I had no idea when I read Cale that it was the end of this series. How sad! I suppose every good thing must come to an end, and what an end! VA has gifted us with bonus material that lovingly wraps up the stories of all three men who had their own Walk of Shame books, Slade, Hemy and Cale. I'm shedding no tears over this loss, because I know VA has much more up her sleeves, and ALL of it is steamy and sexy!
Rather than review each individual book, which I've already done, I'll just say that this book is the only one you need if you haven't read any Walk of Shame books. All three books are here in full, plus a bit extra. I bought this set just for the bonus material. I guess that makes me a crazy superfan, but I really don't care. :) I'm just glad I got to read it before posting a release blitz on my blog. I love that when books are surprise-released early!
I just hope Amazon makes this easier to find. I had to go to VA's Amazon author page to find this. Searching Walk of Shame Victoria Ashley on Amazon gives you just about everything EXCEPT this. So, on my blog I'm providing a direct link. Crazy Amazon! LOL!

All in all I would give the whole series 3☆.
It wasn't the best but not the worst.

Victoria Ashley was on my 2016 TBR list all year long. So when I saw she had an audiobook with all three Walk of Shame books together, I jumped on it! 15 hours and 22 minutes of hot for only a $1.99 upgrade? Sign me up! Three stories about three hot male strippers. This sounds fun, right? It was.
Slade:

Slade was a cocky manwhore who was completely full of himself. As a male stripper, he had a new girl every night. Never the same pussy twice. All that changed when his roommate's friend Aspen came around. The attraction was instant, raw and primal. She knew she needed to resist the manwhore, but one week in the same house will make things difficult!
Let me tell you, this got hot and dirty! The character and story development was really good for a mostly sex novella, and I never felt like it was written for the sex and the story came second. But Slade's dirty talking was the highlight of this part of the book. Yum, he is a pro!
Hemy:
Hemy has spent years having dirty, pierced, meaningless sex with anyone that moved. And holy hell, the first chapter started with a 'bang'. He was just trying to numb his heartache and erase the pain of losing the one person he ever loved, Onyx. He knows he drove her away with his drug and alcohol addiction. But it's been years and that's all in the past. Now she's back, and he needs to prove he has changed.
"I don't fuck like a boy, I fuck like a man. I like it wild, wet, rough and rowdy. If you want a lover this is your chance to back out."
Not only was Hemy hot as hell, there was a lot of emotion and depth. There was voyeurism and a F/M/M scene, and it was all amazingly steamy, yet filled with emotion.
Cale:
Cale is a virgin stripper. He might simulate sex every night, he might be an expert at using his tongue, but he has never been inside a woman. He is saving that for the girl who went to Mexico 6 years ago. The girl he was best friends with and never stopped thinking of. They haven't even really communicated. She doesn't know he waited.

While Cale wasn't my favorite of the three stories because it lacked a little bit of the emotion and depth, it was still a totally hot read with a bit more fun and banter than the two previous stories.

•Didn't love the female narrator, I think she is better for a comedy or chick lit.
The Down & Dirty:
3 hot male strippers. 3 dirty talkers. 3 books filled with hot sex. Though these lean more towards sex than story, each of the books had a pretty deep story that made you more invested in the hot sex. I totally recommend it you like the cocky alpha-hole who changes for the right girl, has a lot of hot and filthy sex and is totally devoted to the heroine. I will be reading more from Victoria Ashley.
Rating: Slade and Hemi 4.5 Stars, Cale 4 stars. 4.5 stars overall. 5 Heat. 4.5 narration.

I really enjoy this series each book got better and better. I have a confession to make I enjoy Slade but for some reason I wasn't exited for Hemy I just want it to get it over with to get to Cale which was who I was exited for but it ended up surprising me big way I absolutely and completely loved it I could't stop reading it I went to work with 3 hours of sleep because I had to finish it. I love love love Onyx and Hemy ♥. And Cale oh Cale Cale Cale I knew I was gonna love him and I did. The Bonus Content was good, but can I say I still want more Walk of Shame...

Slade:
I really battled on whether I liked this story. Please let me explain before crucifying me over that statement. I had a love/hate relationship with this book. One I did not like the cheating in this story. No matter how you sliced it in my eyes that one character was cheating. Second I really battled with the character Slade. He had a God complex. The biggest ego you could of ever imagined. He thought women should fall at this feet and no woman should refuse him. No matter how much I battled with the character Slade I could not put the book down. See Slade also had this hurt that you could see while you were reading. A pain and hurt that went very deep. So even though I saw this huge ego I knew there had to be more to him then what I was seeing.
I actually done whispersync with this book. The narrators did a great job with this book.
Aspen had a lot to deal with. Though there are some things I did not like about her character, all in all I actually liked her. She was a character that held a lot of pain and distrust due to someone in her life. She was highly attracted to Slade though she wanted to deny it as much a she could.
I love Slade’s determination when it came to Aspen. He was determined to have her though he will find out he has bitten off more then he could chew.
There is a lot of steamy parts in this book and I found I was really like some of the other characters in the books as well. Do I have plan reading other books in this series. yip I sure do.. What can I say. I need to find out more about Hemy and Cade.

I just loved Cale and Riley’s story. When reading book 1 and 2 I had to wonder how the author was going to go with Cale and Riley’s story. Such a sweet and hot story. Think young childhood love.
When reading about how Cale and Riley had been best friends and Cale had loved her so much that he was determined to save himself for her. I found that so sweet. There are some surprises that I was not expecting but all in all I truly loved the book.
I love the passion between these two. No matter how years these two had been apart it didn’t matter. they were able to pick back up.
I love how they reconnected. I did wonder how Riley would handle that Cale was a male stripper. Had to wonder what he would do if she rejected him because of it.

This was broken down by book. Slade Merrick was first. This book started out really rocky for me. The writing felt a bit juvenile and repetitive the sex scenes written in a very elementary way, but as it continued it did get better. Its like the author finally caught her groove. The story itself got better, the sex steamier and I actually found myself enjoying the story. Slade is a broken man who is drowning his broken heart in booze and sex. He gave up a promising career to strip at the Walk of Shame. His rule is to never have sex with the same person twice but when Aspen stumbles into his life he can't seem to help his heart from thawing and he starts feeling things he hasn't for a long time.
Hemy Knox came next. Hemy is a stripper at the Walk of Shame bar, the love of his life left him 4 years ago when he runs into her at a job. Seeing her again Hemy is determined to make her his again. Onyx left 4 years ago because she couldn't stand to have Hemy continue to break her heart with his drug use and the women who would always run their hands over him while he was high. In Slade it was alluded to that Hemy is bisexual and with the exception of one minor scene I just didn't see it at all. Once again the writing began extremely repetitive and simple. If I had to hear about Onxy's P*&^ one more time....use some imagination, her sex, her wetness, anything but repeating the P word several times in one sentence. Again the story line was good but the writing could use some work. Although I do have a thing for tattooed pierced men.

Cale promised to save himself for his one love Riley. When Riley returns to town and she reconnects with Cale it starts out shaky but then quickly gets heated. While the sex was better in this book than the previous two, I think this writer is better at the romance than the smoking hot, panties up in flames books. Keep it simple and tame and let the story carry the book. Its almost painful reading some of these encounters. Not sure I will pick up the next books in this series.

Slade: 3.5☆ The second half of this is a lot better than the first half. I really wish this was a full length novel cause I think it would have been much better with having more to the story. I liked parts of the storyline, while other parts were only ok. Slade is a complex guy. He has his issues and I'm glad we get to find out about his past and see how he got to be the man he is today. I was hoping for more of an ending, but I know him and Aspen will still be relevant to the storyline in the other novellas.
Hemy: 3.5☆ It's pretty close, but I think I liked Slade just a tad more than Hemy. I still liked Hemy and Onyx's characters, but I think I like Slade and Aspen just a little bit more. I loved these heart aching, maddening stories! My husband who usually gives me a lot of flack for my listening choices ( he is just jealous) Caught part of Slade and Ashly's story and was hooked - so much so, he didn't want me to listen without him! PFFT-
While that did not happen, we did enjoy each of these books the individuality they had, as well as much as they intertwined, that being said, Slade's story was our favorite!

This book was amazing. There was so much steam I needed a cold shower. I even teared up a bit at some scenes. Victoria is brilliant with her writing. I wish I could give more than 5 stars.

I loved Hemy so much! His journey was amazing. I was super mad at Onyx for a while. I just wanted her to love him😂. Like girl quit being stubborn and love him. Another fabulous book!

I was excited to read Cale's story. It was pretty good. It wasn't my favorite but it was still good. Love all the sexy scenes.

Smoking Hot!
These books are sexy and the bonus content was a perfect added touch. The men are every woman's wet dream and the girls are relatable. The plots are interesting and it's easy to lose yourself in them. I read all of the books - plus the bonus content was a perfect way to wrap together all 3 books. I'm hoping the author does a book involving Sage so we can learn her whole story.

I listened to this book on the fastest speed I could just to get through it and say I finished it. I don't mind sex scenes if there is actually a story somewhere in it. Well, in this case, there isn't. The author does attempt to put a story into each one, but it's so pathetic it would have been better not to even try. Bunch of idiots who think they are God's gift to women and a bunch of idiot women who agree. Waste of money.

This box set is amazing! Each of their stories was as hot as the last and made you want to keep reading more and more. I actually went and bought more books by this author as soon as I got done! I highly recommend that you get started now!! Especially if you love reading smexy alpha maes falling to their knees for a woman!!

If you are looking for a HOT, dirty listen, look no further. You have arrived. This review is for the series but I originally listened to them separately and when able as a set, I bought them. Yes, they are that good. Slade is my favorite of course but the others are just as hot. If what I mentioned in my first sentence is what you like in your reads/listens, I highly recommend.

I liked this book but I wish I had a little bit more from each couple. I also really am turned off by Male strippers so I had a hard time really loving the male leads... The couples felt right for each other and I like how they were put together.
