What a great science fiction book! It starts out with heartache and what we all wish we could do when we are upset...stay in bed and forget about the world. When the main character, Kate, decides it's time to get at back into the world she meets Markus. Meeting Markus changed her world and how she feels about the superiors new race the Surples. I don't give away spoilers but this sci-if book has many suspenseful twist along with romance. It keep my attention to the very end. I look forward to reading more from this author!
I just didn't like the heroine of the book. I couldn't sympathize with her and I thought speech patterns were too unnatural. Future-world didn't seem very well thought-out (or at least wasn't explained to my satisfaction).
