Sometimes, Huron Blackheart kept his word.
But this was not one of those times.

When the Tyrant of Badab needs a powerful soul to feed his hamadrya, the parasitic familiar that aliments and keeps him alive, Lufgt Huron seal a pact with the Heterodox, a cabal of powerful ex-Word Bearers chaos sorcerers, and unleashes his wrath on an unlucky convent of Sisters of Battle.

A very good action packed e-short by Sarah Cawkwell, a nice insight about Huron Blackheart cunning and villainess but the final twist was not a real surprise for me.

Interesting characters and potential, but poor writing made this not as good as it could’ve been. The dialogue is a bit stilted and words are often repeated when not having purple prose descriptions. You have a couple of sentences like this “‘I confess I’ve heard rumors,’ he confessed”. My interest in the characters involved may be giving this a higher rating than it should be, but I’m rounding up. Ended up being a simple story with a obvious twist and not much depth. Do I regret reading it, no, but it could’ve been much better in the hands of another writer I think
