Nina Monet Cambridge is a successful city girl living in country town. She runs and owns a tattoo shop with her cousin, Kourtney. Kourtney is tired of seeing her cousin down and out. She convinces her cousin to get back into the dating scene again, forcing Nina to confront her hurtful past.
Nina grew up on a naval base in San Diego, California. When Nina was fourteen, she met and fell for an older musician by the name of Ricque Cole. What started off as tutoring to get him caught up on his schoolwork turned into a beautiful relationship, but more than that, the two became best friends. They confided in one another and depended on each other to get through the tough times. Nina struggled with the feelings of neglect that her mother placed upon her; Ricque struggled with the life that his parents left him to deal with.
Circumstances pull the young couple from one another, forcing Nina to keep a secret that should have never been kept. Heartbreaking decisions were made, and Nina’s conscience begins to weigh down on her. After a tragic event, Nina’s aunt invites her to come live with her in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
After almost sixteen years of living with guilt and anguish, Nina meets a handsome club owner by the name of Santiago Dominguez. Feelings start to flourish, and Nina can’t seem to shake the fact that the new man in her life has similarities to the old one. Just when Nina decides that it’s time to move on, her past confronts her with open arms.

Great Read
My 1st read from this author and I have to say I'm impressed. The story flowed perfectly and the storyline was good. I loved Nina, Kourtney, Ricque, and Santiago even though I bring trust him. The story touched on real life situations and some things I personally can relate to. I would definitely recommend this book. Now on to part 2.

First let me say the editing was damn near perfect!!! I love how the story didn't remind me of nothing I've read before very different and so many secrets and surprises I enjoyed it so much I finished in like two and a half hours

All the things money can't buy
This was my first book but this author and I must say that it was really good. I loved Nina she just really want her mother loved. Her mother was something else when everything came out I can see why she did the thing she did but it still was no excuse. I love Kourtney and Nina relationship. The ending was something else I can't wait for part 2.

Nina and Kourtney are not only cousins, but they are the best of friends. Their mothers are out on the town, doing whatever comes to mind, leaving the two teenagers to get into all kinds of things. When Nina gets hooked up with Ricque, her life changes in a drastic way. She and Kourtney are separated for a period, but as all real friends do, Kourtney stuck by her and was there to help pick up the pieces when Nina was ready to do so. Author Krystal Armstead packs tons of story into these pages, and the relationship twists and turns are enough to keep even the most disinterested reader intrigued. When Nina and Kourtney are out of the grasps of their very accomplished, and very controlling, mothers, life takes on a whole new flavor. They set up life in a way that's comfortable for them. There are still lingering hurts, open ended questions, and chapters that haven't been completed. Life has a way of coming full circle, and when it does so for these ladies, nothing in their lives has prepared them for what comes.
The pros in this story are the amount of story in such a small space. Start to finish, there was action happening. There were no places where I felt as though I could/should skip a few pages to pick up the interesting part down the line. The storylines for each character fit together nicely, and there were no dangling endings or information that didn't fit.
If I had to identify a negative, I would say, there isn't a part 2 yet. This book is THAT good.

And Definitely Never Will.....
This entire book blew me away from start to finish, and was not at all what I expected. This wasn't the typical "good girl meets thug" story though had some of the same active ingredients. This plot twist was unlike anything I have experienced in a very long time. Every time I thought I was with the program and able to judge the next course of treatment I was always out in left field. The lies, secrets, dysfunction, deception, revenge, hate and jealousy knocked me off my feet and left me with my mouth open on so many occasions. I think the only time I had a correct clue was when I actually assumed that the concert Nina was about to attend was Ricques. Why didn't he come back for her or attempt to contact her after all those years considering what they had shared and how special it was? Why oh why did he and Saint have to be brothers? Poor, poor, little Nina and then to further complicate the entire issue, cousins were sisters and due to incest? And then the baby? Why do bad things happen to good people? I highly recommend this read without hesitation even if this isn't your usual genre. My kudos to Ms Armstead.

Omg this is the first book I've read by Krystal and I can't wait to read more. Rayna and Hillary had me so mad with their actions. They had every opportunity to let Nina and Kourtney know what was going on but took too long to explain. I loved the relationship between Nina and Ricque and hated how Rayna went about handling things. I was hoping as time passed their young love would pick back up. Nina going through everything her mom put her through was a lot. I was glad she sought out to do what she loved and not what her mom expected her life to be. Saint was cool but I figured he had some ties to things from Nina's past. These selfish heifers and their secrets! Poor London! I'm so ready for part 2 and see how a blast from the past will change things.

I love this book I knew it was a possiblity that they new each other . I wonder how it would go in the next book who will she choose. Can she even choose is Rique available.I hated Hilary and Rayna ugh they were some hypocritical and lyinc, conniving ladies I mean just honestly pathetic. The bombs they were dropping were crazy. I love the romance in this novel and it had me in my feelings. I enjoy all the characters in the story line. Also Kourtney a little skeptical in my book she kept saying things that were going to happen or already happened it was really shady low key.I hope that its not what I think and Stephen is just as romantic I mean dang that would crush little Nina.I have read all of Krystal's books and I love them all keep up the good work

Must Read
Wow this story definitely didn't go the way I expected.. I jus knew that Santiago was on some shady ish.. Never would I have guessed the truth.. There's so many secrets in this book that it was crazy but they made for a really good read.. Krystal is definitely becoming one of my fave.. All her stories are so different and amazingly unique.. It's literally like sitting in front of a movie screen and watching it play out.. Can't want to see the drama, I kno is coming, unfold in pt 2..

I just love Krystal Armstard's books! I check amazon everyday looking to see if she released a book from a her last series entitled "It's wrong for me to love you", but to my surprised she has started a new series which was awesome! Banger!!!
I read this book in a matter of hours! Krystal, you did that with this book. I don't know where to begin. This was an excellent read from beginning to end. All the twists and turns and drama made up for a great read. I so cannot wait to see what happens in part two. Great job!!

I can't wait for part 2. I figured it would be Ricque's concert but I didn't think he would be Santiago's brother. I hope London & Nina can build a relationship. Nina's mother is a horrible woman. Nina waited a really long time to get a man, I hope she can be happy with Santiago.

Money Can't Buy True Love but it sure can keep the devil busy. I loved Ricque & Little Nina story it was like a fairy tail young love one most will never experience in life but doesn't mean it's nit real. I feel like Mrs. Cambridge knew that and couldn't handle seeing her daughter happy bc she never got that chance. Instead she took the next best thing and that was rank in the military. Her and Hilary were sad excuses as parents. I felt like there was a reason but even still was unjustified. From the moment Officer Cambridge made Little Nina go through that hurt I hated her. Kourtney is a replica of her role models but she has a heart like Nina. London... let's just say she broke my heart from the time.... I can't go into details without giving more of the story away. Ricque & Nina had that unforgettable love story but will love be enough to keep them together? Santiago is bae material for sure.
I loved EVERY page of this read from start to finish. It mad me mad, cry, curse and smile. This book was a real page turner. The Authors development of the characters and each scene, secret, crush, lie, hurt and altercation was planned out with so much detail. Great Read can't wait to read book 2.

This is my first read by this author. This book was really good. I didn’t expect it to be like this because of the title. I don’t wanna give any details but I just wanna say I could not tolerate the mother and aunt in this book. I enjoyed the book started to get juicy towards the end. Just remember if you don’t love yourself you will be looking for Love I all the wrong places. Great job Krystal.
