Unforeseeable Consequences

Every action in life, random or not, produces a result—a consequence. Some of these are predictable while others are unexpected. The unforeseeable effects are the most interesting to a writer and that makes a story come to life for the reader.

Some time ago five writers created short stories about consequences of actions. The subjects varied and were unrelated to each other, yet through a series of circumstances they ended up in the same short story anthology—an unforeseeable consequence of the various friendships that have developed between writers. It’s my pleasure to have edited these stories and I’m delighted to offer these for your reading enjoyment.

In each of these short stories, the lives of the characters are forever changed as a result of the choices they make and unforeseeable consequences result. There was no choice in the matter of naming this collection. It had to be Unforeseeable Consequences.

About the author

James has experience in both pharmaceutical manufacturing and clinical patient management. Medications and their impact on a patient’s quality of life has been his expertise. His secret passion of murder and mayhem, however, is a whole other matter. An obsession with reading murder mysteries and thrillers left him longing to weave such tales of his own.
