Written in an informal colloquial style, this student-friendly Principles of Macroeconomics textbook does not sacrifice intellectual depth in its quest for accessibility. The author’s primary concern is to instill “economic sensibility” in the student. Colander emphasizes the intellectual and historical context to which the economic models are applied. The seventh edition has been significantly revised to make it simpler, shorter, more organized and more applicable to the real world.
Okay, freaking boring book, but actually learned quite a bit, especially during these hard economic times. More economic concepts make sense and I find it great that I can understand more of what is happening and why. So, despite boring, it taught me some stuff. Yeah for school.
Considering that I HAD to read this, I was pleasantly surprised at what a smooth read this was. Instead of super dry, dreaded reading for class, the author wrote with a sense of humor, as well as reality.
