She needed five thousand dollars. He needed someone who would actually run.
Mia Williamson is twenty-eight, three jobs deep, and one semester away from an architecture degree she's paying for herself. Her grandmother's house money ran dry around Christmas, and her thesis model is missing its south facade because she can't afford the basswood. She has no business answering the lime-green flyer on the studio noticeboard.
She emails anyway.
Vermillion Events runs private, fully consensual pursuit a head start, a contract, and a masked hunter paid to catch you. Mia figures she can handle a weekend of running. She's been handling things her whole life.
What she doesn't plan on is making him work for it.
The hunter has spent years bored by women who give in before the chase begins. Mia fights him every step, and the first time he catches her, he can't stop thinking about it. Neither can she.
Then Nash Solano, whose buildings she has studied for years, starts turning up at the coffee shop where she closes. He has a nine-figure construction company, a terrible way of asking for a phone number, and no intention of letting her go.
Mia has been rescuing herself for years. She never expected to want to be caught.
I received this book from the author as an ARC reader in exchange for an honest review.
I was OBSESSED from the very first chapter! I could not put this book down!!
As someone who usually reads dark romance (and when I say dark, I mean **DARK**), this was such a fun, spicy change of pace! I was hooked from the start and absolutely loved the mix of spice, primal play and romance.
Sometimes it’s nice to step outside your usual reading comfort zone and find a book that still delivers all the spice!
And of course, we get a happily ever after, which made me love it even more.
If you love spicy romance, masked men, primal play, cnc and a satisfying HEA, definitely add this one to your TBR!
If You Catch Me by E. McIntosh completely pulled me in. I went into this book expecting a spicy romance, but I got so much more than that. Mia and Nash had me hooked, and the chemistry between them was absolutely everything. I loved the combination of the intense chase, the tension, and the way their connection grew into something deeper.
Mia is such a strong, independent woman who has spent her entire life figuring things out on her own. She’s struggling financially and trying to finish her architecture degree, so when she signs up for a consensual pursuit experience to earn money, she has no idea how much it will change her life. The fact that she actually makes her masked hunter work for it made their dynamic even more entertaining.
And Nash Solano? I absolutely loved him. He’s intense, confident, and definitely knows what he wants, but there’s also a softer side to him that made me fall for him even harder. Watching their relationship develop beyond the chase was one of my favorite parts. The attraction was undeniable, but I loved seeing them connect on a deeper level, too.
Spoiler: The way Mia’s experience with the masked hunter leads into her connection with Nash was such a fun and exciting part of the story. I loved how their relationship became more than just the thrill of being chased. The ending gave me the happily-ever-after I was hoping for, and I honestly didn’t want their story to end.
The spice was 🔥, the chemistry was incredible, and the writing kept me wanting to read just one more chapter. I loved the mix of romance, primal play, and emotional connection. This was such a fun, addictive read, and Nash is definitely going on my list of favorite book boyfriends.
Five stars from me! If you love spicy romance with a masked man, intense chemistry, and a satisfying HEA, you NEED to read this one

I WOULD RUN!!!! OH. MY. GOODNESS. This book was EVERYTHING!!
Mia and Nash are absolute PERFECTION together! The chemistry? OFF THE CHARTS! The banter? FLAWLESS! The tension, the chase, the anticipation, I was completely HOOKED!
Can we talk about Mia? Because let's be real, we have all been in Mia’s shoes. A fiercely independent woman who's used to handling everything herself, suddenly finding herself tangled up with a man who not only wants to catch her but is more than willing to work for it!
And Nash?! Sir, where do I sign up?! A masked hunter who loves the thrill of the chase and a woman who refuses to make it easy for him. YES. PLEASE. Their dynamic is delicious!
I loved every single moment of this book. The witty exchanges, the undeniable attraction, and the way these two challenge each other made it impossible to put down.
If you're going to do yourself ONE favor, let it be picking up this book! Trust me, you will NOT regret it! As for me? If Nash is doing the chasing, I WILL DEFINITELY RUN... but I might just slow down enough to get caught!
I absolutely LOVED this book. I was hooked from the start and got pulled in straight away, I did not want to put it down - I just had to know what happened next. Usually, I read more contemporary romances and a few dark romances here and there, and this book is the perfect combination of these. It was a fun, spicy romance with some dark consensual elements included. It had a great attention to detail. I kept getting excited to see what would happen at the end of each chapter. The characters had great chemistry, and the writing made you feel like you knew the characters. My favourite character was Nash. For ratings I would say a heat/spice level of 5/5, pace of story 4/5, plot & story 5/5, characters 5/5, emotional impact 5/5, writing style and tone 5/5, and originality 5/5. If you're into books with high levels of heat, thrills, masked men and is exciting to read then this book is for you! I would like to thank the author, E. McIntosh, for this ARC. I received a free copy of this book via bookfunnel and am voluntarily leaving a review.
I recieved If You Catch Me by E. McIntosh as an arc in turn for my honest reviews, so all my opinions are of my own.
I was hook in the beginning. This had a thrilling start. The premise was catching an older broke student trying anything to make money catches the eye of a masked man at an event where they pay to catch women.
The spice was spicing. And I loved Nash's green flashs. Mia had to learn to lean on someone other than herself which I think is something we as readers can very often relate to.
But being at 580 page book there was truly fairly little conflict.
The mother reappearing was interesting and maybe the biggest "twist". It only took 3 chapters total maybe.
The biggest conflicts within the relationship were Nash trying not to buy Mia everything to "fix" the problems. Small communication errors really.
I felt the last 3rd of the book dragging until the very last chapter where he took her to where it all began. I loved that ending. (Besides the epilogue also cutie)

If You Catch Me is a spicy romance with a darker setup, plenty of chemistry and a relationship that grows beyond the first expectations. Mia is trying to deal with a lot in her life, while Nash is intense, protective, and clearly used to getting his way.
The romance between them has many spicy moments, and there is definitely no shortage of heat in this book. Their connection changes as they spend more time together and it was nice seeing them learn how to understand each other outside of the intense chemistry.
As someone who enjoys dark romance, I liked the darker vibe mixed with the romance and all the spice. Some parts moved a little slower for me, but Mia and Nash had enough chemistry to keep things interesting. It also has a satisfying happy ending, which was a nice way to end their story.
If You Catch Me was such a fun easy read. I loved this story from the start with it’s more unique premise and tension.
The dynamics between Mia and Nash are easily the highlight of the book. Mia’s fierce independence and determination make her such a relatable protagonist. Watching Nash - an intense, masked hunter used to getting his way, have to work for the chase, created incredible chemistry and banter between them. The balance of heat, suspense, and emotional connection between them was well done.
I would recommend this to anyone looking for a spicy romance with a high-heat chase and strong characters!
I received an advance review copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
Mia is a broke college student struggling to make ends meet when she signs up to be paid to be chased through a field, and if she’s caught the men can do whatever they want to her within predefined boundaries. What she wasn’t expecting was to enjoy the thrill of the chase or the masked man that’s never far from her thoughts. A cute read, a little too idyllic for my taste with very little conflict or struggle to overcome.
I received this book as an ARC I found the book to be good. It got straight into it which was great. I wasn't sure what the plot was and the chase scenes were over quickly. I would've liked these to be dragged out a but more. I kept waiting for the red flags and the usual relationship dramas. It was an easy book to follow and kept my interest. Lots of spice. Definitely worth the read.
This book had me in a chokehold from the very beginning. The pace was great, and I fell in love with Nash & Mia. I was also thrilled by the attention to detail and realistic expectations Mia when it came to her finances and budgeting. Will definitely be purchasing this once released and can’t wait to read more from E McIntosh.
This book was well written and a brilliant storyline. The intimate components fitted in the story exceptionally well making it a thoroughly enjoyable, intriguing and captivating story. I loved the characters of Mia and Nash and how the story panned out for them. This is one of my best reads this year - absolutely loved it!
Great Romance novel, the MMC has deliciously dirty kinks but is a complete gentleman with a golden retriever personality. FMC is a strong and independent women who is forced to take desperate measures to survive. It's a filthy meet cute with no killing and realistic to everyday life. If you love spicey scenes without the usual gore of a dark romance than this is for you.
This is my second book from E. McIntosh and I am loving the writing style!
This book has kept me reading past my bedtime 😆 It starts as a hunt and ends with a beautiful HEA! The tension between them feels so real, you just want to be her!
I like this book. Nash and Mia are so well suited, very intense dynamics but it works for them. Some good spice and good primal chase scenes. An enjoyable read of you like the chase and heavy intense feelings within the relationship of the mcs.
Loved this book. It got me hooked from the first chapter. Great plot with lots of steam and unique banter. Loved both the FMC and MMC character traits and it seemed like a very realistic relationship with a splash of darkness. Highly recommend!
Spicy, masked men and primal play..what more could you ask for. This is a combination of an contemporary and dark romance. The pace is good and while a bit long it moves well. I enjoyed it.
