I wish the author had been a bit more creative with his characters' names. Three characters named Larry, Cary, and Gary creates -- and maintains -- confusion.

I liked it! It’s good read.
I liked how Lucy was duped. And how Kane figured it out. It was convoluted but in the end it became clear.

"A sunshine tour with a delicious twist"
Evidently there are a few books featuring Mark Kane and Lucy. I stumbled across this one and enjoyed the read. I like the format of a male and female detective partnership; there are so many more options for the writer than with a lone hand. This is well written, it has an easy style about it. When you break the plot down into its component parts, it's actually very simple. In order to flesh it out the author takes us on a tour of South East Asia, almost negating the need for a look at Trip Advisor. I now know where to eat, which bars to visit, and which to avoid. I know a good deal more about modes of travel and how long it takes to fly, sail, or drive between a multitude of destinations. It sounds like a beautiful corner of the world, so even if you aren't reading this on vacation, but stuck at home with the nights drawing in, this story will provide you with the escapism you crave. As a lawyer Mr Hemmings understands the details of all the elements pertaining to the case that Mark and Lucy are tasked to solve. He explains things to us in an entertaining manner, so don't think you'll be bored - you won't, this is an entertaining and engaging mystery.

This is the third in the Mark Kane mysteries. Having read the second and been impressed, I had high hopes for third book. And it doesn’t disappoint. When Lucy meets Dale Porter a fellow American in Thailand, she doesn’t know what she’s letting herself in for. What unravels is another murder, full of suspense and intrigue where Dale is accused of a murder he didn’t commit. The black widow in the title is the wife of the dead man. Plenty of twists and turns here, and the ending is worth the wait. Another very impressive addition to the Mark Kane series and well worth a read. Highly recommended.

Great book
Lucy is on Vacation in Thailand. Then two friends she has met along the way leave and travel to the Philippines, where one is arrested for murder. Lucy contacts her boss and "partner" Mark Kane to investigate and prove the man should not nave been arrested. This is an excellent book. The details of The Philippines and Thailand is so good it is like you are the. Can't recommend this book enough.

Third mark kane mystery i have read.
Nice easy reading. I enjoy these mysteries. They don't have you on the edge of your seat and they are not a can't put down book but they are good and will have you interested - not gripped - until the last paragraph. I shall be reading more in the series in between books that are more heavy going I would recommend reading one when life in general gets a bit bumpy! They will relax you

This is book three in the Mark Kane mysterIes. I really am enjoying this series. I recommend this series. This series is very good mysteries.

Well written who dunnit.
