Amazing Athletes

Stephen Curry

Rate this book
NBA scouts nearly overlooked point guard Stephen Curry. Most NBA stars come from well-known schools, but not Stephen. He played for Davidson College in North Carolina, where he set the all-time scoring record for his university and his conference. In 2007-2008, he set the all-time college record for most three-point shots made in a season. Stephen was the seventh overall pick in the 2009 draft, chosen by the Golden State Warriors. He has racked up impressive stats ever since and led his team to the best record in the NBA midway through the 2014-2015 season.

Stephen Curry is a basketball player who plays for Golden State Warriors.

Stephen’s father also enjoyed playing basketball. Stephen initially played for the Davidson Wildcats. He made the Golden State champions in 2015. They again became champions in 2017.

Stephen Curry is an amazing basketball player who has already on many awards. The good news is that he's still young and can play for many more years. The bad news is.... he's not on the Lakers. This book is all about how he came to the NBA and how his life was when he was little. I recommend this book to any Curry fans.

A picture book on the life of basketball superstar Stephen Curry, who plays for the Golden State Warriors. I don't know much about basketball, except for a few stars like Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant, and a few more. This book added little to none to my knowledge. It doesn't have much content, so it's better to read about it from some other source or watch a video if you really want to know more details about Stephen Curry.

This is a sports biography about Stephen Curry. It's a good story with actual pictures of Steph from childhood through his NBA games. Recommended reading for anyone interested in NCAA or NBA basketball.

**Spoiler Alert**

This book is a bio about Stephen Curry a basketball NBA star. He grew up moving around a lot as a kid. He was very small for his age so the school he wanted to go to for college did not accept him as a basketball player.
Stephen's father played for many NBA teams and caused Stephen and his family to live in many different cities and states. His life was going great and still is but once he began to play basketball on his school's team people began to underestimate the Stephen could even play basketball. This continued until he said yes to a college, after no one else wanted him to play on their team. His coaches danced in the living room once he finally said yes after over a year if them trying to get him to play on their team.
Stephen has been to Charlotte and many other cities and states. He and his two other siblings had responsibilities and his mother made sure they were done before they were allowed to go to any of their dad's basketball games. They could not go to the weekday games but they could go to the weekend games because their mother wanted them to be educated.
Stephen had lots of problems with trying to get into college. The college that he wanted to go to said no to him because they thought he was too small to play on their team. Even though he had some problems with college. He seemed to have blown up in the past years. I think that shows that size doesn't matter not one bit.
I rate this book with two stars because even though it gives information to me the book did not give enough information. If there is more information people can learn more about him that don't really know who he is.

Amazing Athletes is a very popular series with our 2nd & 3rd graders, and they love this Stephen Curry book by Jon Fishman. As you can see in the sample below, this is written with fuller paragraphs. The layout and design make this easy for readers who are developing confidence to tackle. Full color photographs and captions complement the exciting text. This biography focuses more on his early years & college playing than Curry's difficult beginning of his pro career.
