Blood and Marrow: A dark romance novella

Rate this book
George
I never meant to marry my best friend’s love interest. But Amity Merriweather is too compelling to ignore, and she's trouble in the most dangerous beautiful, guarded, and a witch in Salem.

He thinks I can keep her safe; that I will be her shield. But this is far from simple. The more time we spend married, the harder it is to deny how deeply I feel—or ignore the bond she shares with him. In a town where women are watched, witches are hunted, and desire must be hidden, I must decide how much I'm willing to risk.

BLOOD AND MARROW is a gothic, dark historical fantasy romance with explicit heat, an over-protective husband, a witch-hunting town, and a complicated love triangle.

There was a willow I loved by a creek; sometimes I slept there. I was never afraid, alone in the dark. There was nothing to fear from water and trees and fairytales.

The real monsters were always people.

...

Can we forgive injustice?
Do we accept the fate forced upon us?
Should we fight, no matter the cost?
How do we move on from great loss?
What would you trade to relive one moment?

I write folklore and mythology inspired dark fantasy. Emphasis on dark. I don't shy away from serious issues and emotions: suicide, depression, mental illness, abuse, death, infertility, and assault are all in my books. These are not for pleasure or shock value, but because I want to write about authentic pain and suffering, and how we heal ourselves through the bad things that have been done to us.

My books will probably make you cry. I hope it helps more than it harms.

Must Read For George's POV

Oh my George! You naughty boy 😏 We knew how he was in Tallow & Bone, but seeing everything through his eyes & reading his thoughts, WOW! & he's so poetic too in the way he speaks & loves Amity. Friend, husband, member of the community, Sweet Saint George. Just don't upset him or get on his bad side.

This was everything we could have wanted & more. If you read Tallow & Bone & loved it, you definitely need to read George's POV in this novella.

The perfect novella and follow-up!

I didn't realize how many things happened behind the scenes that the men, Amity loves, did for her until the of Tallow & Bone. Getting this novella to read after the emotional destruction of that book was an extra treat I didn't know I needed! The friendship, love, and magic runs deep with these characters, and Rhiannon wrote them perfectly! Make this a must-read for after Tallow and Bone!!

This novella comes out to haunt us... after reading Tallow And Bone and falling in love with George, this right here is a short stab in the heart... He is even more perfect (if that is even possible!) than portrayed in Tallow And Bone! He is loving, he is selfless, he is dedicated to his friendship with Stead and he is a perfect father. He is a walking green flag man! George will definitely remain in my head for a long time!

You don't understand

I will quite literally wreck myself every single time to read anything written by this woman and ESPECIALLY about this man..George...oh my heart, my George. I will never NOT cry when I think of him. This was absolutely amazing. Also, I think maybe I'm a masochist.

I am flabbergasted and absolutely beside myself. Nothing that I was anticipating and my heart and mind are struggling to agree here. Knowing George gets his POV from Tallow and Bone made my heart equally excited and hurt. Then I dove in and my jaw dropped, views and feelings swooned harder and what in the actual fudgenuggets was that ending!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do enjoy novellas but usually find it’s just a cute way of prolonging the world I loved. This one, this was more. This really added a layer of understanding to the main story of tallow and bone, and I ate it up. My only complaint is I wanted MORE. I wanted the next scene from where it ended (coz REALLY RHI??) and I wanted more weight - although my heart may not have coped.

I loved Tallow & Bone and this was a great addition to the story.
I love George and knowing some of his history was great. Gave a little bit more to the story.
George wasn't suppose to fall for Amity. But he did!
I received an advance review copy at no cost, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

I love George 😌. Only thing more I have liked was his POV when Amity was so depressed....and also maybe an alternate ending with the three of them together ❤️
