高陽（1922年3月15日－1992年6月6日），一說生於1926年。本名許晏駢，譜名儒鴻，表字雁冰。筆名高陽、郡望、史魚、孺洪等。浙江杭州人。為中華民國當代作家，以歷史小說著稱，精通清代歷史掌故。善於以細膩的描敘烘托氛圍，使人如親臨其境，近古歷史小說創作者未有第二人。

此書專談陶澍姻緣的故事。其實我比較想看的是陶澍如何慧眼識英雄，在左宗棠寒微時結親家，出資供女婿胡林翼花天酒地的部分。
