I really wish she had fleshed this out. I think it would have made a terrific full length book. Loved the two main characters. Despite it being so short, I still enjoyed it.
When I’m in need a the perfect romantic suspense book, my go to author is always Sharon Sala. Penance was perfect. The plot was fun, addictive, and nail-biting. Nikki recovering from a bank robbery and shooting suddenly begins to have visual thoughts of a current child kidnapping. As her boyfriend, homicide detective Dominic Tucci and other detective are at loss as where to begin their investigation, Nikki begins to reveal what she is seeing and feeling in her visions. Question is: Will they arrive in time to save Molly? This was a thriller that everyone will love.
For a very short read, this book packed a lot of punch. Nicole Masters was shot in the head during a robbery she walked in on, she's trying to put her life back together again but the side effects from her injury are difficult. Mispronouncing words, staggering when she stands and of course there is her shaved head, which is the least of her worries. Her boyfriend Dominic Tucci, is also a homicide cop. They are just starting to get used to the new life, when Nicole, starts having psychic episodes.
When Dominic realizes that Nicole has seen a crime scene that even the police don't know about, there is a lot of doubt, terror and pressure. Nicole wants to help but time is not on their side.
I was caught from the start and I felt like I was racing against time to solve this. Loved it! One of her best efforts!
Exceptional!! As usual I could not stop reading until I finished the entire book. You are caught up in the injury sustained at the pharmacy, then thankful for the love she has in her life. Suddenly there is another hard to understand side effect of her head and you find yourself gritting your teeth and praying all end well. A must read from my favorite lady
Sharon Sala is an exceptional story teller. You will always love the stories she creates. This would be good for older teens and mature people
Nicole sustains a head injury during a robbery and suddenly she is able to help police solve crimes and spot survivors in tragedies. She is still trying to find herself throughout this story, but at the end she seems to accept the psychic gift that all other to save others
Another wonderful book that puts passion and romance with danger and thrills. Sharon never write a book with so much deep feelings in her characters. She really knows how to pull you in. I am collecting every book she ever wrote as she has gone to the top of my best author books.
This the second time I have read this book. It's just as good as the first time. I love to read anything by Sharon Sala. She also write under the name Dinah McCall. You need only to read one book by her and then you're hook.
Interesting characters and a fast moving storyline. After a bullet to her head during a robbery, Nicole is in the healing process when she suddenly begins to have physic visions.
Sharon Sala always keeps you wondering what is coming next and this story was no exception!! Great story and very interesting characters. No wonder her readers loved her work!!
Nicole Masters was shot and is trying to get her life back. But her injuries have caused some challenging issues. Now she has started to have visions and she "sees" the kidnapping of a girl. Her boyfriend, Dominic is a cop and she confides in him about her visions. Dom realizes that Nicole is seeing things that could help find the girl and so the search begins.
This plot has been done many times and I usually like it. Ms. Sala has written some wonderful books that I have kept and reread all the time but sadly this one just didn't quite work.
