wild Ride as two childhood friends get a hedonistic weekend away to explore a delightfully explicit list of fantasies and see if maybe they were always meant to be together.
I loved these two. They knew each other back in high school and though they both kinda had a thing for each other never let on and missed opportunities and all that. Buuuuut now all these years later Tyler and his buddies are trying to make that right by inviting the "girls that got away" to spend an entire week on their Dude Ranch to see if maybe, just maybe, the sparks are still there.
They were fun, sexy and had fabulous chemistry together. He's a bit wild, she's a bit shy, she centers him, he gives her the opportunity to get a little crazy and try all the things she's fantasized about over the years. They were just a tasty delicious pairing.
Alright. So. I was NOT expecting this one to be as hot as it was. Book one was hot but Wild Ride was a whole other level. It's definitely in the erotic romance category and holy cow it will make. you. squirm. There's a little dominance/submission happening, a little kink, a bit of a menage with one of his buddies (though it's a m/f romance) and some back door action. It was all so very shiver-worthy. The excitement and passion flew off the pages and was just gloriously sinful.
There were sweet moments too as they got to know each other, spent a little time doing the things each other loved most--him spending time with his horse and on the ranch and her with yoga (she totally gave him lessons). They were pretty adorable together.
All in all, Wild Ride was one helluva quickie and seriously satisfying! Fox brought a delicious romance full of heat, humor and heart. Bring on book 3!
I wasn't overly crazy about the first book in the Playing for Keeps series, Slow Ride, but I had to read Wild Ride. And oh my gosh, I seriously love this standalone story. The title fits this book perfectly.
Tyler “Wildman Mac” Mackenzie and his two best friends from high school have a drunken conversation, where they reminisce about the one who got away. Mac, Coop, and Jag all decide to send an anonymous invitation to the girl they can’t stop thinking about and invite her to their ranch retreat.
For Mac, his girl is his childhood crush and former neighbor, Jess Gray. Growing up, Mac and Jess were always close, spending time together and understanding each other. Things changed when they got to high school. Tyler became loud and wild, in order to standout in his large family and at school. Jess continued to be the shy, introverted girl she always was. Now ten years after high school, the two are finally getting a chance to explore their feelings that have always been just buried under the surface.
There aren’t enough words to express how much I loved Wild Ride. Due to her shyness, yoga instructor Jess isn’t too experienced. She does have a very vivid imagination and likes to write her fantasies down in her journal. When Mac discovers her journal, he’s determined to help her fulfill a couple of her wishes. With voyeurism, MFM action, self-discovery, and love, I found Wild Ride to be a fantastic book to lose myself in.
I loved that you could feel Jess and Mac’s feelings through the pages. There’s no doubt they love and care about each other. Mac isn’t one of those male heroes who have “duh” moments who seems to be unaware of something he’s done wrong. He’s gentle and caring and truly wants what’s best for Jess. While I loved Wild Ride like crazy, I did want just a little bit more. If you read the book, then you will more than likely know what I’m talking about. I’m looking forward to the third and final novella in this series, Sweet Ride.

This is the second book in the Playing for Keeps Series and while the characters overlap a bit the stories are completely independent and can be read alone. This story is just as panty-melting hot as book one, maybe even hotter!
So it's the same situation but a different couple, this one is Tyler Mackenzie "Mac" and Jess Gray as Mac brings Jess to the Dude Ranch for a week to prove they are meant to be together. This is a really quick read that takes less than an hour from start to finish. I am a little disappointed in this book though as it literally mimicked book one of the series, just different sex situations. While I know that there are three guys who planned this "second chances" adventure it seems like the author could have shaken things up a bit.
Still a good book and overall a good series.

While the premise for this book may be just a tad formulaic. What happens once said guy gets his chosen girl to the ranch is 100% original.
This could not be more true than in the case of Tyler Mackenzie and Jess Grey. When a man says, "You have to agree to do everything I say. No questions asked." As soon as you step off the plane.
Well...
I would say that the ante on fun sexy times has just been way up-ed! (Either that...or your picture is going to be the next addition to the "have you seen me" wall at Walmart.)
Anyway. As luck would have it, Mac was a bit of a prankster in high school. It seems however, that there was one prank involving a kiss with Jess, in which our prankster got an unforgettable treat for his trick.
Speaking of tricks. These two are now playing games of the adult kind. And it seems as though "Wildman Mac" has spent a good amount of time perfecting his own brand of kink. As a cowboy, you might expect him to be down with a little rope play. But who knew that cowboys also have 'sex clubs'. As if that is not enough, there is also a little menage (not Nikki) going on here.
This is a very sweet and very uninhibited novella. As is par for the course with both the series, and its author; the reader can expect a very well-written and fully fleshed out read. While the sex does play a very central part in the overall plot of this book, the romance and well developed romance work together to soften any rough edges.
Reviewer's Note: This book is the second in a series of companion novellas which may read in any order, alone, or as they are intended within the series.
The second installment of the Playing For Keeps series should come with asbestos gloves. I needed an oxygen mask while reading this novella. I swear, Cathryn Fox was not kidding when she entitled this "Wild Ride" because it is indeed! Beware this novella contains ménage as well as anal sex so proceed accordingly. As I always do with books that have this much sexual content I analyze it by removing the sex from the story and determine the quality of the storyline - in "Wild Ride" it hold up. The heroine, especially, undergoes tremendous character growth. The Hero, Mac, is incredibly endearing and blazing H-O-T! Jess, the Heroine, is a marvel of contradictions, innocence and audacious. My oh, my ... The SEX is WILD, OUTRAGEOUS, and just SHAMELESS - in the best of ways. One of the scenes involves a third party that may turn some off but it was so STEAMY I just rode the wave. As mentioned above there is another instance that is a "safe word" scene - but it was handled really well. Not usually my scene but Ms. Fox wrote it in a very palatable way. There was white hot sex, a storyline, and character growth, which is perfect. It was just - WOW!!! This series keeps getting better, what will the next installment bring? I can't wait! This was one really sexy story that I had to devour in one sitting. I had to know what kinky, naughty, sexy as all get out things Mac would get Jess to do. And oh momma were they hot. But underneath it all, there was a genuine, sweet, endearing heart of a man known for his wild ways. I totally adored Mac, total complete package of a man.
Then there is Jess. She is an introvert, quiet and calm, only with quite a few fantasies. Reading her letting go and giving up her control to Mac was a treasured bliss. He took such excellent care of her and in return, she calmed and soothed him. They truly were a complement to each other. And their honest confessions from their youth were very heartwarming.

Whoa! I think my ereader might still be smoking from all the heat in this book! When Tyler MacKenzie and his buddies hatch a plan to invite "the one that got away" up to their ranch for a week, never did he expect the connection with shy reserved good girl Jess to be as intense as it is. She may be shy but if her journal is any indication, she has a wild side as well and he knows just how to bring that side out!!
Really enjoyed this one. It may be short but it packs some major steam! I definitely recommend it!
Mac and Jess are complex interesting characters. They are spark right from the start. It was fun reading this short story and seeing these characters go from childhood friends to adult lovers after re-connecting. The story is steamy and well-written. I enjoyed the story and the characters. I’m looking forward to reading the final story in the series.
This is a wonderful sexy read. I couldn't stop reading it from page one. I love the characters and the idea of the story. To read my full review go to my blog: http://romancingthereaders.blogspot.c...
This cowboy romance is all about fulfilling fantasy and reclaiming an old crush. If Jess can give Tyler one week, he'll show her just how much she means to him.
This scorching romance is for mature readers, 18+

Review: (4⭐️) (4🌶️) I don't remember a lot of it tho, but I think it had a good plot & spice (doing this review off my list so there isn't a full review...but that's what i rated it so)(the series was pretty good!)
Libby App, read as an audiobook from Harris County Public Library. This is part 2 of a 3 part series. I think these do not have to be read in order. Sexy read that offers indulgence in adventurous fantasies.
Woohoo... that was hot hot hot! Mac and Jess certainly had a wild ride or two, three... This book was an excellent listen and narrated perfectly by Cindy Harden.
I know this is a short novella read and all, but did everything have to happen so fast? The first chapter is fine – Mac’s all anxious waiting for Jess to get off the plane, uncertain whether she’ll even take the trip and what she’ll think of his idea if she does. Which is fine, then the second chapter opens with the whole proposition – before she’s even seen her room or unpacked. Give a girl time to settle in, Mac!
The super speed continues with their first “date” being at a sex club and their second sexual encounter being a threesome. Now, with some characters this would be fine and I wouldn’t have a problem with any of it, but I never quite bought the whole secret naughty side of Jess. She’s supposedly super shy and conservative and reserved, and spends every night writing her sexy fantasies down in a journal. Which completely fits with the idea of her running away the first time Mac kissed her when they were teens.
What doesn’t fit is the idea that even as she’s talking terms of a sexy get away with Mac she’s eying up another cowboy. Which she continues to do until the threesome, then she pretty much ignores him. Er… If she was genuinely attracted to Blake, or even just curious about him, then fine. However, she isn’t. It’s just a handy plot device so they can have a threesome which Mac doesn’t want, Blake’s all into and Jess enjoys, but barely even thinks about afterwards. You’d think having a long term fantasy come to life would have some sort of effect, even if it was just “wow, hot, but I don’t think I could do it again” kind of thought. Or, more likely, “that was amazing. When can we do it again?”
After those two encounters the rest of their week together is sort of explained away without much of anything – except some anal, ’cause this was a cram as many sexy fantasies without going too kinky in as possible kind of read. And this annoyed me, mostly because if Mac had worked his way up to the big scenes I might have been able to believe it, but they go all in long before I’d expect Jess to have been comfortable with Mac, let alone living out her fantasies. This is a woman who won’t let him look at her journal – yet she’s all up for living them out right away.
Nope. Sorry. Jess’ character just did not work for me here. Mac was a little better in his sexy trust-me way and his willingness to share Jess (sort of) for that one encounter because he knew she wanted it, even when he wasn’t happy about it. However, even Mac was pretty sketchy and I never really got to know him too well.
So overall this wasn’t much of a hit with me. It might have been sexier if I’d been able to believe in the characters, but mostly they were just thin props to explain away the fantasies – and reminded me that some fantasies are better off not being lived. However, it is short, there’s plenty of sex and it has an implausibly happy ending. If you’re not too bothered about the characters involved in such things, then this will definitely make for a steamy escape.

Jess Gray has always had a crush on her friend Tyler MacKenzie, but has chose to never act on it for fear of having her feelings hurt, because Mac is a no strings attached kind of guy. For the most part she lives a very neat and orderly life, and has never really been known to walk on the wild side. The closest she has ever came to being wild and daring is letting her imagination run wild, and jotting down some spicy sexual fantasies in her journal. So, when she receives an invite to stay at a ranch for one week she decides to throw caution to the wind and do something wild and unexpected for the first time in her life, and take this mysterious host up on their offer. What she doesn't expect to find is the sexy cowboy that's had a starring role in her journal fantasies, and he's making her a offer too tempting to refuse... Question is wis she ready to walk on the wild side?
Tyler MacKenzie is a business tycoon during the week, and enjoys his little escapes to the countryside on the weekends. He, along with two of his friends, run a working dude ranch, and while they enjoy what they do, they have all decided it's time to settle down once and for all and find someone to share their lives with. So, they each decide to invite the one woman in their lives that they feel like they let slip away, and for Mac that woman is Jess Gray. He has admired her from afar for years, but could never quite catch her eye, so he had to settle for being her friend, but now this wild cowboy is ready to show her he can be the man to make all her fantasies a reality, and win over her heart. Now he just has to convince her that he's not the cowboy Casanova he use to be...
This is the second installment in the Playing For Keeps series, and I have to say that it was equally as entertaining as the first, I have been dying to see what Ms. Fox had in store for the other two cowboys in the series, and this one DEFINITELY surpassed my expectations, Mac captured my heart after right from the start and had me smiling like a fool the whole way through! Ms. Fox has created quite the literary treat for readers with this series, I HIGHLY recommend you acquaint yourself with the men of the Playing For Keeps series, their sure to satisfy all your reading needs. . . and then some!

Okay, this was one sizzling hot and erotic number! Cowboys, ménage and outdoor sex, oh my!
The previous book in the series, Slow Ride, was romantic and sensuous but Ms. Fox definitely upped the heat factor in this one! Tyler Mackenzie has always wondered about his high school crush Jess Gray, the girl that got away and even though he's had his fair share of female companions, she's never far from his thoughts so when the chance to explore the connection between them arises, he grabs at it with both hands.
Jess Gray is in need of a distraction while she contemplates the future of her business and an all-expenses paid opportunity to visit a working ranch may be just what she needs, but she's very surprised to find that the invitation came from Tyler, her dream guy in high school. This is Jess's chance to cut loose and indulge herself and with Tyler determined to give her everything, it's the perfect time to explore some of her fantasies, no holds barred.
I really enjoyed this book and in spite of how short it was, Ms. Fox did great with the characters. Tyler was easygoing and fun but he was also genuine and sincere and he pulled out the stops to give Jess what she wanted and convince her to give a relationship with him a try after their weekend at the ranch. Jess was quiet on the outside but needed just a little push to break out the naughty side she kept hidden under her good girl persona.
I like that even though the heat is almost off the charts, Tyler and Jess had moments of tenderness where they explored their feelings for each other. Their bit of history was cute and gave their romance a foundation. WILD RIDE is one steamy read!
Disclaimer: I received this book for free from the Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.
This super steamy novella (beyond sexy, really) is the story of Jess and Mac. It's the second of a trilogy of books, each standalone and featuring a different couple, all about 3 guys who run a dude ranch in Alberta (though they have lives in Nova Scotia too) and their intention to bring the 3 girls they crushed on in high school to the ranch to give them a second chance at a relationship. In the case of Jess and Mac, they were friends but she was an introvert where he was an extravert, and they just gradually drifted apart. But Mac has never gotten over his crush on Jess and this is his chance to show her that she's always meant more to him than he could say. And, having read her high school diary, he knows there is a sexually explorative woman hiding inside, one whose fantasies he wants to fulfill if she'll give him this week to show her that they could have a real future together.
The Brazen book line is definitely moving in a kinkier direction with some of their latest stories, and this one definitely is one of those! For a novella, it packs a punch in a short amount of time, giving us the intro into Jess and Mac's history, and quickly bringing us up to speed. And by up to speed I mean indulging in some of Jess's sexier fantasies, including a visit to a sex club, a menage scene that will light your ereader on fire, and some backdoor action. But even with the emphasis on hot sex, the emotions between Jess and Mac are easy to see and I loved the two of them together. While Mac might be all about indulging in Jess's desires, he's really quite the sweetheart too and obviously cares for Jess. Jess isn't quite sure how to take this week with him, and assumes it's just going to be a no strings attached affair, not realizing until midway through that being with Mac, not just in bed but enjoying his company and his care for her, is striking a chord deep within her. She's falling for Mac and vice versa, and in the end you get a sweet love story to go with the hotness. Very enjoyable. 4 stars.

Tyler Mackenzie (Mac) has never forgotten the girl he kissed under the mistletoe and now that he and his buddies have invited their 'girls' up to their dude ranch he's determined to taste more than her lips. He knows some of Jess' secret desires and he will stop at nothing to give her every pleasure she desires along with his heart.
Jess headed to the ranch curious about why Mac requested her presence. She still remembers her high school crush and when she lays eyes on him all those urges he inspired come back to the surface. But Jess has a other things on her mind and can't afford to waste her time on a week-long fling. But try as she might she can't stay away from Mac or the desires he stirs in her.
I liked the premise behind these stories and looked forward to reading how these men when out of their way to pursue the women they never forgot. I was especially curious to see how the author would bring the story forth after taking into account the length of the stories. In my experience, novellas tend to feel incomplete when they revolve around a brand-new couple. Unfortunately for me, this was the case with this series.
I admit I had a difficult time accepting Jess and Mac as a viable couple since it seemed that all they shared within the first half of the book were sexual encounters. Thankfully, towards the second half of the story Jess and Mac shared more non-sexual interactions which helped to showcase they indeed shared a connection aside from the physical. I just wished I would have gotten to see it built from the very beginning. I believe it would have increased my enjoyment of this story a whole lot more.
Having said that, I still think that Slow Ride, Wild Ride and Sweet Ride were a worthwhile reads. Each story was steamy and sexy with intriguing characters and an interesting concept that the author made sure to explore fully.
All in all, a nice set of sexy little reads. Perfect for a quick escape from reality in the middle of a hectic day.
Heavy on the "erotic"--light on the "romance"...not necessarily a bad thing, but this one definitely could have been expanded and developed more to tell a more complete story and make the romance feel more realistic. Yes, they're friends from way back, but we barely even see it. At times it almost felt as if I was missing something, Jess and Mac jumped so fast into, well, pretty much everything.
Since I was at work and without internet access when I read most of this (nice, quiet lunch break! Blissful...) it wasn't until I got home and was able to log on to Goodreads that I figured out why this seemed so familiar, yet not at the same time. The premise (three friends, one working dude ranch, three women flown out for a mystery week) just sounded so darn familiar...hadn't I read something like that? A while ago?
Aha! Cowboy's Way, from back in 2013! (Which has since been expanded and re-released as Slow Ride, apparently.) I feel like there was more of an explanation in that book for why and how the three friends came to decide to bring the women to their ranch for the week, and I wish I'd made the connection earlier so I could have brought myself back up to speed by re-reading Coop and Julia's story first (or reading the new version for the first time--darn you, Cathryn Fox! I see what you did there ;)) Wild Ride felt like it started a bit more in the middle of things than I remember the first book doing.
Overall, Wild Ride was enjoyable, if a bit disjointed. I can't help but feel that it would benefit from being expanded into a longer story, but as is it offers a quick, steamy respite for an hour or two of your day.
Rating: 3 1/2 stars / C+

This is Book 2 in the Playing For Keeps series and I have to say, this is one HOT book!! In this book we have Mac and Jess. Who unbeknownst to each other when they were in High School both liked each other but again, were too afraid to take the leap to see where it may lead them. When Mac questions why he's part of this wild idea of bringing Jess to the Dude Ranch for a week, his reasoning is "Because I’d never gotten over that sweet kiss I shared with her, that’s why."
When Jess gets off the plane and sees Mac for the first time she can't believe it's him that's brought her to the Ranch and thinks it's a joke. Well as we quickly learn, it's no joke. Mac has wanted to see what there could be between him and Jess for the last 10 years and he's bound and determined to get to the point and quickly. He wastes no time in his pursuit of Jess and the memories haven't done justice to their hotter than hot chemistry.
Mac convinces Jess to stay for the week and see what happens and also convinces Jess to take part of some shenanigans that she's only written about, in great detail mind you, in her oh so personal journal. I loved how Mac was willing to let Jess explore her sexuality even at his expense of wanting to keep her all to himself, if you know what I mean.... LOL!
Jess discovers that there can be more to her life if she's willing to let Mac in and maybe her wildest dreams in every aspect of her life could come true. It was wonderful to see Jess grow and expand and discover what a truly beautiful woman she is and I think a lot of it had to do with Mac and his determination to have Jess in his life.
Do they ultimately discover they're meant to be together and that no matter what being yourself in and out of bed is the best thing in the world? Guess you'll need to 1-click this gem to find out!
Is there anything better than one smokin' hot, naughty cowboy? What is that you say? TWO NAUGHTY COWBOYS? Yes, please! Good grief, Cathryn Fox, you blew me away with this little novella. Its from Entangled's Brazen line, so I knew it would be steamy, but WOW! I had already fallen for Coop (Slow Ride) and was anxious to see what the author had in store for Mac. I was definitely not disappointed. Tyler Mackenzie is a successful businessman during the week and a rancher with his two best friends on the weekend. They make a deal to bring the 3 girls they never got over out to their ranch for a one week woo-fest to see if the spark is still there. Tyler/Mac has a problem. The spark he had for the ultra shy little girl next door was definitely one sided. She was too shy, too quiet and never acted interested in him. The only way he even knew she had emotions was this dirty little journal she kept wedged under her mattress that he got a peek at one day. He has replayed the words he read over and over in his mind the last few years and he aims to please! When Jess Grey receives the seemingly anonymous invitation to a one week vacation at a dude ranch she thinks, why the heck not. Her yoga studio is failing and she has no meaningful relationship in her life to worry about leaving. When she steps off the plane and into the arms of Wildman Tyler Mackenzie she doesn't realize that all of her naughty little journal fantasies are about to come to life! And then she meets Blake.... ;) I totally LOVED this book! Even for a novella, the characters were perfectly developed, the editing was good for an ARC (a couple of typos but nothing major) and the sexy times were off the charts steamy. I would definitely recommend this read to anyone who wants a naughty little escape! 5*****wickedgoodstars. -asw
